“Possibly the best curry I’ve ever eaten! As a Birmingham resident I have eaten and cooked from scratch a fair number of curries. We were invited to try this restaurant by my parents who live locally. I booked a table as there were 6 of us. I got a lovely confirmation email. It was welcoming and told me that the restaurant wasn’t licensed and inviting me to bring my own alcohol. My family do not need telling twice! We were welcomed like old friends into a lovely clean, modern restaurant, and the toilets were very good, too! We were given glasses suited to the drinks we had bought, flutes, pint glasses and highball. The menus were expansive and clear. We ordered and were served quickly. Everything was freshly cooked and hot(temperature). We were asked when we wanted our mains, so did we want to wait, and were served quickly when we said we were ready. My parents had the shared fish starter which looked and tasted, I’m told fantastic. I didn’t try it but they polished it off quickly! Everyone was super happy with their mains, rice and naans. I’m sorry I didn’t take pictures or take notice of what we all ordered. I will just have to return to do a better job! Seriously, the food was amazing and possibly the best curry I’ve ever eaten. Big claim but don’t take my word for it, please go and try it for yourself. I think you will be pleased.”

“Visited whilst in Birmingham for the Commonwealth Games. They have a lovely terrace which is a must on a sunny day. We sat just inside so had the best of both worlds. The food was delicious and well cooked. The service was impeccable and staff were fantastic. The chef's choice of cheeses were amazing. It was a lovely treat.”

“As soon as you step through the doors you feel like you’re visiting restaurant owner Negar in her home. Beautiful interior, relaxing music, attention to details and very very tasty food… Looking at the menu feels inappropriate… You just want to ask “What’s for dinner?” :) More than highly recommended… IT’S A MUST!!! Shared starter platter with traditional Persian dishes, Grilled Halloumi with Saffron rice, Rose tea and Saffron/Pistachio ice cream for dessert… And some original artwork…”

“The array of bread and pastries are great, with huge variety of both sweet and savoury options to have in or take away. Following suit, the menu is HUGE, especially for brunch, with lots of creative and unique options that you wouldn’t find elsewhere, mostly spins on brunch classics. We had the brisket benny, which was pretty nice. Pulled brisket and hollandaise sauce, with poached eggs and an English muffin. It was good, but didn’t quite live up to our excitement when we read it on the menu, falling a little flat. That being said, it was tasty and we will sure be back to try some other stuff as it all looked fab. I had a plain Crossiant, which unfortunately was verging on stale. Good flavour, but it was very hard and really wasn’t even close to my dreams of a flakey and light pastry. Oh well. The teas we had were very tasty, and the vibes in the place are pretty cool. There’s many rooms to choose from, so it does feel cosy and atmospheric. The staff were also nice, being pretty attentive and got the job done.”

“Had dinner here 2x last yr and again this yr and i absolutly love the food. Service is 10/10 food quality and taste 10/10 presentation 10/10. Unfortunatly i was so starved and greedy i forgot to take pics of the food. I will insert photos from last year that i forgot to submit my reveiw. I highly recommend. My favorite place to travel is Thailand and the food is so yum. Xo Will be back and also highly recommend .”

“Excellent evening after visiting a nearby attraction and staying in Tamworth. Well presented business, clean and tidy. Muhammed served us for the duration and was excellent from start to finish including going the extra mile for our young children. Food was excellent and served in a timely manner. Would recommend and visit again if we come to Tamworth.”

The complimentary bread and sauces were a delightful way to begin the meal—fresh, flavorful, and a great introduction to what was to come. The food platter was absolutely phenomenal, beautifully presented, and bursting with authentic Turkish flavours. To top it off, the complimentary Turkish delights were a sweet and thoughtful touch. “From the moment we walked into Nando’s Birmingham, the service was absolutely flawless. Every staff member greeted us with a smile and was ready to assist immediately. The tables were spotless, and the view added a lovely touch to the dining experience. The food was amazing—flavourful, tender, and cooked to perfection. The sides were just as impressive; we enjoyed the chips, rice, and salad. Clean cutlery and crockery were conveniently set up nearby, along with fully stocked sauces, vinegar, salad dressing, and olive oil, all neat and ready to use. Our meals were served with minimal wait, making the experience even better. We’ll definitely be visiting again!”

“The food in here is delicious! Cooked to order as I’ve ordered different curries on different occasions milder than on the menu and they’ve done this for me no problem. The service in terms of bringing food out is a bit slower but it’s to be expected to be when cooking such delicious food. Our 2 year old daughter enjoys the food in here too.”

“Went for early evening dinner with friends. It's a very small restaurant serving Italian food so would recommend making a reservation to be sure of a place. Good selection of menu choices at a reasonable price. There was also a set price menu of 4 courses for £16.99 which covered a starter, main course, dessert and a coffee. Portion sizes were good and the food was tasty. The wines are Italian and a little pricey but with the set meal, evens out at a good value evening. The staff are friendly and helpful. Will certainly return.”

“Restaurant is now called Amed. Went with family, food exceded expectations. Nice, clean restaurant with separate family side. Lovely staff. We tried many dishes: lamb quzi, dolma, sea bass, shawarma, chicken tikka, chicken shish, chicken wings, beans, okra rice and lots of salad. Favourite dish was the dolma. Beans are delicious too. Very generous portion sizes and fantastic value. Chicken wings and sea bass were a bit too lemony for our taste. 5/5.”

Brown taste amazing, fried chicken, oxtale and rice peace is cooked well with the right amount of coconut milk and peas... unlike these other places that call themselves restaurants! 10/10 I recommend 100% coming from a real Jamaican born and bred that knows her food!”

“The food is top notch, service is friendly and attentive. The lamb balti has plenty of nice big chunks of tender lamb. Be aware they garnish everything liberally with fresh coriander which isn't to everyone's taste so be sure to ask them not to if you don't like it.”

“This is the best bar and grill in Birmingham. Hemant and Lakshmi are amazing members of staff who are so wonderfully brilliant. Their service and attention to detail is always second to none and they make our dining experience such a pleasure when we are here. Chef Nandalal has curated a fantastic menu as well which must be mentioned! Can’t recommend Bacaba enough, it is honestly amazing!”

“I went into Maliks with a friend to check out the new breakfast menu, and I was very happy that I did. Shakshukka with home made paratha, and my friend had the curried chickpeas and potato which came with a lovely spicy pickle accompanyment, and a delightful sweet halva too. Both dishes were freshly made and were definitely worth the visit. Friendly staff, superb food. The staff are extremely helpful, and are pleased to help. Portion sizes are very good. The breakfast menu is worth the visit, so if you enjoy indian food and want to try something different, give Maliks a visit, however they also do an English breakfast too [please see picture attached for the menu]. Breakfast is served 8am - 11.30pm so this gives you plenty of time. Free car park just over the road makes visiting easy, cant praise this visit highly enough. Definitely on my regular breakfast place to eat. Not expensive either which is even better.”

“We booked in advance for a work staff dinner. I have to say the staff were absolutely lovely and charming. Drinks came first, the mocktails are to die for! Starters were so yummy and the mains did not disappoint. We even had dessert and I would give each course 10/10. The staff told us they don’t use any ready made, only fresh and from scratch food including even the spices/masalas. Very authentic food but with a very mild spice level so it can cater for everyone. I highly recommend you visit this establishment if you are in the area and fancy a “curry”.”
