She made me feel so comfortable in the water and confident to do all of the different things with my baby in the pool. Le-Anne created such a fun environment especially with all of the different songs and provided us with a lot of knowledge to help our babies feel comfortable and confident in the water. Me and my baby loved the classes! Highly recommended!”

    Aqua Dog Hydrotherapy Ltd

    ★★★★★ 4.9 (63 Reviews) Top rated Open

“We took our elderly dog here in the last months of his life, the care attention and love he was shown was amazing. We learnt so much from the staff who took the time to explain the best treatment options to help keep George comfortable in his last months, the difference after treatment was unbelievable, just sorry we didn't research the benefits of hydrotherapy and take him sooner. Extremely knowledgeable, friendly and attentive staff, nothing was too much trouble and they genuinely cared for our boy.”

National Trust - Patterson's Spade Mill

    ★★★★★ 4.8 (81 Reviews) Top rated Open

“My husband, teen son and I did the interactive blacksmithing workshop this past Saturday and it was TERRIFIC! Michael and his assistant Garth first took us on a tour of this historical mill and showed us how spades are made. It was fascinating to see how the mill was built and how it's powered and it's awesome that the National Trust has ensured its continuity. Then they helped us make our own fire pokers using the forge. It was exciting, educational, and challenging but they made sure we did everything safely and our pokers came out excellent (well mostly). I think the only reason this experience isn't oversubscribed is that people don't know about it. Hopefully they'll be able to continue it as it's a great opportunity to do something unique and fascinating. Highly recommend.”

“As far as parks go Lurgan Park is among the United Kingdom's higher echelon. It really is rather special, certainly the best in Northern Ireland in my opinion and it's particularly well maintained too. Fantastic for families with young children, as aside from the picturesque setting, there is a children's playground. There's also a lake that is home to numerous wild birds including swans, geese and ducks. Squirrels can be spotted going about their business in and around the trees. Park is welcoming for those with dogs. Lovely place for a jog or just a leisurely walk. Easy to find as it's so close to Lurgan main Street.”

Inland country park walks, coastal path walk (Helen's bay to Bangor), grassy areas for games, the beach, a nice café, and the ice-cream van! “A very relaxed and enjoyable meander. For that little bit of fresh air, Cairn Wood was a great option today. Every dog walker we encountered was well mannered and in control of their dog; excellent to see that! We did notice a few dog land mines however; this was a well kept public walk for sure. Several options of which trail you might choose to follow, all marked up well at each junction. The coffee served at Batch (in the car park) served up a decent, and perfectly hot, cup of coffee! The tray bake options are all pretty decent!!”

“Fantastic walk up into hills above East Belfast. Great views across the city and a beautiful glen with waterfall and light dappling through deciduous trees. Even a 12 to 14 hundred year old hill fort at the top (not in great repair but still worth seeing). Be warned- the climb is steep including high steps. Also some steps and fences really need maintenance work done to them - stout shoes are essential if there's been any rain recently (ok all the time - this is Belfast!) and this isn't for anyone with limited mobility.”

“I took the train to Bangor and then walked from Bangor to Hollywood along the coastal path. Some sections of this path are paved, and some other sections remain as footpaths. The areas close to the Bangor and Hollywood are maintained as promenades. It’s a fairly easy walk with occasional slopes, but there are plenty of benches to sit and rest a little. The section from Bangor to Helen’s bay is busy, and the section from Helen’s bay is quiet until the Cultra area. It is a calm and peaceful walking path, with people walking dogs and jogging/exercising. It’s generally very quiet except for the noise of waves breaking. Salt air.”
