“The Potter's club How can you review it? I first visited in the late 1960s and have been going to the Potter's club ever since. I think it is wonderful that in the heart of Stoke-on-Trent we have this jewel in our cities faded crown. Most people don't know that it exists, but in my opinion when you go up in the lift and discover the Lost world , a world where royalty were welcomed . A place which one would only expect to find in London but it is opposite Stoke station. Absolutely fantastic!. Long may last!”

“It's been years since I had something from Pap's, I forgot how good their food is. I had a large lamb kebab - I hoped it would be what I know as lamb shish & it is - lovely, tender, perfectly-cooked pieces of beautifully-marinated lamb, not spicy, but full of flavour, perfect for my taste. I'll get a small next time, because the large has stuffed me! Gorgeous garlic naan to wrap it up in, with some curly fries on the side & I was pleased my salad items were wrapped separately. I won't leave it so long next time; really good food, arrived in less than 50 minutes, piping-hot, delivered by a friendly & polite driver. Thank you, to all at Pap's - keep up the great work :0)”

“From my perspective, it's really , really good, love the extra coriander on the pizza, listened to what I wanted, and they delivered, this pizza is amazing, thank you guys. And just watch them grease drip traps, and don't let the driver walk in again!!! Otherwise a great pizza, and ask for it to be finished with fresh coriander, it's a taste sensation!!!!!”

“A great pub with lovely staff and a friendly local atmosphere. Nice dining area with space for a large group of people, as well as pub seating opposite the bar. Nice size beer garden and car park on the site. Very close proximity to the railway station. The Real Ale Train event was on the day that we stopped for food so the menu was restricted to burger / hotdog, chips etc. It was still great food. The burger itself was massive! A real hearty portion. I couldn't finish my chips and was offered a tray to take the rest home. We will definitely return when we are in the area.”

“The value, flavour, portion sizes, taste...how do you feed a family of 4 for less than £30...this place is deffo worth a visit if you are in town. It's clean, and comfortable and if you have a buggy be mindful that the larger seating area is downstairs.Cash only so maybe one thing they could improve on but worth the trip to cash point for what you get.”

“I came back to Stoke after a year away, ended up heading down after a recommendation from some friends, the landlady straightaway made me feel welcome and added to the great atmosphere overall. Good prices on drinks, has great entertainment nights like Karaoke etc and overall, just a great place to go to relax and hang out with friends. Highly recommended, it is my new go to local now I am back in Stoke.”

“Looking for a pre show meal? You could do no better than eat here. The service was polite, attentive but never intrusive. The atmosphere was warm and inviting and the food was incredible. Cooked fresh to order and beautifully presented. Loved the theatre too of being able to see the pizza oven in action. Probably the best dining experience we have enjoyed for a long time.”

“Where do we start? Thank you, thankyou Zoe and the team for hosting our daughters wedding 27.6.25. Nothing was too much trouble.. everyone was so friendly, the pub was decorated to perfection in a relaxed country floral theme. The flowers decorating the venue were stunning. The food was plentiful, utterly delicious and presented beautifully. There were so many little personal touches that completed the day .The dj kept everyone on the dance floor and again nothing was too much trouble. The Windmill is a real gem..thankyou xx”

“Went today 1/10/25 for carvery lunch. Not been the Plough for a couple of years. The bar staff friendly. The carvery selection was excellent and nice and hot. Also I noticed the server of carvery was checking the meats with a thermometer and writing it down. The waitress Emma was very friendly. We will recommend the Plough and most certainly be returning again.”

“Thank you for a great New Year’s Eve! Absolutely a faultless meal, service and great atmosphere. The food was just a yummy experience from start to finish with big portions. They fit us in last minute due to us being let down in another place, and we were very welcomed. It was our first time and we didn’t know what to expect, however we will definitely be back for other occasions. Prices very good too, a vast selection of drinks and cocktails, plenty of parking, and cozy seats, with fire lit.”

“Visited for lunch on a Thursday afternoon. The menu is diverse and the food is excellent. Service was mixed - one of the waitresses was good but the other wasn’t great (ignored us at the bar etc). But overall a good experience and we’d definitely return!”

“We had Sunday lunch today for 7 people. Everyone had a different Sunday Roast that was on offer. All were very nicely presented on hot plates. I had the pork belly that was very tender & tasty. Some of us had turkey that was very moist & plentiful. The beef was very nice & was cooked to your liking, the lamb was tender. The selection of vegetables hot & nicely cooked We also had some extras, pigs in blankets, red cabbage & cauliflower cheese all really nice. The service was very good, friendly & helpful. Was a very relaxing afternoon with friend's. Would highly recommend the Peacock for a lovely meal in nice relaxing surroundings. Will be going back for sure. Thank you for your service & a lovely time.”

“The place is nicely decorated, food was cooked to perfection and the signature milkshakes were yummy, would reccomend! Ordered peanut butter jelly signature milkshake with added flake & the caramel brownie one too also with a flake. The peanut one was nicer. Also ordered the breakfast king - states on the menu includes black pudding but I didn't find any in it. However, that's not a complaint as I didn't want it anyway.”

“We were seated in 1 of the Pullman Carriages, nice and warm on a cold damp day. Seen too nice and politely.Had the specials menu, 2 courses for £13 or 3 courses for £17. Food was served quickly and hot.”

“I organised a baby shower at Granville’s for my sister-in-law and it was perfect. The staff were so accommodating, allowing us to come early to set up the room, help tidy up and even cut/share the cake. The girl who served us was super friendly, helpful and couldn’t do enough for us. If you’re planning a special occasion or event, Granville’s is the place for it. I 100% recommend it to anyone. We all also had afternoon teas which were delicious and very well presented. Again, they were so accommodating, especially for those people in our group who were vegetarian and needed gluten free options. Thank you for making it a day my sister-in-law can remember forever!”

“As Weary Travellers staying in Leek (At The Green Man) for 1 Night after a long Day at Alton Towers with a Hungry 5 year old in tow, not knowing anywhere to eat, l ended up searching for a nearby takeaway, and using Google maps & Turkish Delights popped up followed their reviews & my Nose & can honestly say this place lives up to the reviews, the food was cooked fresh, substantial & importantly reasonable having been fleeced by Merlin Entertainment All Day Long was very welcome to my wallet. We ordered Pizzas which were delicious & with friendly Staff! Well done guys keep it up! If we ever return to Leek again next time I would like to try the Burgers & Kebabs! Simon from Brighton”

“We booked the function room upstairs for a hen party and it was perfect! The perfect size for what we needed and the staff were so helpful. We booked grazing boards for the event with the chef and they were absolutely brilliant. Couldn't recommend them more. The drinks from downstairs were delicious and well priced. Can't thank you all enough.”

“Really enjoyed our meal. I had chilli con carne and my husband had the pie which was steak, red wine and mushroom. Our desserts were cherry cheesecake and trifle. The meals were really tasty, service was good. Have been 3 times before and not had a bad meal or experience”
