Bar pub in Cardiff

“Walked here for lunch from Parc Cefn Onn. Lovely pub, dog friendly, we hadn’t booked but there were tables outsides. We had sunday lunch including one veggie version which was delicious. The lemon tart for dessert with clotted cream was also delicious. Latte wasn’t great but wasn’t a deal breaker. Service was quick and friendly. Would definately return.”

“Staff were friendly I ordered on the app, my cup for the hot drinks arrived promptly which was really good meaning I had time to get a hot drink before my food arrived. The food was fresh and cooked well. I will definitely pop here again for breakfast.”

“Stone House is a modern restaurant with a relaxing atmosphere. The menu is good and good value. I had a t bone steak cooked perfectly with fries for less than £16. Service was excellent and the premises are definately worth a visit”

“Lovely lunch Saturday afternoon my 2 brothers had gammon, egg chips, i had southern fried chicken burger & chips, my mum had curry we all really enjoyed, we went back for Sunday lunch we all had turkey & we were not disappointed, huge portions excellent value lovely lady looked after us, will b back in December when visiting my brother”

“Had Stratopramen. A pint is £4.40. Bartender was really friendly, funny and experienced. Would definitely go again. There's a cool gong to denote last order. An actual gong. Good WiFi, plenty of tables and comfy seating. Great place to cosy up after a long day at work. Nice spacious open plan layout with a few pool tables.”

“My husband and my two sons took me to the Cwrt Rawlin in NantGarw for my birthday at the end of February. The meal was delicious and we all very much enjoyed our visit. “Well am always unsure of of trying new places but my boyfriend made me try a new place and OMG am so glad I did I was a bit confused when he text our order over but was very impressed with the funny responses we got back. Once the staff member arrived Scooby went mental as he was fussed and loved by her who then went above and beyond providing treats for Scooby then we managed to provide her a box for a hedgehog she has rescued on the way to us We then sat down to eat and OMG my only regret is I only ordered one burger not because of the size but because I wanted to enjoy it more later I was very impressed with the burger I took a bite then fort o hang on I better take a photo for review hahaha The dirty fries were sheared which was amazing we will definitely returning! “Fantastic!! Huge rooms, styled very elegantly with no uneseccary fussiness. The host was amazing. Great communication. Really reactive to any questions and requests and went above and beyond to accommodate us. The location is great. Really lovely area with plenty of nice coffee shops, pubs and places to eat. Directly opposite a beautiful park and easy walking distance to the Castle and the City Centre. Next trip to Cardiff we'll be booking here again.”

“I've ended several nights at Kapu and always had a good time, but my experience tonight really took it to another level when a friend had a medical emergency. The manager and staff were incredibly compassionate, checking in regularly and making sure we had everything we needed while being discreet and respectful. “I love this bar because it has karaoke every Saturday night from 7 pm to 11 pm. The DJ uses the Karafun system, and it makes us quickly sing our songs. I am definitely recommend this place for the good singers.”

“Had an amazing night in Kewi’s that took a turn for the worse when 3 of our coats got taken. The staff especially Chris (manager) and Mo (security) could not have been more helpful and lovely. Chris tracked down the thieves through the CCTV and found out they were in Pop World and went to retrieve them off them and returned them to us. We are so grateful for their effort and support throughout the night. Thank you we will definitely be back!”

“Had an issue with the Shipyard Ale. Quickly resolved by staff after Order was made through the [W] App. Then as 2 pints we were offered by staff were flat too, management also resolved this issue, with a replacement beer at no extra cost, meaning happy customers, who will defo return again, . “I've always had great food, drink and service here. Clean and tidy, with plenty of seating. A small number of parking spaces here too, usually quiet here.”

“Typical with Wetherpoons big that once was theater plenty of room to sit and enjoy a hour or two with cheaper drinks good variety of beers, ales from. Green king and Carlsberg and if feel Hungry there is plenty of food choices from the menu order at bar or on the wetherspoons app easy to find on top of Westgate street near the principality stadium so the Gatekeeper can be very busy on Rugby international and Wales football matches and concert at the principality stadium”

“Me and my missus went to the Bristol one and got served by Emma her service was great was very accommodating and friendly couldn’t ask for more tbh. Atmosphere was probably the thing that stood out the most it felt like some western in a desert. Pizza was decent and drink was great, and yea the people who worked here were full of character would def come back here. They really treat you good with the bottomless”

From the moment you walk through the doors, the warm welcome and consistently high standard of service set the tone for a great stay. A special mention has to go to Emma and Liz, who always go above and beyond to make guests feel valued. Their professionalism, friendliness, and genuine care make such a difference – nothing is ever too much trouble, and they are a real credit to the hotel. The bar and restaurant team also deserve huge praise. Service is always attentive and welcoming, and the food is excellent. Breakfast in particular is a highlight – a great choice, fresh, and always served with a smile, which makes starting the day that little bit better. It’s rare to find such consistency week after week, but this hotel delivers it every time. The staff really do make the difference here, and it’s the reason I keep coming back. “Mother’s Day lunch. The tables were dressed lovely with flowers, chocolates and a card for Mum I also had a glass of Prosecco. We then ordered the turkey lunch which was hot and served with extra pigs in blankets. The wait was not too long and the staff were all very friendly and helpful especially Liz at the bar, Leo who served us and Danny who took our booking.”

“Absolutely enjoyed this Beefeater. I was there a few days. Great atmosphere and restaurant is cut off from the bar area. I enjoyed Beef and ale pie one night and the next one a lasagne. Both nights we were served by a friendly server named Jenny. She was polite and friendly which made the experience a whole lot better. Thank you so much, we will be back!”

“TGIs is hands down the best bottomless brunch in newport! I absolutely LOVE their June Buy and purple rain. I'm a wheelchair user, and they always accommodate me and take us to a table where I can just wheel up and stay in my chair. The customer's service is also really good, and Isabelle Amelia is so polite to bless her. Happy staff is a credit to the place and the management x”
