“Fantastic pizza and very friendly owner who'll make you feel welcome while preparing your coffee the proper way it's supposed to be. Overall highly recommend this place for its authenticity quality of the food and it's cleanliness”
“Really nice restaurant, chef came out to talk through the menu. Clearly very passionate about their food! There was a big party in there as well so I think the waiters had their hands full but overall 10/10 would very much recommend and will definitely come back!”
“There are not enough stars to rate this place. We had no booking, no plan, no nothing. We got a takeaway pizza, exceptional amounts of cheese and chilli, and a taxi ordered + a bottle of wine. 9000000% would return here for all occasions. The staff where beyond lovely. Just go here youll like it.”
“if you want to have a nice meal at home you should definitely use this restaurant, it is an indescribable taste, I definitely recommend you to order from here, it is very delicious, thank you for this beautiful and delicious meal! I definitely recommend it. Definitely use it!!!!”
“Had a lovely pizza and Salmon linguine. Excellent service very friendly staff. Highly recommend”
“I would like to take the time to say it was mine and jay first time visiting this evening and wow where to start from our first greeting with Alfie we felt so relaxed and was able to sit and order drinks and relax. We were taken to our table the view over looking the lake was breath taking and beautiful. Our server came jay nothing was to much trouble made lovely conversation. The food was absolutely to die for and far to much of it but we were able to take it home. We are both vapers and you trusted us to leave the table to both go outside together which was lovely, Alfie spike to us on return inside as we were looking through the windows of the outside room the new shisha lounge. Alfie took us inside it's beautiful and we have booked a table to come back in November to try it. We had a little mishap with the server who brought our food out who dropped my rice all over the table. But myself and jay laughed and said it was a learning curve for the staff who felt awful, that didn't change our evening which was stunning from start to finish. So please share our thanks to everyone tonight we will see you in November love Stacey and Jay xxx”
“One of the loveliest Italian places we've been to. Excellent atmosphere, wonderful staff, and great food. Only criticisms would be a personal preference for more 'bread-like' pizza dough (higher protein and water content, minimal oil content), and for proper Kalamata olives as opposed to generic (and otherwise awful) "black olives". Oh, and I just prefer linen to serviettes. But otherwise it's a simply wonderful place, with good-quality ingredients, and we'd be delighted to go back in the near future. Thanks very much.”
“Been here quite a few times, sometimes just for coffee, other times had pizza and breakfast, (not at the same time!). Each time the food has been absolutely excellent. I'm not really a pizza fan but these are on a par with ones I've had in Italy. My only gripe, and it doesn't just apply to here, many places do it and I've never understood it, and that is (referring to the English breakfast) why do you cook and provide such great food yet ruin it by supplying the most awful, cheap and nasty brown and red sauce. If it's a cost thing, why not just add 50p to each breakfast and get proper HP Sauce and Heinz Tomato Ketchup? Really, really baffles me!!”
“Fantastic pizzas! Amazing taste served in a small, friendly restaurant. The pizzas are all fantastic. Amazing taste and the crust is superb. Would definitely recommend the dips too. Highly recommend for a good pizza in Sheffield”
“We popped in without a reservation but they managed to accommodate us! Everything we got was delicious and we loved every detail. The garlic bread was my favourite! My husband loved the lasagne, very creamy and cheesy.. The dessert was amazing, unlike any other cheese cake we’d had before!”
“Wow wow wow!!!! This review just won’t be enough to explain how “out of this world”our experience was at Vero Gusto. One of the servers (a lady from Sicily) was so chatty and funny, actually all of the servers were amazing and chatty. Saverio kept coming and topping our water up and checking everything was okay and constantly making sure we were happy and enjoying ourselves. Ester who is the chef is one amazing lady, the food was out of this world honestly. You definitely get what you pay for here and I would recommend it to anyone. We’ve not been on a “date night” in a long time but we are going to make sure we do it more often and come to Vero Gusto. Thank you so much guys and well done! Emma and Isaac.x”
“Little hidden gem. Fantastic food, amazing atmosphere, outstanding service and beautiful experience. If you like Italian food this restaurant is best i have ever been in Yorkshire. Food was delicious and waiters were so lovely constantly attended us. It's lovely little restaurant which definitely hit your expectations. It's been run by their family for years. I had amazing time and I will be coming back more often as I enjoyed it so much. I would definitely recommend this to everyone.”
“Really fun impromptu evening meal with the family. These guys have a great reputation for daytime food and coffee but also do weekend bistro nights. Delicious, interesting food, well cooked and presented. Really friendly service. Highly recommended. Was quiet for a Friday so you might be lucky short notice, really they should be full every night.”
“Great restaurant! The food was so good. The staff are friendly and the service is very good. Recommended.”
“What a gem! We were just visiting for the weekend, and we loved our evening meal at Mamma Mia Pepe. The food was delicious, and the waiter is a true Italian Gentleman, and a delight to speak with. There was a storm the day we visited, and the restaurant was quiet, but hopefully that is rarely the case as this place deserves to thrive. There is a tram stop just down the road, so getting here on the tram could be a good move as parking was a bit limited.”
“My first trip to Pinos and enjoyed all the pizzas, good base and made with love compared to some other local pizza places, friendly staff!”
“Lovely authentic family run Italian restaurant. Food is excellent. Staff friendly. Easy to book by telephone or messenger.”
“Absolutely incredible food, lovely atmosphere and friendly, attentive staff. You can byob for a corkage fee of only £3pp so can bring a bottle of wine and get a bit sloshed to make the food taste even more incredible. Came here for 2 year anniversary with my girlfriend, was very special. Compliments to the chef, best food I have eaten in a long time!”
