“A fantastic find very close to Bath centre but far away enough... I love this place, it had the local feel with a welcome that was unassuming. The beer we had was Stone Daisy, very tasty and well worth the £4.95 let’s face it it’s in the city so not bad! Food was very good and the price was very reasonable, surprisingly (and I compare pubs) fish and chips £16 in comparison to 18 - 20 so see the comparison. I had the Tagliatelle (chicken) fantastic and exactly what you would expect, the wifee, pie and raved about the mash , turns out it’s all home made so very happy £34 ish for food which we looked at the desert but will have to return. The important bits are Staff really friendly and on the ball. Dog friendly, perfect! Pub was spotless and looked great. On the whole I would recommend a fantastic find. Revisit last night, we all enjoyed the food and drinks, desert was the best thank you!”

“Been wanting to visit for ages but never seems to be open when I'm in the area. So really pleased to manage a visit this time. A very small NT property but so much character. Every room had a guide who was very knowledgeable and wasn't afraid to tell you all the history and answer questions. Garden's also small and not horticulturally of interest but climb up the terraces as high as you can and you can see for miles towards Bristol and the hills. You only need an hour or so to see everything but it's worth it. Only drawback is the noise from the M5 but there's othing you can do about that.”

“Visited this place a few times now, for brunch or dinner. Lovely cosy interior. Plenty of tables. The food is very good also, with lots of choice. The tapas boards are delicious and very good value for money. Staff have always been friendly and attentive also. They had live music in this restaurant recently also, with a singer on the upper floor. Good singer but perhaps didn't need the amplifier and microphone, at least not so loud, as it's not a huge venue. Made it difficult to have a conversation. Minor issue though as the food was still excellent and the atmosphere is generally good in this place. Definitely recommend it for those visiting Clevedon.”

“A beautiful spot for some tea and cake on the Kennet & Avon Canal. It's around a 30-minute stroll along the canal from Bradford-on-Avon, and it's well worth the effort for the cake! The cake selection is possibly one of the strongest line-ups I've ever set eyes on – and I could have had one of each. I settled for the Lotus Biscoff cake, which was delicious and surprisingly light. There's a lovely big garden to sit in during the summer, the perfect spot for when the sun is shining.”

“Excellent chinese food and by far the best I've had in the Chippenham/Melksham/Corsham area!! We ordered a takeaway to eat with the in-laws after our little ones went to bed and it did not disappoint. I was very impressed by the flavours of the hk style sweet & sour (having grown up in hk, this tasted just like the sweet&sour I'd get back home) and the pork fried rice. The crispy shredded beef was STILL crispy by the time we got home and ate it 20 mins later, the salt & pepper squid was also crispy and very tasty. We had half crispy duck with pancakes which was delicious, 2 different veggie dishes, lo mein noodles, spring rolls etc.. all in all about 10 dishes and came to just under £100 for 4 adults (averaging about £25 each). Which is very good considering the amount we ate! Everyone was full and there was even plenty leftover for lunch the next day. However I do feel like they could've thrown in some prawn crackers or something else for free given the size of the order. But then again maybe they don't do that because it's not your typical Chinese, it's better. Regardless, this is my new fave Chinese restaurant and will definitely be ordering from here again!”

“If you haven't already, you have to treat yourself to a meal at Roost Malmesbury! This was our first experience dining here, and it was sublime! The restaurant is beautiful, cosy, clean, and stylish. The food was honestly amazing! I had mussels as a starter, and the current special, a delicious SriLankan curry with prawns and chicken, cooked to perfection! The staff at The Roost are just the loveliest, and most warm and welcoming people! The young gentleman that looked after us for the evening was so polite, friendly, and hard working. Some people have said the restaurant is confused, or doesn't know what it's doing, but actually I love having a choice! It felt really refreshing to get rid of the rule book and just dive in! Perhaps some people need to open their minds a little and live! Let's keep using our wonderful local businesses!”

“I really like this coffee shop. There’s always a good vibe, not too busy, good service, good coffee, and just a nice place to sit and chill. The music is one of my favourite things here.. slow funky jazz type stuff. There’s comfortable seats at the back and tables designated for laptop/no laptop use.
