“Fantastic service A1. Food excellent! An extraordinary place to dine! Prices are at a great value for money, exceeding expectations! Mauro’s service and attentions are unparalleled. Many thanks Mauro!!!! I can come here as many times as I can afford to return to UK. All my thumbs Up!!!!!!”
“Came here for brunch with the old man (future #1 best-selling author) to enjoy a nice meal. The food was quite splendid and tasty. Nice service and a wide range of items to choose from. Would recommend for an outing with a cosy atmosphere ☺️”
“Curtis always makes me feel welcome, Always goes out his way to help me out! His people skills are incredible. All the staff are excellent. My number one place to buy my plumbing materials.”
“I went for lunch here, found it by a quick google search: best fish and chips near me. Large portions which were freshly cooked and up to standard.. jacket potato looked abit black/brown inside and was hard.. still edible. Fish and chips were a delight to eat and we had it taken away. Service was incredible with one lady managing it by herself but she was very attentive. Would recommend as they have a very extensive menu which has something for everyone. Would visit again lovely spot x”
“Wonderful food in a traditional, French inspired restaurant. A superb menu of 3 excellent courses for £55, with lots of choice including a divine fillet steak! However it is the little treats, all included in the price, that make this restaurant stand out, and make the meal a special experience. Amuse bouche with drinks, and before the meal (a delicious crayfish mousse). Then a calvados granita before the main course and a chocolate coated Berry ice cream lollipop as a predessert. We had a super evening. This restaurant is a lovely place for a special meal, or a business meeting or a gathering of family and friends. We will be back! Thank you.”
“Loved it! Seeing the city from up there was amazing! I definitely want to come back on a clearer day and see more!”
“I enjoyed the meat platter with no meat a lot. My regards to the chefs, treated me like a god. Bit thick though.”
“An amazing meal after a long day of hiking! We were seated right away upstairs, our server was kind and welcoming, and the food arrived promptly. We shared the siu mai, chicken satay, lemongrass shrimp, and tom kha soup with mushrooms added. Each dish was more delicious than the last. So grateful to have stumbled upon this gem!”
“St George's proved to be a stunning venue with lovely acoustics and a really intimate vibe. The staff were so welcoming, friendly, and kind, and Laura especially did everything she could to get us feeling warm after queueing in the cold! I'd come to a gig here again in a heartbeat.”
“We called in for coffee as we were visiting a nearby property that a relative is buying. This is a large pub - plenty of different seating areas. Very friendly helpful staff behind the counter. I would guess that this is an independently owned pub - you don't get service like this in a chain! Very attractive "pub classic" menu. I can't wait for the purchase to go through so that we can all return here for a meal and some drinks. Community pubs like this are increasingly rare. The coffee was good and surprisingly cheap. Thank you!”
“A nice reasonably quiet pub which is dog friendly, great staff, very good prices and a warm welcome from all people in the put anytime day or night. Although they don't serve food here, you are always welcome to have a takeaway delivered to eat inside the pub!”
“Richard, great service. Very knowledgable and helpful but not pushy. Price was slighty more expensive than Curry's BUT they charge up £30 delivery and didn't stock the item, wear as QDA did, and I collected it the same day. Will definately use them again.”
“Amazing food (highly recommend the Italian toastie), amazing iced coffees and amazing cakes to top it all off. Great location in the heart of the lanes with a wonderful atmosphere, super quick friendly service, couldn’t recommend more”
“The Dining Room hosted our 'after ceremony' meal in June 2022 and did a fantastic job. The venue is perfect for an intimate meal with close family, bridesmaids and best men - just what we wanted. We dropped some of our themed decorations off the day before which were all laid out for us when we arrived. The food was delicious and so unique for our special day - they accommodated for all different tastes. They offered a wide selection of drinks and you can also bring your own drinks for a corkage fee which we utilised for the toast. The location was very convenient for us due to our ceremony taking place a few minutes drive away. Our guests loved the surprise of the 'signing chef' after the speeches - a great mix of songs! They even went the extra mile and recorded a video of the 'singing chef' for us to add to our wedding video as we had missed filming it due to enjoying ourselves too much! Very reasonable pricing for a special meal. We hope to come back to celebrate our anniversary here time and time again.”
