“The crown is under new management. They are working really hard to bring it back to its former glory. All the staff are lovely and the hotel has become a very nice place to stay. It's the perfect location for visiting the town with its many independent cafes and shops.”

“The food at Alton Towers isn't always that great, especially since they gave the contract to Aramark. To be fair on The Burger Kitchen, they probably offer one if the 'least worst' options on site. The food was hot, didn't take too long to prepare and at least it was edible. Very overpriced but applying the passholder discount makes you feel less violated.”

“The food was very good quality and there was a big variety. It was always kept well stocked and fresh. The staff are very friendly and helpful. Nice to have a refillable drink with the meal. Kids get a free refillable drink. The prices are quite high but so are all the prices within the park. They offer allergy books for anyone with allergies. They also offer to cook some vegan and vegetarian options. No booking needed for dinner.”

“We chose here due to staying at the Alton Towers Hotel, and was worried after some of the reviews, but we honestly had the most delicious food, and our waitress, Amy, was very welcoming and attentive. Our children enjoyed their meals, which is great, as they can be fussy. Highly recommend the lemon and herb chicken - so tasty and so much chicken! My husband had the burger and he really enjoyed it (he mentioned the apple-smoked cheese and said they'd done well with the flavour). Lovely decor in there, and views of the lake (and colourful lights on the lake when dark).”
