Upon reading the reviews about here, I ordered, picked up and can confirm the food is absolutely gorgeous. Cash only though but there is a cash machine around the corner so eating from here in future will be a no brainer. Look forward to it and a definite 5 star.”

“My room was comfortable and clean. It had plenty of tea, coffee, etc. Had a smart tv and a decent shower. The ladies in the bar were welcoming and friendly. The breakfast the next morning was tasty and good value at £7.95 for a small, including a hot drink. A couple of minor negatives are. The hireable venue opposite may keep people awake for a while. It depends on how much of a light sleeper you are. Also, the room was really bright early in the morning.”

“local corner shop to me, nice staff with a wide variety of stock from toiletries to groceries to even birthday cards and a cute dessert section. always love coming here on a sunday and getting a packet of crisps and sometimes a sweet treat. :)”

“Stayed in suite 10 for one night, it was ready early and we were allowed late checkout too. Staff were lovely and really helpful, the rooms were really spacious and clean, lovely terrace too! Bed was really comfortable and massive. Fan provided in the room. Bar and restaurant were lovely and the breakfast was fantastic with a lovely selection. Close to the car boot as literally next door! Don't be put off by the motorway noise as there was none! Will definitely stay again”

“Stayed at the Hasland as doing a training course in the area , couldn't fault the place at all , rooms clean , people lovely especially Debbie and the other lady I think her name was shirley , the pork pie and pickles from the bar were excellent . Definently be back Thank you for a lovely stay .”

“A neat and tidy indoor area to dine in. The staff are very welcoming and polite, when you enter they ask if you are eating in or eating out - I was eating inside on a table for 2, (we could sit wherever we wanted! No restrictions!) and were given menus to choose from. There were some items not on the menu however and the menu was out of date with some prices however they quickly rectified this issue by explaining to me what other options they had as well as any extras I could have. I got the double cheese burger with nacho-cheese loaded fries with a Cadbury's flavoured Hot Chocolate with whipped cream and marshmallows on top, it looked like it had been crafted to perfection. The burger patties were very thick and juicy, not dry at all and there were multiple layers of cheese per patty! The nacho-cheese was very creamy and runny as well as a nice treat on top of my fries (make sure to ask if you want a lot or not a lot of nacho-cheese as it can be very strong tasting). After my main meal I asked about their ice cream, they do very proper ice cream in multiple ways of eating such as: small tub, waffle cone, sundae and others! It was a fixed price for my sundae so that meant I could have as many extras as I'd wanted! I ended up with having a Nutella base with Chocolate, Vanilla, and Lotus Biscoff balls of ice cream. When it came to my table they served an extra pot of Biscoff bits to sprinkle on at my discretion while eating. Overall a very, very good experience and definitely one of the best Cafés in Clowne! If you're in town and craving a bite to eat at a low cost, head to Bites!”

“We went for lunch on a Tuesday myself, wife and baby. Food was delicious. We asked for a table with space for the pram and my mobility aid and the lady showing us to the table was so polite and moved chairs out of the way to make our table more comfortable for us. It’s a small thing but when you’re disabled and have a newborn small things like that can make a big difference. Our server Beth was great, very polite and helpful. The food was great. The menu has changed since last time I visited but it was delicious.”

Delivery was spot on aswell.”
