“So for years I’ve been recommending this place as a ‘go to’ for pretty much everything… a relaxed evening with some cocktails on the terrace, light lunch through the day or a meal in the evening for occasions- anyone visiting Sheffield I’ve always recommended this place. It had been a while since I last visited myself, but the other day me and a friend came in for lunch. We’d seen the promotion giving the option of 2 or 3 courses for a set price on a Wednesday. Wow… The hanging kebabs were included (pleasantly surprised), and the quality and freshness of the food was outstanding. So much flavour! The interior in this place is always bright and feels well looked after. Staff were super attentive and approachable, drinks were (and still are) good quality- not like a lot of the cheap sugary cocktails in other local bars. This place truly never disappoints. I’m so glad I can confidently say it’s a consistently LOVELY place to go in Sheffield.”

“Had a lovely meal here this evening. A big shout out to Ethan our server. He was very attentive and even tho we didn’t shout out about my birthday, he picked up on that and brought out our desserts with a happy birthday on the plate. Thank you Ethan you’re a star!”

“Blown Away by The Garrison, Wickersley! ​I honestly can't say enough good things about our recent meal at The Garrison, Wickersley. The whole experience was absolutely fantastic from start to finish. ​The restaurant itself is incredibly cosy, and the entire team was just amazing and attentive. A huge shoutout to Joss, who was absolutely brilliant! Due to a last-minute business trip to Sheffield, we needed a table, and he went above and beyond to fit us in and was so helpful in explaining the menu. ​The food quality truly blew me away. Everything tasted superb, proving the dedication to using fantastic quality local produce. The presentation of every dish was top-notch—real eye candy! ​If you're looking for an unforgettable meal with incredible service and a warm atmosphere, you have to try The Garrison. ​We were absolutely delighted and we'll definitely be back soon! “We stopped here for breatfast on our journey to go biking at sherwood forest. The breakfast was really nice, freshly cooked and a amazing cheap price. We bought some homemade cakes and the kids got to pick some 1p sweets for later in the day. The owners are lovely, they are a village shop/cafe so call in and give them your trade, it was only 6 miles away from the sherwood forest. As they are small they don't have a toliet.”

“Just moved to S36 and had three excellent meals after picking up on the Google reviews. Salt & Pepper Chicken, Special Foo Yung, Mushroom Foo Yung, Pork Fried Rice. All really tasty and lovely. ☺️ Defo on the return visit list.”

“We popped in without a reservation but they managed to accommodate us! Everything we got was delicious and we loved every detail. The garlic bread was my favourite! My husband loved the lasagne, very creamy and cheesy.. The dessert was amazing, unlike any other cheese cake we’d had before!”

“Brilliant service, got greeted as soon as we walked in. Didn't get force sold anything, had a nice chat and laugh with staff. Food was served quickly, you can see it all being cooked in front of you. Seating is limited to only 4 tables but we found space easily! Would recommend and will be going back!”

“went for bottomless brunch with nine pals on the weekend. super speedy service - we literally never had an empty drink and you definitely get your money's worth with the deal!! the food was a great portion too - kept you full but not loads of food leftover. three of us weren't drinking and the venue let us order from the normal food menu rather than the bottomless brunch menu which was really appreciated! lots of vegan and vegetarian options too. mikela deserves a special mention - she served us both times ive been and has always been super lovely and smiley and attentive!”

“Excellent and highly recommended! We had the set meal for 2 which is 2 platters and a desert! The food was excellent as were the cocktails followed by prosecco. There was a DJ and 2 singers playing /singing live in the outdoors bit (which is covered). Very enjoyable advise you visit and try!”

“Found this lovely place by accident when visiting Conisbrough Castle we had a delicious breakfast, cake and drinks. The service was great and they were kind enough to bring a bowl of water for our dog. Very happy find.”

“We celebrated our 70th birthday with cooked meals for 21 family members and not a complaint from any one. Meals came out together as fast as they could be carried through from kitchen. We always enjoy our meals when we call in about once a week, but a little worried about us all getting our orders correct, We needent have worried, every thing was top notch, nice and hot. The chef even catered for one that is gluten intolerant, one with a nut allergy but a quick word with the chef and all sorted. The orders ranged from pie n peas, fish n chips, steaks, T.Bone steaks, mixed grills, chicken fajitas and my very own favourite smothered chicken. We were a very happy crowd and all satisfied at the end of the evening. The bar is always in tip top condition with beers as they should be. Thank you for making it memorable. WE WILL BE BACK.”

“Started to explore our local area . Our 1st visit we were greeted by Mac . 2 meals and a drink just under £23. Tasty Home made meals. We were very impressed with everything . Service , atmosphere, Even popped back the next week for an afternoon meal . Really glad I found my new local pub which sells home made grub”

“Had dinner there yesterday with some friends. Been trying to get there for a while but not made it. Wasn't disappointed the food was fresh, tasty and delicious. We had 4 different dishes and each one was enjoyed. Beutiful accompanying rice and naans. Definitely on my list to visit again. Its a shame they don't deliver ti my part of town.”

“Great selection here, many things unavailable elsewhere, staff are always friendly and there is usual plenty of space to sit. There is a very nice atmosphere here and the location on ecclesall road is useful for other establishments and public transport.”

“Wow! We went for breakfast and would definitely go again. The staff were friendly, the restaurant is beautifully presented, nicely lit and comfortable. The food was presented well, hot and very tasty. A good choice of drinks available and a good selection of breakfast options on the menu. Altogether a fantastic experience at The Willow Tree Bistro.”

“Called in mid week, just as the menu was changing, so naturally some items were not available. But what they did have was cracking value for money, thier burger is massive, and the one I had, was just the regular burger. Great range of cask beers. Well worth a visit”

“Having come as a recommendation and seeing the good reviews we decided to give it a go and was so happy. The staff were very friendly (especially Sarah) who was very chatty and welcoming. There was plenty of choice and we got meals from different sections of the menu as well as the specials board and it was all great. The Steak & Ale pie was especially amazing!! We didn't have starters so we could try the desserts and they were also all so good!! We will definitely go back again and even though it's a bit more expensive, it is definitely worth it!! Can't wait to try it in summer as well with the live music and beer garden. Thank you all so much. Have been for a second visit with friends to introduce them. Service was a bit slow but it was a beautiful day and all the tables were full. The food was amazing again and we even tried the ice cream parlour next door which was so nice. Spent an hour in the beer garden which was large and I would say it's alright. Tables and chairs were all solid and better than some basic ones. Still 5 stars from me!!”
