“This place in Cowdenbeath is amazing for younger children. Well managed with superb amenities. Play is based around a street on a square with lots of different shops, disco, musical instruments, and dress up. Children can also use the various ride on cars, etc, dotted around the street. Imagination can run wild. All of our grandchildren love the vets. Cannot recommend this play area highly enough.”
“Its great place to visit beside all the great health benefits classes. Their new cafe done up has great choice food and drinks. Nice to visit to meet friends and even take family for breakfast and lunch.”
“Nice polite staff and a lively building. We attended a social dance which was enjoyable and the group were lovely and welcoming and didn't mention how terrible my dancing was.”
“We booked for Tuesday but meant to book Wednesday and didn't realise this until we turned up on Wednesday. Staff initially said there was no space as they were fully booked but after a rethink they were able to fit us in despite us being on the wrong day. Excellent service and saved a very expensive disappointing mistake since our parents were up visiting. Drinks were good too and it was a nice unique experience to be able to mix your own ingredients yourself rather than being served it. We also added a round of bubblers and shots to the end of our booking which I felt were reasonably priced for what we got. We didn't have food but someone else had a afternoon tea on another table which looked nice.”
“Great tennis facilities and clay courts in a picturesque setting. The only downside was the lack of catering. There is an excellent chinese restaurant nearby- the Imperial Palace, and the Waitrose in Morningside is excellent and has a Sushi Day counter”
“Popped in recently, Staff were very friendly! They helped me with everything. Flemings is a true hidden gem if you want Well priced Furniture, Ornaments and Misc Decorations. Would recommend a visit, they have a coffee shop which is great too.”
“Great place for sports. It has many rooms where there is a variety of martial arts and dances and activities for kids. There is also a cafe and fresh water in a fountain. There are toilets and changing rooms that are decently clean. This is a social space promoting sports and cultural variety. I am very thankful for this club to exist!”
“We love it here as a family. Our favourite softplay to go with our 2 year old. Me and my daughter go most Saturday mornings and have such amazing fun. Everything that is there for the kids is great, soft play, role play, kitchen etc, the food is amazing and the staff are very friendly and welcoming! Even on a warm sunny day there is nothing better than a morning at Wee Kingdom!”
“Absolutely loved the escape room experience at the Department of Magic. Our game host was super lovely and the room itself just magical. Harry Potter fans be aware of your childhood dreams being full filled. We made it with 11 minutes to spare and the time just flew. Can't wait to be back to try the other of the two rooms available.”
“Watched 10 Story’s High here during the Fringe. Seemed like a good venue, very busy during the festival!”
“Really helpful staff and beautiful facilities.”
“Amazing staff, always very helpful. Affordable food and great tray bakes!”
“I would highly recommend this nursery. My little boy started at Little Learners at a very unusal time in his little life(during lockdown). as a first time mum I was so nervous about leaving him with other people however I need not have been. The team at this nursery are amazing, giving me regular updates throughout the day on his wellbeing and how he was settling in. Even the transitions from one room to another as he is getting older have gone so smooth. My little one loves coming here to see the staff and his friends. Honestly dont hesitate to check Little Learners out, was the best decision I made.”
“Our son has been going to St Margarets for over 2 years now and he absolutely loves it. The rooms are beautiful and they have lots of space to play outside. The many is varied and if my son does not like the food that day, they always provide lots of healthy alternatives. The staff has always been thoughtful and helpful.”
“We cannot recommend Links Nursery highly enough! From the moment our daughter joined, we felt an incredible sense of care, professionalism, and warmth from the entire team. We have been especially lucky to have Carol, Aimee, Nicola, Shona, Leigh, and all the staff looking after her—they have been truly wonderful. Before coming to Links, we had a difficult experience with a childminder in Musselburgh, which left us questioning if something was wrong with our daughter. However, from day one, it was clear that she was in the right place. The staff have been incredibly patient, supportive, and attentive, always keeping us updated and ensuring she felt happy and safe. We have had no issues at all—only a fantastic experience—and it is heartbreaking to leave as we are moving. We are so grateful for everything they have done for our daughter and our family. If you are looking for a nursery where your child will thrive, feel safe, and be cared for by the most amazing team, Links is the place to go. Thank you all so much!”
“Nice place but awkward parking at night due to long wheelbase white vans”
“A very pleasant gym. The machines are kept very clean and the staff is very nice. Even though it's not a big gym, it has everything you need. Also in a fantastic location!”
“This is the main JOJO Maman Bebe store in Edinburgh. They always have everything in stock when I visit. The staff are really friendly and my young boy loves dropping by.”
