“A hidden gem. Nestled away in Aston University Business School is the conference centres hotel and bar. The restaurant offers a selection of varying dishes - lunch comes in at a very reasonable price point for the quality of offering, and is the subject of this review. The restaurant is largely self serve for lunch, with table service for drinks and coffee. Starters are offered as a self select buffet - typically soup, salads and a few extras - ones I've enjoyed recently being pressed ham hock and mackerel pate. Two or three mains are served - I've seen meat, fish and vegetarian options. Food tends to be straightforward and satisfying. A small selection of desserts and cheese round of an enjoyable experience. I've brought a few people here recently and it has gone down well on each occasion.”

“Excellent service and staff. I contacted Shelter last week as we had a sofa and 2 chairs that we no longer needed. They arranged to come out and look at the sofa and providing it met the criteria (fire tags intact, clean, not ripped) they would take it on the day. A huge thank you to Shelter and Neil, Chris and Zoe who have just collected it. I would certainly donate again.”

“The best lounge at Birmingham Airport. From greeting to leaving the staff were attentive and friendly, clearing away plates and glasses quickly, and there was a good choice of food available. We were lucky to have breakfast and lunch so had a range of foods to try. We enjoyed every dish we had especially the cheese selection. A massive thank you to Keeley for making our stay enjoyable and relaxed.”

“Clark shoes (inside Next) Fantastic shop, great selection of quality mens shoes. The manager is a very knowledgable young man. Quick to understand a customers needs and wonderful knowledge of his stock and manufacturers availability. Very quickly selected over half a dozen possible shoes for my needs. As a disabled customer it was a great feeling to be listened to and understood. Pleased to recommend this shop for your custom. I'm sure that ladies and children shoes would attract the same attention to detail, but untested on this trip. Great shopping experience..”

“Top quality service and menu! The staff are always friendly and welcoming, the food is absolutely fantastic my go to being the grilled chicken and peri fries and Oreo milkshakes! Their extensive desserts menu means there’s always something for everyone! Couldn’t recommend this place enough! Special mention to dragon hut which is the Chinese menu they do amazing chicken balls and salt and pepper chips!”

“What can i say about our wedding here on 29th July 2022..wow ..amazing. magical..best day of our lives..we booked 2 years ago and due to covid it was pushed back..during this time the hotel had new management and we had seen a couple of negative comments so called and asked for a meeting..all our worries were talked through and we were put at ease..then we booked an appt to meet the new wedding planner pippa 2 weeks before the wedding and knew instantly that she was totally on the ball..she did not let us down her communication was fantastic and she did everything possible to make our day so special..we had no hiccups and everything ran like clockwork. The only slight niggle would be the queue for the bar but we did have a large wedding so maybe at the next large wedding another bar team member would help..but all in all our day was perfect and we wouldn't change a single minute of it. The team worked so hard and made our day special. Thank you to all the staff”

“Me and my family came here and it was great. Once we entered we sat and the waiter was so kind. We ordered and he communicated very well. Whilst waiting for our order to come out we saw a pair of people come in. One of them was gluten free and had an allergy he was very helpful and gave them an allergy book in case she needed it and he was patient with her when ordering. The service here is amazing. Unfortunately i didn't get his name. Then the starters came out quite fast and it was nice we got the mozzarella sticks and they were fresh and not too hot but had honey on them which put me off the taste a but. Then the food came out and overall it was a great experience and would definitely come again.”

“Very quiet, but that's England at the moment. Chicken tikka jalfrezi was great and washed down with a couple of Cobra...what more could you want! Lovely waiter as well, remembered me from my first visit. Back again today, Tuesday 5th September....had the chicken signature dish and the best chilli and coriander naan I think I have ever had! The place has plenty of capacity and Cobra on draft!”

“Great Service, Even for "Just Looking"! We visited our local(ish) DFS today and, although it was quite busy, the team still made time for us—even though we were "just looking". A manager greeted us initially, but once Michelle became available, she took over and we were in excellent hands. Michelle is amazing at what she does - she has a real eye for detail and design. Between her and my wife, they debated colours and styles while I sat back and watched the magic happen! In the end, we found a great 4-seater sofa, an armchair, and a pouffe. What started as a casual browse turned into us walking away with a finance deal (pay in 4 years) that probably costs me less per month than I usually spend on random stuff in Home Bargains! The only downside is that the finance site was down when we got home, which made things a bit stressful, but the in-store process itself was smooth and straightforward. Massive shoutout to Michelle—she really made the experience enjoyable and stress-free. Thanks again!”

“Now that I am needing to help my frail, ill father in law with his Jolliman orders; I have found the site easy to use and to order from. The clothes are great quality and it’s really helpful that they offer shorter leg lengths than found in high street shops and at a good price. Claire at customer service, went above and beyond to ensure that I was able to return items ordered for choice, then purchase replacement items. I am so thankful to her :) Real customer care in what is actually a very difficult time in my father in laws life . Thank you so much! Whether you go for their crispy fried chicken, juicy burgers, or peri peri meals, everything is cooked to perfection and served hot every time. The portions are generous, prices are fair, and the quality is consistently excellent. The staff are friendly, polite, and always go the extra mile to make sure you’re happy with your order. The service is quick, whether you’re dining in, collecting, or ordering for delivery. The place is kept clean and tidy, and the team always greet you with a smile — it really makes a difference! My personal favourites are the peri peri chicken wrap and loaded fries, but honestly, everything on the menu tastes great. You can tell they take pride in what they serve and care about their customers’ experience. Royal Chicken has become my go-to takeaway in Tipton for a reason — amazing food, great value, and friendly service every single time. Highly recommend it to anyone who loves quality fast food made with care!”

“Bought a Wowcher deal for a double divan base, mattress and headboard - including delivery - for £160. It was only after we redeemed the voucher and ordered the bed, did we then look at the reviews and begin regretting our choice. We received an email to say that the bed would be delivered 7 days earlier than expected (and only 5 days after the initial order). It arrived safely, nothing missing or broken. We put it up rather easily - the bedframe itself just clicks into place. My partner, furbubba and I have slept on it for the last 4 nights with no problems at all. Although it isn't the comfiest mattress in the world, 1) it'll do us for a good few months - we've had a great night's sleep, and 2) what do you really expect at a budget price? Just wanted to pop a good review on here as the overwhelming amount of negative ones had us panicking all the way to our delivery date. We had nothing to worry about at all.