“Pleasant, independent Italian coffee shop and restaurant. You can order pizza or pasta (homemade with local ingredients) alongside a coffee for less than the cost of a shipped-in panini at other places. Also do a variety of salads and sandwiches.”
“I thought I'd stop giving my money to those pesky American chains and try a local pizza by local people. Boy they did not disappoint! Ingredients quality is much higher and our pizzas had this beautiful char from what I assume is a wood fired oven. Piecewise it's about the same as a D*****'s and delivery was exactly on time so it's a no brainer, this place is my official new pizza provider. I can't wait to try the calzones!”
“I had an amazing experience at this restaurant! The highlight of my meal was the mashed potatoes and eggs. The mashed potatoes were creamy, buttery, and perfectly seasoned. The eggs were fluffy and cooked to perfection, complementing the potatoes beautifully. The combination was simple yet incredibly satisfying. The ambiance was cozy, and the staff were friendly and attentive. I'll definitely be back for more of that delicious comfort food!”
“I went for dinner with a friend and was pleasantly surprised by this cosy, intimate little restaurant. The atmosphere was relaxing and warm, with an open-to-the-room kitchen that added to the character. The staff were incredibly friendly and attentive without being intrusive. What stood out the most, though, was the menu—definitely not your standard, predictable pasta sauces. The variety was refreshing, creative, and full of flavour. They also offer gluten-free fusilli pasta, which is a huge bonus. I can honestly say the pasta I ordered was the best I’ve ever eaten. Perfectly balanced with a decent portion size. Considering the quality, the pricing felt very reasonable. Overall, a delightful place. I would absolutely return and highly recommend!”
“Trattoria Toscana, Doncaster: I'm delighted to give this classic Italian eatery a glowing review. Trattoria Toscana boasts an authentically Italian vibe, complete with friendly, albeit no-nonsense staff who take their food seriously—so it’s wise not to mess around too much! The food here is exceptional. I had a calzone, which was wonderfully fresh, bursting with tomato flavor, and perfectly cooked. My wife enjoyed a pasta dish that was equally fresh and tomato-rich, showcasing the kitchen's commitment to quality and traditional flavors. The restaurant also did an impressive job accommodating dietary preferences, as they skillfully adjusted their menu to cater to a table with vegans and vegetarians. This level of service really highlights their flexibility and customer-focused attitude. Additionally, there was a birthday celebration at our table, and the staff brought out a cake, which was a lovely touch. The overall atmosphere is very welcoming, combining classic Italian culinary traditions with a friendly setting that doesn’t strain your wallet. Trattoria Toscana truly offers a delightful dining experience that celebrates both excellent cuisine and inclusive service, making it a must-visit for anyone in Doncaster looking for a taste of Italy.”
“Been to plenty of Italian restaurants and this is certainly one of the finest and most authentic. Service was first class, Antonio I believe his name was, he was very attentive without being overbearing. He was very kind and memorable. Food was clearly made with high quality ingredients that represented Italy in its finest form, food was fairly priced compared to the top quality we received. Wine was cold, which seems like a normal thing but sometimes it can come warm, not in this case, perfect temperature. Atmosphere was really nice, it's not often I feel the need to take photos of the decor and surrounding areas but this place was truly unique and eye catching, whilst being very home like. Perfect balance. Overall I am very impressed and if I return to Chesterfield again I will surely visit this spot. Please give it a go, Antonio truly deserves all the business. Highly recommend.”

“I come all the way from Manchester, it is so worth it the best halal food ever. Food was piping hot bd service was great. The staff couldn’t do more. I had the tandoori special great price and great taste Thank you parkway pizza”
“What a lovely evening, great food, great staff, great cocktails, and great art... The scallops starter with potato foam, blew my mind... but I was very drunk. There you go Louie and Amy, a well deserved review.”
“Well what can I say, incredible food that was delicious and very tasty, the service was very good and Mario made us feel at home and made me feel very comfortable with telling me how there is no gluten in the kitchen. My girlfriend is vegetarian and they also had loads of options for her. I have Coeliac so it’s difficult finding places that can really minimise cross contamination and then we stumbled across this absolutely lovely place where everything is gluten free. We came for my Dad’s birthday and Mario brought out a cheesecake with candles and sang happy birthday with us, what a great birthday he’s had thanks to this place and this lovely gentleman, Mario. I cannot fault a single thing with our meal! Gluten intolerant, Coeliac, or just want good food? You MUST TRY THIS PLACE! We also bought a ton of gluten free food items from their in restaurant shop and it was brilliant with so many different items to choose from. From sweet treats like cheesecake and frangipani to arancini to flatbreads and pasta and even gluten free noodle pots. Mario even threw in some complimentary items such as mousse and some biscuits and treats. It is not often that you find a restaurant as good as this, and being fully gluten free is just another thing that Akentannos does brilliantly. We finished the night off with a complimentary shot of Sardinian liquor and a farewell from everybody who works there. Thank you Mario and all the team at Akentannos, we will definitely be back! If I could rate out of 100 I would give 200!”
“We were looking for somewhere for lunch and stumbled across the Olive Grove. At first, we thought they were closed as it looked dark through the windows. When we got inside we were greeted by a very friendly member of staff offering to find us a table and insisting they were open! I think there were two other customers in there, so it was very quiet. (the number of customers is often an indication how good a place is, so I was a little cautious). Anyway, I needn’t have worried. It turned out to be a lovely place to stop for lunch. I suspect as it’s a Bistro and a little tucked away, their evening trade will be their most busy time. The staff were very helpful and the service prompt. The decafe tea was good and the food excellent. I had a platter on a wooded board, with chunks of different types of bread, cheese, olives, salad and cold meats. It was delightful! By the time we walked out I felt I had just sampled a taste of Spain.”
“Another lovely evening had by all as always. Great local restaurant!”
