“We called back again tonight this place is amazing great staff the place was buzzing, even though they were full we didn’t have to wait for our food. If I could award them ten stars, how can you improve on perfection, but they did it again visit for yourselves. Thank you for a wonderful evening Wow this place is fantastic well worth a visit. It isn't very often a Restaurant ticks all the boxes but this one does Great food Pleasant and very friendly staff. And best of all value for money. Good disabled access entry from the main street out of the car into the building. Please make the staff aware of your needs when booking your table. The Crown carpark is at the rear, a quick 2 min walk over the road well sign posted and it's only a £1 after six Thank You for a great evening and we will be going back.”

“Fairly regular here. As always welcomed by the service staff (Red) asked how we were before taking our order. Always polite and friendly. Two Calzones ordered and good enough to pass muster. Decent portion size. See you again.”

“Fantastic Kebabs. Ordered a large mixed kebab consisting of toner, chicken shwarma and tikka with salad in pitta and a generous serving of garlic Mayo. Really nice and tasty. Will definitely return”

“Wonderful, wonderful bar. The DJ is out of this world!! Me and a couple of pals had dinner and drinks here on a Saturday night. I didn’t realise the place turns into a full blown nighty C after dark. Food was amazing, service too. But, the DJ was something else! Got chatting with the DJ who names himself ‘Joey the Axe’ (I think). He was brilliant. Read the room with his music, and was very very friendly. Played all of our requests without issue and made the night very special. Even gave me a lift home and walked me to my door!! I’ll never forget you Joey the Axe.”

“Amazing food and friendly service, not badly priced but the atmosphere could be improved slightly. It's very well decorated and has a nice vibe but the lighting is really bright, it could feel a lot cosier if it was a little softer with the lights. A great place to eat though.”

“Here for a course for 2 nights just 2 miles away from here, so for me the location was excellent and also quiet for me to relax and study. Staff very friendly and accommodating. Food in the pub is excellent, dare I say some of the best pub food I have ever had. Rooms are very comfortable and relaxing with some lovely extra touches. Excellent beer garden and choice of beers. Really impressed and would love to come back.”

“We arrived on an early sunday evening and it was busy. However the host (possibly a manager) she kindly acknowledged me and advised she would be with me shortly. Soon after she returned and was able to accommodate our walk in table request for 3 people and a dog. She was very friendly and welcoming. I think there is just one room where dogs can sit but the room was very pleasant with all the Christmas decorations and fairly lights. Our table was by the fire which was nice and they kindly lit it for us on request. The gentleman who served us was very pleasant and friendly. Possibly a manager ( sorry I didn't get his name) but he was dressed different to the other staff and he was very accommodating getting water for the dog etc. The food was delicious and a decent size, we all had Sunday roasts and they were excellent. Beautifully presented and very tasty. They even kindly let my mum have the kids version as due to dietary issues she can't eat too much. This place has a lovely ambience, all the staff were very friendly and pleasant, even fellow customers were friendly. There was a big table near us that were no trouble and seemed nice but as they were quite drunk they were very loud and even swearing quite a bit which isn't ideal when trying to enjoy a relaxing meal but it didn't spoil our meal at all we just decided to have the coffee and desert at home in a bit more peace :-) We live nearby and having passed by many times we always thought how nice it looked from the outside so we had wanted to visit for a while. I am so glad we finally did and we all said how lovely it was inside and that we would definitely return based on this visit. Delicious food, average prices, lovely, friendly staff and a cosy welcoming atmosphere, what more could you ask for. Thank you to the guy who looked after us so well, he was very pleasant and made us feel very welcome.”

“Great food, buzzy atmosphere, very convenient as everyone in the group can easily choose what cuisine they fancy. The inside can get a little noisy especially at busy times like Friday evenings, but the outdoor yard is also lovely and they have heaters. Can definitely recommend sitting outside if you prefer it a little quieter.”

“By far the best cafe in the area! Every time I come to Bear I never want to leave. Can’t quite put my finger why I love it so much. Is it the ambiance, the acoustics, the decor, the view, the amazing coffee (which takes me back to living in Melbourne, renowned for amazing coffee shops!), the fabulous food or the friendly warm and welcoming staff? Whatever it is, it ticks all my boxes, please keep it up!”

“A great pub with lovely staff and a friendly local atmosphere. Nice dining area with space for a large group of people, as well as pub seating opposite the bar. Nice size beer garden and car park on the site. Very close proximity to the railway station. The Real Ale Train event was on the day that we stopped for food so the menu was restricted to burger / hotdog, chips etc. It was still great food. The burger itself was massive! A real hearty portion. I couldn't finish my chips and was offered a tray to take the rest home. We will definitely return when we are in the area.”

“I take my Granddaughter every Xmas for a hot chocolate and cake. Our favourite thing to do. Xmas isn’t Xmas for us without a Moshi. Never tastes the same any other times. Our special occasion. Staff are very friendly and polite and welcoming. Absolutely fabulous.”

“I really like this place even though I don't get to go here often. It's brilliant as someone who doesn't really find time to cook can still get meat and vegetables rather than fries and greasy burger. The food is cooked really well which is really important for this type of food and there are plenty of options for customising your meal. I just hope there are more of this type of fast food opening up in other places.”

“We stopped in for Sunday lunch today. Don’t be fooled, the place looks unassuming but it packs a punch! We had the pork belly, the beef and the kids had pizza. Utterly delicious. First off you can order yorkies as a side AND a pot of gravy. I am always wanting more of both. Secondly the meat was cooked perfectly there was a great selection of veggies and the roast pots were yum. The portions were just right as well and we were able to sit for a moment and relax whilst the kids went into the playground. The staff were also brilliant, so friendly and helpful. “Very good and fresh cooked food. You will always have part of a warm welcome. Staff is very amiable and they always try to offer you the best service and help you choose the best dishes for your taste. Is the second time when I was there and definitely not the last. It is not a big restaurant but they act like one. I recommend you to go and try there delicious Turkish food and I'm sure if it's the first time for you, it won't be the last. “Had the set meal for two and there was plenty for both of us. Friendly and attentive staff. We took our time and ended up staying 40 minutes past the nominal closing time but did not feel pressured by the staff to leave. Recommended.”
