The food quality was top-notch—fresh, flavorful, and served hot. You can tell they take pride in what they do. 5 Star for car parking. Best place in town away from crowds I highly recommend this place to anyone looking for great food and great service. I’ll definitely be coming back!”

“We come to this amazing pub quite often today was steak night 2 8oz rump steaks for £18.90 and it was really tasty and I love the Mac and cheese side dish. Naomi and the team are very friendly and attentive. Relaxed atmosphere and good quality food.”

“Came here to complete my work, The rose and crown is a Lovely place in keeping with the M & B brand this venue is impeccably clean and very comfortable. Simon and Hilary were on duty today and looked after us during our time in site... Both very welcoming As photos show this pub has great decor and many tables so can accommodate even the largest parties. Thanks to the staff for looking after us today... “This was absolutely fantastic experience from the minute you walk i n you are talked to and made to feel welcome. Food very lovely and fresh and they also do a black Country staple of fresh battered chips you must try. Prices are fantastic no toilets but a disabled access if needed a small car park outside you can eat in or take out brilliant fish and chips shop”

“There is always a very warm welcome when I go here. They don't do food but allowed us to go to chippy across road and bring food back in with us which we all appreciate when we go and see Karl Memphis there. Tina her staff and regulars make this pub I to wonder place to be at”

“Asked to stay one Wednesday night in December in our motorhome and have a meal. The staff could not have been more helpful. On arrival they came out and gave us options on where to park. The Indian meal we ordered was one of the best we have ever had. Really tasty, served promptly and on a piping hot plate to keep it warm. We sat by a roaring log fire which was regularly topped up so was toasty warm. Brand new electric charging points have been installed, huge car park - would definitely come again”

“Family meal with couples all travelling from different directions! Really impressed by the place - first impression was good as it felt warm and welcoming on arrival! The staff approached quickly and seated us at booked table. When everyone had arrived orders were given and drinks arrived promptly. We didn’t have to wait too long but weren’t in a rush as we caught up with news. The food was excellent, hot and tasty, staff couldn’t have been more helpful. Would definitely recommend!”

“First time visit and extremely happy with the service and quality of the food, the location is in such a peaceful area next to a beautiful lake very picturesque, see pictures, A meal for 3 with our 2 dogs who were also made welcome very welcome (most definitely animal lovers here) The food was so tasty, well cooked and fulfilled all of our requirements, One being vegan so very happy with the quality of the food, the presentation and the taste, Cooked to perfection she said, I had the Mexican flaming challenge and the burgers were so juicy not burnt as I've had elsewhere, well cooked and tasted beautiful so wished I'd taken a picture, the 3rd meal was also cooked perfect and no complaints at all, Very much value for money, The staff were very helpful, friendly and polite especially in times like these during the Pandemic, All professional we felt very safe, Would highly recommend a visit to this hidden gem, We most definitely will be returning, Thank you very much. 2nd Visit was even better Fantastic food yet again and such great value, I cant wait to visit again”

Their burgers are masterfully crafted—juicy, premium beef patties grilled to perfection, topped with fresh, crisp veggies and house-made sauces that elevate every bite. The truffle fries are addictive, crispy and aromatic, and the craft milkshakes are creamy dreams in a glass. Ambiance is cozy and modern.”

“Calif Bar is good. They have some quite delicious meals as shown on the menu uploaded. Had their Jollof rice and beef then their poundo yam and egusi soup and they both tasted really nice. The food quantity and quality are also quite alright.”

“The staff were very friendly and attentive. Tasty meal. It wasn't very hot but we didn't comment. We were not offered a gluten free bun with our burger and were just given the filling. They did have a gluten and dairy free dessert which was lovely. So often restaurants only offer ice cream or sorbet, so that was a treat.”

“Pretty standard Witherspoon, except for the beet garden and covered smoking area at the back, and some of the staff that are pretty amazing such as one of the managers that's been there 26 years and the 'Try our Lager' wee model ;) the locals are all pretty friendly and the place runs like a well oiled engine.”
