“I bought my mum here for her birthday, along with my sister and husband. We absolutely loved everything about the food. It was beautiful and SO flavourful. We had the 7 course tasting menu (and there was also 3 amuse bouche, a bread and 3 petit fours) and we were left full but not uncomfortably so, and definitely not hungry. The staff are very knowledgeable about the processes that go into the food and drink. They gave my mum a wee birthday card which was lovely. My husband and I recently ate at Gauthier Soho and we enjoyed the food at the atmosphere at Land much more. Highly recommend to vegans and omnis alike!”

“Took my partner here for dinner, when I say I can't recommend this place enough, I mean it! The food is incredible! Some of the best food I've had in a while. Literally bowl licking good! The owners are fabulous as well so full of life and personality! Really making you feel at home and well looked after whilst you're there. The venue is so unique and eclectic that no matter what, your visit will be an experience you won't forget!”

“Recently found this gem. I can’t believe I didn’t know about it until I went on my nieces Facebook as I don’t have FB. The malteser cheesecake and shortbread are amazing. I’ve been looking for cafes with homemade cakes and these truly are homemade, which is such a rarity! The staff also make the latte to preference such as decaf/ oat milk etc the indoor area is clean with tasteful decor. The outside seating is really lovely as it’s based in a pretty and peaceful location. There is a free car park that can be used. Owner is lovely and friendly. We felt very welcome. I was a bit worried as I’ve been to other places which are a bit hostile towards Muslims/ Asians but there was no need to be worried here. I haven’t tried the food yet but when I do I will edit my review . I’d love to see more cheesecake flavours as Gil is a great baker . I am a baker too and I have very high standards so that’s saying something . Im definitely not easily pleased when it comes to cakes. Overall really lovely cafe . I went to another cafe before I discovered Gils for homemade cakes and that was such a major disappointment in quality and taste and did not compare to Gils. Prices are really good for the cake considering it’s homemade and generous portions . Only wish I could visit more often but due to health problems I can’t but when I do it’s a lovely experience. “A big thank you to the Espresso Quarter barista for this recommendation. He confidently said, “if you like coffee, ONE1 is the best in Birmingham.” If you would have said that 10 years ago, it would be easy to believe. Given the where the coffee scene in Birmingham is now, there are too many good Independents to choose. For my personal taste, Espresso Quarter, located in the Jewellery Quarter, has the best tasting oat flat white in Birmingham. Still, if you want fabulous espresso (house blend or single origin) or filter, ONE1 is a great choice. The barista has high accolades, having worked at Birmingham’s best independents including Quarter Horse. He is passionate about well crafted coffee. What’s cool. Not only is the coffee great tasting, the latte art and coffee wares are of the highest order.”

“Been going to Nicks sandwich bar for years now, his foods great, and very reasonable prices, plus he's there 7 days a week, so if needed you can get a sandwich on a Sunday, which is good to know. And there's chairs and tables in gazebos to eat in.”

“Our first visit to this lovely gem, I’ve passed it many times and was actually born a short way down the Bearwood Road. A very warm welcome from the host who has a lovely sense of humour. The decor is very cozy and like sitting in their living room. The food is amazing, mainly Polish but other dishes too. We had the fish pate followed by Highlanders potato pancakes which was simply amazing, great flavours. Finished with choc cake with another twist. Lovely ambience with nice music. An all round authentic great experience, will definitely be back !!”

“Me and my colleagues went to this restaurant for dinner. In this restaurant we have to cook ourselves. I have ordered myself a steak and it was really good meat. My colleagues have offered prawns, sushi and more. The pictures are shown along with this review. The food has been well decorated and nicely mixed with spices. The raw food is being served so that the customer can prepare the food on their own taste and the level of cooking they prefer. Each table have an oven which allows you to cook your food. They do have a very good seating capacity in the restaurant. The restaurant is well decorated. I highly recommend this place.”