“If you haven't visited here - then do! The jacket spuds, salads, amazing cakes are superbly tasty. We have visited quite a few times now and find it every time to be a relaxed and enjoyable experience, a great place to meet friends.”
“Fabulous safari park with a lot to see in a beautiful landscape. The rooms were amazing - our treehouse wasn't in a tree, but above the treeline with grand views over the park and the the landscape beyond, all the way to the sea. The steps are steep, but once you are up there the accommodation doesn't disappoint. The park itself has a lot to offer for all the family, with driven safari-style tours, self-drive golf buggies or walking. Staff is very friendly and helpful, and facilities of a high standard. The animals are impressive, and the conservation ethos and sheer space of the park sets it above normal zoo experiences. It's not cheap but still a great day out and highly recommended.”
“Fantastic place to visit as part of a weekend away at Port Lympne - with a wonderful variety of animals to look at and understand the work taken by the foundation. I would definitely recommend reading up on the history of the estate prior to visiting, as it made my experience far more engaging.”
“Very nice experience with good quality bikes. I got lost once or twice but it just made the adventure more rememberable. The bikes were very easy to work with and the gears changed with a click of a button. Very nice scenery 10/10 would recommend”
“I had an exciting night at Shocktober Fest — easily one of the best Halloween events I’ve attended, and I’ve travelled all over the world. The atmosphere was fantastic, the staff were great, and the food was excellent, which was a big bonus. The only downside was not managing to experience all of the scare attractions, but that just gives me a reason to return next year. Highly recommended!”
“This is a great little place for young children. There is lots of space and the educational talks in the animal enclosures were informative and friendly, so that even my 6yr old grandson could shout out a question. Only the gift shop and restaurant to spend money on, not rides and ice creams everywhere, which was a refreshing change and appreciated. They enjoyed the play area in the park but it was crowded.”
“Really great Christmas lights trail. Well thought out, didn't feel overly crowded. Tasty mulled wine and a lovely crumble at the end. Great for trip with slightly older kids (11/13 year old), maybe less good for younger children.”
“Fabulous locally sourced food and wine, great atmosphere and very friendly and attentive service”
“Superb park with equipment for all ages. There is also walks, an urban beach and row boat hire”
“Lovely place away from the crowds and wonderful south facing garden and considerate service. Great portions and presentation. Safe for young children to enjoy and relax with enough shade on hot days.”
“A brilliant independent local countryside pub that still has character, unlike a lot of the bigger brewery chain pubs. Comfortable seating and plenty of space alongside a clean and well maintained interior with the option to sit outside if the weather's good. We came as a table of 5 for dinner, and the service was quick and attentive. The portion sizes generous and value for money were good overall. The burgers and sticky toffee pudding were both brilliant, and there were good words spoken about the Liver and Bacon as well as the Irish coffees, too! Specials boards change regularly, and with drinks, mains, and desserts, we still spent just under £30 per person, including service charge. It's definitely worth checking out and supporting your local”
“We never get disappointed with this local museum. Kids love it! Great location as you have a playground and a nice family friendly caffe across the road. The collection here is very interesting and I’ve been coming here since I’ve moved to Brighton. There are chairs and tables, keep an eye for activities for the little ones. There’s place for buggies. Accessible toilet. It closes for lunch.”
“This was my first visit here (I had only had a brief look around on a few days earlier) and it was great. You can order very easily from the different kitchens using a QR code from your table and enjoy the sea views and music. My food from temaki (Japanese kitchen) was delicious and presented beautifully. Good prices for the quality. Lovely friendly staff.”
“Delizioso e autentico! The moment you step foot in Amalfi, you realise very quickly you’re in a proper Italian restaurant. The ingredients were of top quality. We were treated some pizza after the owners overheard us talking about the pizza oven, and I look forward to returning to sample more. Would recommend.”
“Love to visit this pub for a carvery when I come from Bournemouth. It never disappoints with the nicely cooked roast and al dente vegetables. Staff are lovely and can't do enough. Proper pub!”
“Excellent customer service. Staff is courteous, professional and attentive. Food is delicious, good quality of the meals, excellent presentation and perfectly cooked. Great Sunday roast in a lovely modern environment or in the spacious back garden”
