“Took my Nan for a birthday meal here, which unfortunately had a lot of no shows. The staff were so lovely and kind, they really turned the day around for her and went above and beyond. I'm extremely grateful to all working yesterday. The Sunday lunch was fantastic, I'd come back for the roast potatoes alone. Food was quick to be served and a lovely atmosphere as always. Couldn't have asked for a better experience. Thank you all!”

The young people inside this real ale pub were loud, but all in hood fun Music not to my taste /I'm and I visited old foagie like/ This pub served 3 great real ales picture posted on pubs website. I was very impressed by this pubs beers And atmosphere. This is a place I am very impressed with. “An absolute gem in Cathays and Cardiff! Great venue, amazing vibe and good price value. Our absolute favourite. The venue is clean and smells amazing, the toilets are in pristine condition. Absolute delight spending time at the Royal George - it never disappoints. Earlier this evening we spent time at the Juno lounge which had balls of fur and dust floating around on the stairs, next to nothing service, mediocre food and overpriced drinks so we moved to the Royal George. This place never disappoints! Also a very nice outside area!”

“The Heath Pub is an old-fashioned pub in the cathays area in Cardiff. It’s a classic pub with daily activities. Ambience: The pub is located by the road on a good spot beyond the crwys road, not very far from the University Hospital of Wales. The pub itself is a huge one - divided into 3 areas including an outdoor beer garden. One area is dedicated for the daily events and the other one for gaming and stuffs. The pub has an old- fashioned classic outlook, with classy wooden furniture and a fireplace. It also has a bunch of TVs installed at every corner where they screen sports every time something is on. Activities - - Sundays - Sunday roast for lunch, Dan’s Big Quiz at nights every week (hosted by Dan at 8:30 PM onwards every Sunday is probably one of the best pub quizzes in town, with price money at stake for the winners) - Open mic nights on Tuesdays - Karaoke on Wednesday nights - Games night on Thursdays Live music on Fridays & Saturdays They host these events amazingly well every week, and there are regular patrons who religiously attend them every week. Food: Heath Pub offers a good selection of alcohol, cocktails, craft beer including the Brains - bitter and gold. They also serve food and snacks. Service: The bartenders and friendly and fun, and service has always been quick in serving. They also love to chat with the customers and make the atmosphere look friendly. Have rarely seen it being crowded except during the events at nights. Would recommend attending the events there.”

“This is is a very friendly pub, the staff will always make you feel welcome and do what they can to make your night better. The beer selection is good and it also tastes very good, you won't find as much choice in the other pubs. On the weekends they have various entertainment from acoustic to bands and everyone taps there feet. There have also recently started doing cocktails and I have tried a few and they are tops. If your passing make the effort you won't be disappointed.”

“Amazing meal and fantastic service! We visited for a birthday meal with our dog after being recommended the Three Horseshoes by our AirBnB hosts and a local family friend. We were a little nervous after seeing some of the recent reviews but our experience could not have been more positive. Excellent menu, delicious food, lovely atmosphere and friendly staff. “We were a table of 4 for Sunday lunch. We arrived early and were nicely invited to have a drink at the bar while we waited. When we were taken to the table by the host Chris, he introduced our sever as Mitch who was really personable and positive. It is unusual to have professional and enthusiastic service at restaurants nowadays, so Mitch was a refreshing change! The chefs serving the carvery were great as well, the food of exceptionally high quality with vegetables not being stewed or cooked to death, but actually fresh and inviting. If you like a carvery, this is superb and at less than £20 per head is great value.”
