“I went for lunch today with two friends. Honestly its such a lovely place. We were in the conservatory and it was warm and cosy and had that " loungy" " home from home" feeling. You don't get that in most of the other coffee places in Dronfield. Tables are usually crammed together with uncomfortable chairs. These chairs are upholstered and really comfy...which is fantastic when you have a bad back! The coffee is strong and how coffee should taste..and I am very picky! It was lovely to look out of the window and see beautiful greenery and vibrant coloured flowers...even saw a squirrel. Michael the owner is really friendly and listening to his stories about the history of The Chantry as we were leaving was captivating. I would also feel comfortable going there with a book on my own. I had a bacon, brie and cranberry panini...really tasty with a side salad and french dressing... If you want an "experience" then I would go here. Its a much welcome change from modern, cold, minimalist places and has a charm that can only come from years and years of history. It's somewhere that ticks the box that no other place round here does. We will be back soon!”

Tables are well laid out, sensibly spaced And the interior decor is top quality. The staff are well trained and interested in the food. “A perfect spot to stay if you want something genuine, honest and friendly. Great location for walks and local attractions, breakfast is a 10 out of 10 and the pub downstairs is lovely, a proper place. Staff amazing, rooms clean and comfy and free parking on site. There's also a restaurant over the road if you fancy a change. Brilliant.”

“Well laid out fishing complex. Catches the sun well for those early season or early morning sessions. Beautiful area. Well stocked ponds. Bailiffs were very helpful and knowledgeable. Lakeside cafe was nice, with good service. Didn't use the onsite tackle shop; however, the other facilities onsite were spot on. A 31 fish day for me. Definitely go again. Didn't use the caravan park of the site but went to this location first, prior to fishing, and in looked nicely tended.”

“I could not recommend Lyndsey and Happy Hounds enough. Our Lhasa Apso Olive has recently started going over to stay with Lyndsey and the others dogs whilst we are away or are in need of someone to have her. There is no one else that I would rather look after our dog. She is all set up with everything you need for a safe and secure environment. Whilst we were away we got regular updates not to mention the fabulous videos showing our dog having a fabulous time. Lyndsey cares very much about the dogs giving them loads of cuddles, attention and taking them on walks where they can enjoy themselves. There is no else I would trust with my dog and my dog Olive absolutely loves Lyndsey. We go away very happy knowing she will very well cared for. Her house is very dog friendly all ready for when they come to stay. Olive just makes herself like she is at home when she is at Happy Hounds she goes in and settles straight away with no hesitation. We love you Lyndsey and Happy Hounds. You are great. I definitely recommend to anyone.”

“This is the best location for a quiet retreat, walking holiday or base to explore Derbyshire. The surroundings are beautiful and historic and the garden apartment situated at the back of the Hall is just lovely. The Hall it's self is like stepping back in time to an era of crinolines & lord of the manor. Nothing is too much trouble for Mel the owner and she can tell you the history of the building and land from the time that it was built. My Mother in law visits every year from West Palm Beach in Florida and she adores the place, she is British and loves to come home whenever she can, this is the perfect place to recharge your batteries and experience a little piece of heaven.”
