“We had a visit to The Boston Arms as we have family in Woodseats. What a brilliant little place! Great beer selection (craft is where it's at!), cosy atmosphere (brilliant for us who are NeuroSpicy) and dog friendly! Absolutely loved it and will be back in again when we can throw the kids at the family for a few hours!”

“What delightful place! Had a decadent hot chocolate made with actual chocolate flakes in hot milk, mini marshmallows and cream. The baked potato was divine, as was my fiancées chicken and brie panini !”

“A lovely little shop. They have three pumps of well kept beer (perhaps some keg too, I didn't notice) all of which are great. Then a good selection of cans and bottles which you can drink in or take away. Very nice strongly recommended.”

“Went for Sunday lunch. I've been meaning to try it out and wasn't disappointed. I had the beef cheeks (special of the day) which were melt in the mouth. The portions are very generous with a separate boat of gravy to go with the mushroom and ale sauce it came with. The service was top notch and the beer (Thornbridge Jaipur) was just the right pint to go with the meal. My partner had the turkey roast with a glass of red which she really enjoyed. We will visit again. Can't recommend highly enough. I'd suggest phoning in advance since we had the choice of getting there in 10 or waiting until after 3 to eat.”

“A Cozy Morning Breakfast. Visited on a snowy morning in 19November24. After driving from Manchester, my partner and I were starving, and this charming spot didn't disappoint. The staff were incredibly friendly, and I was impressed by how quickly our food arrived - definitely the fastest service I've experienced in a cafe. The coffee was excellent, and the cozy atmosphere made it perfect for a cold winter morning. Convenient parking just around the corner. Highly recommend for a quick, warm, and delicious breakfast!”

“This is now our go to pub on the way home from walking or climbing in the peaks. Cheap, good quality real ale, with a nice selection of mostly local breweries. Friendly staff and locals”

“What a lovely country pub! We had tapas which were beautifully presented and full of flavour. Service was friendly and attentive. We couldn’t fault it. Very good value too, £58 for food and two drinks each. I wish I lived closer as the steak coming out looked pretty good.”

“Went here as some of our friends recommended it. Very pleasant and the staff very friendly. We only had coffee but it was nice and we enjoyed it. We tend to go for places with a good ambience and this is definitely high up on the list and we felt very comfortable. It does get quite busy but that's good for a local eatery and we would certainly go more often.”

“My 2 year old and I had a lovely few hours at Buddies today. Its only our second time visiting (the first time he was only just walking). It's definitely going to be a regular spot for us, not just because it's a great place for him to burn off some energy, but because it's the cleanest indoor play area that I've been too! The food is also lovely & plentiful, and the staff are friendly too. I would definitely recommend a visit to Buddies!”

“Such lovely staff serve up the food and drinks at Buttylicious. You can eat inside or sit outside using one of the new tables and benches available. Full cooked breakfasts are available, and vegetarian breakfasts are also advertised. However, the vegetarian option doesn't include vegetarian sausage or bacon. The breakfast consists of hash browns, egg, beans or tomatoes. There is a good range of hot & cold sandwiches available. I can definitely say that the chip buttys are really tasty. Excellent chips, best we have tasted for a long time. To top it all off, if you still have room, there is a really good range of cakes that taste as good as they look. Over the months, we have never been disappointed with them and have resorted to buying them to take home too...... Hope you all enjoy your food”

“Catered for Mums funeral, buffet for 60 people, food was fresh, excellent and as discussed with owner beforehand who was very accommodating to our needs. Hot and cold options along with homemade cakes, no paper plates here! Staff very helpful and friendly. Thank you”

“Order from Lotties quite regularly as I work in the town centre and it’s by far the best place for breakfast cobs! Cob sized and quality is very good value for money! However their other items on the menu are equally as good, super tasty and the 3 cheese triple cheese toasty is a must try, the best toastie I’ve ever had!”

“Out first time visiting in over a year. Came for a Birthday/anniversary meal as a family. Food was really good and really big portion sizes for the price! Booked in advance to sit up in the orchard room as its much quieter so I'd recommend that!”

“Been to plenty of Italian restaurants and this is certainly one of the finest and most authentic. Service was first class, Antonio I believe his name was, he was very attentive without being overbearing. He was very kind and memorable. Food was clearly made with high quality ingredients that represented Italy in its finest form, food was fairly priced compared to the top quality we received. Wine was cold, which seems like a normal thing but sometimes it can come warm, not in this case, perfect temperature. Atmosphere was really nice, it's not often I feel the need to take photos of the decor and surrounding areas but this place was truly unique and eye catching, whilst being very home like. Perfect balance. Overall I am very impressed and if I return to Chesterfield again I will surely visit this spot. Please give it a go, Antonio truly deserves all the business. Highly recommend.”
