“Best panto around !! My favourite theatre! Every seat has a great view, the sound is awesome. I've been to a few different shows now and have loved every one!”
“Always a wonderful venue to visit. Such lovely staff who are always willing to assist and go the extra mile for everyone. The venue has the most amazing shows. We've seen acts from tribute singers, top touring West End productions to even circus acts. Would be nice to reintroduce more ice-cream flavours and have coke, lemonade, fanta, etc, on tap rather than be given a pint tin of lemonade for a shandy but apart from that very minor niggle, I honestly can't fault this place. It's a great venue to have in a great location.”
“I like the Capitol. I find the atrium area attractive and welcoming, the seating in the theatre is comfortable and you can get some good value cinema tickets here. The bar area can get full if there's a full house in the theatre and sometimes the queues for the bar are too long. A nice alternative is to go upstairs to am additional seating area and balcony - there's an extra toilet up there too. Unfortunately no bar upstairs though. Overall, I always have a good experience here.”
“love it here! such a lovely place to be when you're queer- love the community vibe. had the best night on dyke night tonight. was very loud and overwhelming at points but can step outside when it gets too much.”
“Great facility, lots of space and possibly the largest passenger lift I have ever been in, clean and with many facilities. Although I will admit I didn't try the cafe”
“The backstage tour is interesting, eye-opening and contains a spiral staircase of impressive height. Enthusiastic people taking you round and a cup of tea to finish. Definitely worth adding to your agenda.”
“All new seating. Love the new vibe”
“What an absolutely amazing experience, Bell tent dreams exceeded my expectations. The Bell tent was beautifully decorated with the theme of colours I had asked for, all carefully chosen to make my dream a reality. Spacious yet cosy at the same time was perfect for our movie party night, all kitted out with all the gadgets you need. I will definitely be booking again! Great customer service and great communication.”
“My daughter has been attending the Young Actors Group for the last 4 years or so. In this time Aaron and his team have been amazing, and she has enjoyed every minute. The group activities, and projects (performance, creative and video) have increased her confidence and really allowed her imagination to shine. Highly recommended!”
“Wow what a fantastic evening, not only the great venue Whitstable Castle and the great acting, which had everybody in stitches, but the brilliant way they incorporated my marriage proposal into their act. Hooked on Morlington Murders.”
“A brilliant concert! Young people putting on a great evening's Jazz! Really good. A***”
“Absolutely love this company. I joined 2 years ago and within that time my confidence has been lifted so much. I hadn’t done much dance at all before I joined, but now I have improved. All the staff are lovely and push you to be your best whilst still having fun. I really enjoy the professionalism that we are given as it gives us better insight on what it’s actually like in the theatre industry. Definitely would recommend!”
“Great place for watching a bit of theatre or a decent tribute band. Good choice of drinks and a few snacks. Intimate setting but great fun.”
“Fantastic Panto Red Riding hood such fun ,many laughs, fantastic villagers loved it ! Great value for money shall definitely go again and again Highly recommend it!!”
“Warm, welcoming , very professional company delivering outstanding range of shows and plays”
“It's amazing and its lots of fun and I love the place and it's really interesting”
“The pantomime was brilliant. It was our first ever visit to a panto at White Rock and we weren't sure what to expect. However it had excellent scenery, script, costumes, dance routines and of course the lead characters. Couldn't fault it. We will definitely be going next year!”
“Just a great centre with so many opportunities for the local community to come together and attend classes or access resources that are just not available anywhere else. The cafe prices look very good too!”
“Spent a lovely weekend at Firle Camp. The tent pitches were lovely and spacious with lots of room between the tents. The view up to the downs was beautiful and it was lovely and quiet - despite being not far from the main road there was very little traffic noise - just pheasants, owls and the nearby church bells. Very restful, peaceful and a great 'back to basics' camp.”
“All three of my daughters and my husband have worked with this very inclusive company. My youngest daughter has been with PTC since they first started on a Saturday with very few students and still loves going every week. Everyone is given a equal chance to have a go at everything regardless of there ability. Very Highly recommended company.”
“Had lunch here with some friends. Large popular pub and not ruined by a makeover. The food was very good and reasonably priced. They have special offers depending on the day of the week. The Harvey's beer was in good condition. It was a Tuesday and fairly quiet. I understand it gets busy in the evenings and at weekends. There is a large outdoor seating area if you like that sort of thing. Will definitely go back when next in Lewes.”
“The Cinderella Pantomime was hilarious and we had an incredibly fun day out with my family. We loved every second. The Pavilion itself is spacious and lots of room for little ones.”
“West Street Loft is an arty, creative space, I liken it to a Moroccan riad with comfy cinema seats, where free films are shown weekly & gorgeous Mediterranean food is served. Also superb wooden floor for yoga, pilates & dance. Music events & Holistic therapies.....”
“Great venue, easy to find, comfortable seats, enjoyable and varied amateur dramatic productions.”
“As this has been renovated and the weekend weather was excellent, we decided to go for a breakfast. On a Saturday we arrived at approx. 09:30 and got a table in the sun. Selected from a wide range and catered for all tastes including my daughter who is vegan. Although busy, we did not have to wait long for the breakfasts and drinks to arrive. The service was genuinely friendly and the lady was professional and polite even though she was seemingly on her own and busy. The breakfast was more than enough to eat and everyone was full, with some leaving food as they could not eat it. I must say that the environment and quality of food was top notch and the sunny morning made us feel as if we were on holiday abroad with the sun glinting off of the pool and the landscaped gardens looking good. I cannot fault our visit and look forward to visiting again when we stay with our daughter in Saltdean.”
“Clean and tidy, greeted as I walked in, scanned my phone food was ready by the time I got to the counter. Comfy sofas and clean my kid loved SpongeBob”
“We were walking past this building and at first i thought it was an old casino because of the gaming machines. But when we wandered in, we were surprised and in awe at how beautifully restored this old opera house is. Take a closer look around, especially the upper level booths. It is very pretty. Better yet the drinks are cheap!!!!! Lots of older folks here drinking so you know this is the place to get a cold one. They had an enormous menu of EVERYTHING. Apologies I forgot to get pics of the menu but it was impressive. We only had a couple drinks here and we were enjoying the people watching. According to signage you can book reservations for dinner for two people max in one of the opera booths. Awesome.”

“Went to brighton academy Christmas show”
“We hired the Worthing Pavilion for our end of year concert. The staff were amazing, communication before the concert was great, on the day they were able to help us achieve our vision and were able to make changes to suit us at the last minute. Super helpful and a great memory for all the children involved.”
