“Amazing setting, great hotel. The staff were warm and friendly. Lily on reception was welcoming and knowledgeable and made us feel at home. The supervisor Harriet was also great with giving a little bit of local information about Bristol to help our trip be even better. Tilly was also on hand on our last day to help us enjoy our stay! What a team, we will definitely come back and stat here again”
“I love this gym, it's Aircon is so good, it's a nice view out over parts of Bristol. It's usually quiet and the machines are nice and not all worn out and run down looking like they tend to get in your high street gyms. Everything is nicely spaced out and laid out. You just download the app and you get a QR code which you just scan to go through the barriers. After I purchased the membership they called me to check if I had any questions and the staff seem nice enough. I want it to be successful but I'm also loving how quiet it is.”
“Aquascape arranged for my pool cover to be renewed a year ago but, unfortunately there was a weakness in the material and it was torn during use. Aquascape quickly sourced a replacement and before I knew it, the cover was perfect again. They did the whole job without amy fuss or debate and iwere super efficient. I recommend them for great customer service.”
“Brilliant, my swimming pool is amazing!!”
“My grandson is taking swimming lessons here and they seem high quality. The building itself is excellent except for a tight squeeze down the sides of the pool. Nothing serious but there it is.”
“Love it here! Perfect for younger children and has multiple slides that they can go on.”
“Jack surveyed our pool and did a difficult repair in out of hours operation, all the team at Liberty Leisure are most thankful for the prompt response to the matter.”
“Chemical Knowledge is just amazing, Lewis helped me from start to finish. Thank You Lewis & Team. 5 Stars from me”
“Always great service and advice at Poolworld Corsham”
“The Old Swimming Pool – Eastville Park, Bristol The old swimming pool in Eastville Park, Bristol, was once a popular outdoor lido but has since fallen into disuse and remains an overgrown, forgotten site within the park. History & Use Built in the early 20th century, the pool was designed as a public outdoor swimming facility for Bristol residents. It became a popular summer destination, particularly in the mid-20th century, offering affordable recreation. Over time, maintenance costs, declining use, and the rise of indoor swimming pools led to its closure in the late 20th century. Current State The pool still exists, but it is now overgrown with vegetation and partially flooded. Some of the original structures can still be found, but they are deteriorating. The site is often explored by urban explorers and local historians who document lost spaces in Bristol. Future Plans? Over the years, there have been occasional discussions about restoring the pool or repurposing the area, but no solid plans have been implemented. Some local groups advocate for revitalizing the space, either as a swimming area again or as a natural wetland feature in the park.”
“I had 4?PT sessions with Jasper Badger at Nuffield and they were just brilliant. Really informative and gave me the confidence to use the gym. Would highly recommend Have also been to many classes with all the other instructors over the past few years at the gym and everyone is superb ! Love it.”
“This is a gym, not some fancy fitness club. There are plenty of heavy weights, benches, and a quite few machines. If you know what you’re doing, you’ll be absolutely fine.”
“The level of teaching is amazing, my 5yo son has gained so much more confidence since starting swimming lessons here. Tried lessons at another pool in the past and moved him due to poor teaching. The building looks very tired and could do with some real investment to tidy it up whilst keeping its historic charm.”
“We had a fantastic time this afternoon shooting. The leader was very good and helpful. We will be back to try again.”
“Well what can we say. Our third visit here now and what wonderful memories for all our family. Highly recommend . A very peaceful & spiritual place.”
“What an amazing stay. It was perfect for our Christmas getaway. The cottage was spacious and had everything we needed. All linen and towels were provided (even for the pool) The use of the heated pool was a huge bonus with the children, 2 communal hours usage and a timetabled private hour each day.. The use of the large games room with a pool table, table tennis, foozeball (and lots more) was great on the cold weather. There is also an outdoor play area. Lots of local walks, the scenery was beautiful The location is perfect for trips throughout Somerset, including Bath, Cheddar and Glastonbury. Esther and Tim are great, very friendly and always on hand. We highly recommend a stay at Moorleaze.”
“You need to book either a weekend or midweek break at Centre parcs, then this is free to use. There are flumes, rapids, hot tub's loads of other water fun entertainment for all ages.”
“Amazing and beautiful space. Well done to Kira, Jonathan and all the volunteers for bringing it back to life. Perfect birdsong and babbling river soundtrack. Looking forward to more visits and it becoming a Westbury landmark again.”
“I just wanted to thank the lake for providing a great venue for open water swimming, swim coaching, diving, and paddle boarding. The staff's consistent helpfulness and the inviting atmosphere, coupled with the recent enhancements to the lake, are particularly noteworthy. I eagerly anticipate future improvements and the upcoming launch of Bruce.”
“This is the best place for swimming in Somerset. Seems to attract the loveliest people, guaranteed calm and relaxation. Also has toilets, changing huts and steps into the river with a handrail and tonnes of parking.”
“We visited the WWT centre for a day out with the grandchildren. They absolutely loved the new welly world feature. And, of course, feeding the ducks and geese was a particular highlight. The day wore them both out beautifully, so we had no problem putting them to bed—which was the main point of our visit. So, thank you Slimbridge for providing excellent entertainment for the kids.”
“Fantastic park with a variety of things to do, playground, splash pad, skate park, row boats, walking paths, and plenty of grassy area to kick a ball around. Great place for a picnic and bonus: if you are short on time to prepare at home, Morrison's grocery is right across the street. There's also a cafe with drinks and a small selection of snacks inside the park. Only downside is there are only about 8-10 parking spots inside the park, but there's free street parking up the hill from the park, so it's not too difficult to get a spot. I arrived mid/late afternoon on a Wednesday.”
