“Best pub in Clevedon! Proper traditional pub just behind the sea front, great staff & dog friendly! A must visit”
“Had a fantastic intermediate surf lesson, special thanks to Jules who is both a brilliant coach and all-round inspiration!! Facilities are great and tons of equipment for rent. Very clean and fantastic friendly vibe. Bring your skateboard if you have one We returned a week later to spend some money in the cafe + surf shop but was told it was a £2 charge per person for the pleasure. We politely declined, but were disappointed to have to return home without a holiday memento”
“Amazing service from start to finish! We had the 'Swiftie' sleepover setup for 6 x 10 year olds and it exceeded our expectations by a mile. Attention to detail was second to none and Lisa was so accomodating to everything. Thanks again, would highly recommend!”

“Excellent staff. Very friendly, great atmosphere.”
“Great little club very much under used, also has very good snooker rooms, 3 tables”
“Attended a child's party with my 5 year old. The facilities are good, a large multipurpose hall and good changing facilities and small gym.”
“Took my daughter to the accessible swimming session, great staff, clean facilities, we will be back.”
“Monmouth Leisure Centre is a modern sports complex offering a wide range of facilities for active recreation. It caters to people of all ages and fitness levels. The centre features a spacious swimming pool, a gym equipped with modern machinery, and various sports halls for group activities such as yoga, pilates, aerobics, and more. The highlights of the centre include professional and friendly staff who are always ready to assist and answer questions. The equipment is in good condition, and the pool maintains a comfortable water temperature. Visitors also praise the cleanliness of the premises and the regular maintenance of the facilities. However, during peak hours, it can be crowded, especially in the pool, so it’s worth planning your visit in advance. Some people also mention that the membership prices might seem high, but the quality of services provided is well worth the cost. If you're looking for a place for regular workouts in Monmouth, Monmouth Leisure Centre is an excellent choice for maintaining an active and healthy lifestyle.”
“I’ve had lessons with 4 coaches recently and they’ve all been amazing. Super kind, helpful and bringing great energy. The lessons at the wave are the best way to progress in your surfing. Stringer, Sonny and Charlie during one lesson, helped my partner become confident enough to try the next step up. Ben was awesome on the advanced coaching. Helpful, considered, constructive advice that lead to me having the best session I’ve had.”
“Great open space for the kids to play, park and friendly staff”
“Extremely helpful and supportive staff. Particularly Liz and Nancy. Friendly and accommodating regarding swimming lessons for our son who uses BSL. Thank you”
“Great gym, inexpensive, free parking, clean with friendly staff.”
“A great leisure centre well-equipped”
“Quality service and reasonable price compared to other nearby sports facilities.”
“Wow, Fantastic range. Shop goes on forever. The younger staff extremely welcome and friendly puts the mature staff to shame. It could do with a small on site cafe. Oh the young chap (Joe) on the tills, Wow I would shop everyday if he was in. So sweet”
“The center has a lovely Gym and the facility looks serene and neat. A nice place for small meetings and in-house training. Good place”
“Great place for a dog walk. Be careful though as it's incredibly slippery and dangerous on some of the rocks covered with sea weed and moss. Nice little walk from one lighthouse to the other though and cafes/shops.”
“Outside and weather dependant but we had great conditions. It was popular and a real treat for my family. Glad we got the family ticket for £50 and then 1 more child plus booking fee. Some just paid on the day and queued. An hour is enough. There were enough skates for everyone. Good times and good vibes. Merry Christmas!”
“My Wife and I went on a Spa day to celebrate Valentines and had a Shea nourishing scrub and wrap. We thoroughly enjoyed it and the nature of the treatment was very relaxing and interesting. I particularly want to mention that Beth my therapist on the day did the best massage for me for as long as I can remember (I hope I remembered her name correctly..) Being a manual therapist, I can tell when I am being worked on by someone highly skilled and talented. Will come back again when we are around the area!”
“Staff and fab and the swimming pool is never super busy”
“I have been there a few times and it is such a vibe, definitely my fav place in Park Street Bristol. There are no cons in this place; good music, nice staff and amazing cocktails... If you want to party in Park Street, this is the place to be. And every Friday they play reggaeton, so if that is what you like, you MUST stop by there. Cheers”
“Huge usable hall with stage, one smaller space to the side which doubles as skittles, 2 bars and large car park, friendly staff.”
“Good clean gym. Classes run by excellent gym instructor's. Reception staff very friendly, cheerful and helpful”
“Enjoy the water exercising. Not usually my thing, but it's a good experience here.”
“I visited Cotswold Country Park and Beach with my mom, sister, and 2-year-old daughter, and we had a great time. We enjoyed the swan ride, played on the beach, and spent time in the swimming areas. We were able to set up a small tent and relax while taking in the beautiful views. We also had lunch at the café, which was convenient. Since it was a school day, the park was quiet with fewer people around, which made it even more enjoyable. Admission was also reasonably priced. Highly recommended for a peaceful family outing!!!”
“A large university sports complex with several football, rugby, cricket and hockey pitches. Some are on good quality astroturf and some on grass. There are indoor and outdoor tennis courts, an old and new clubhouse, multiple changing rooms and extensive parking. Used by several local sports clubs as well as the university so can be very busy especially on Saturday mornings.”
“Great place with hidden treasure - The Thournbury Clinic which has amazing, kind and knowledgeable therapists and they do such a good job to keep people in good form, ease the pain and relaxed. Highly recommend!”
“This is a review of the events space (marquee). We recently celebrated our wedding anniversary in the marquee at the Swan in Swineford, September 2024. It was a great event and everyone thoroughly enjoyed the evening. We had 53 guests for a three course sit down meal with welcome drinks prior to the meal, after which the tables were cleared for dancing and a DJ. We were able to discuss and tailor our menu to suit our guests and we received many compliments on the food, which was very tasty. Our family had early access to decorate the marquee with lights, table decorations and flowers which made the marquee look beautiful and created a lovely atmosphere. We were able to return the next morning to do the take-down, there was no pressure. The only strict requirements were that music had to stop by 11:00 pm (due to neighbours) and aim to have all people off site by 11:30 pm. Lee, the manager, was very approachable. He was happy to discuss our needs and was very flexible with the layout and the menu choice. We were allowed to provide our own drinks and pay corkage as well as making use of the outside pay-bar. Staff were very friendly and seemed invested in the success of the party which made it seem like a joint effort. The marquee itself is 9 meters square and has a good-sized graveled area to the side with benches which are for sole use of the function space. The marquee is set in a large garden with outside bar, children’s play area and a carpark. We would certainly recommend the swan for family and social functions. Big thanks to Lee and the whole team.”