“Lovely staff lovely food and not expensive at all”
“It is a great place for kids, spacious and has good reach considering transportation.”
“We stayed here in July and had a gorgeous room overlooking the pocket park and garden across the street. Parking was easy, there were 2 restaurants, and the bathtub was ample. All this would have led to a positive review but hotel staff went above and beyond. I left a valuable piece of jewelry behind and they shipped it overseas for me. Excellent service - highly recommend!”
“We had my sons 2nd birthday party here tonight. I initially emailed a few questions and got a prompt response. I ended up going into the soft play to book. Craig could sence that my sons dad didn’t want to be in a busy soft play during the party so he let us know as our numbers were close to 25 (we had 23 originally) if we added 2 more kids we could book 5.30pm -7.30pm exclusive use. Best thing we did. The party was brilliant all the kids had a ball and had the run of the whole soft play no worrying about older kids or trying to hurdle all the kids down to the party room. Everything was done upstairs.. plus the kids got extra time to play as they had food then right back into play. Eveything was provided but I had a Toy Story theme so I brought my own table clothes plates ect, the staff were so helpfull in lifting cake boxes and party boxes upstairs for us. They offered to set up the tables for me as I had brought my own stuff but I wanted to do it myself alough they did help, they moved tables around for us to fit cake on a separate table too. The party food was chicken nuggets, pizza and chips. Tasted amazing! Free juice on the tables for kids too. The cafe was kept open and quite a lot of the parents had food and said it was lovley. Super clean soft play and super helpful friendly staff. We also got a free voucher for our next play as a thanks for having our party there. This was unexpected but a very appreciated gesture. Would highly recommend saltire soft play for a play date or a party.”
“Quick and easy entry with the prebooking. Parking was straightforward. Not heaving with people when we went, so there wasnt any jostling. Clean. Good value for money and straight forward snacky food upstairs. I recommend if you have some kiddos needing to blow off some physical steam!”
“Ella was absolutely incredible. What an experience to see an artist in such a private venue. Amazing! Staff were so friendly and the venue was gorgeous.”
“A thoroughly enjoyable course with wide forgiving fairways but the subtle sloping greens are what makes this course a challenge. The course was in excellent condition in August and the greens ran true. Beautiful views over the Firth of Forth to Cramond Island and beyond. Excellent value. Also enjoyed the café after the round. Excellent choice of hot and cold sandwiches and drinks with great views over the course and the Firth of Forth.”
“Absolutely love Flying Tiger, this branch inside Waverley Market, It’s one of those stores where you walk in needing nothing and come out with something. The layout is tidy, well stocked, and the staff are friendly and helpful. What I appreciate most is how organized everything is it’s easy to browse without feeling overwhelmed, and they’ve maintained the playful energy the brand is known for. It’s a great place to pick up cute gifts or practical items while exploring the city. Even though it’s in a busy location, the shopping experience felt calm and enjoyable. Highly recommend stopping by if you’re near Waverley Station or in the city centre, it’s such a fun and colorful little break in your day!”
“We stayed at Motel One Edinburgh-Royal in The One with View room, and it was absolutely perfect. The view was breathtaking — exactly what I had hoped for when planning our trip. After arriving from London, stepping into that room instantly washed away the fatigue and made me smile. The location couldn’t have been more convenient: just steps from Waverley Station, close to the airport bus stop, and within easy walking distance of the Royal Mile and other main attractions. Whether travelling by train, bus, or plane, this hotel is ideally situated — for us, having arrived by train and flying out later, it couldn’t have been more perfect. The hotel was stylish, peaceful, and comfortable, with everything we needed for a relaxing stay. The staff were genuinely kind and welcoming, and check-in was effortless after a long journey. As a non-native speaker, I wish I could’ve expressed my gratitude to them more fully in person — they truly made our stay wonderful. I’d love to return to the same room on my next visit to Edinburgh.”
“Ryze is less a trampoline park and more a glorious, modern-day gladiator arena for children. It’s a truly magical place where kids can run free and jump about like absolute idiots, and the staff are perfectly on hand to deal with the inevitable joint dislocations, so it's all good on that front. For the adults, the seating provided is truly a sight to behold. It’s beautiful, comfortable, and often comes with a complementary sheen of kid sweat and drool—a testament to how much fun the little ones are having. It's a fantastic place to spend a few hours, assuming you enjoy the sight of pure, unadulterated chaos. A great place overall!”
“Only open when shows are on... better if regular ticket office hours, say if open when bistro is open Great bar and seated area Good variety of artists, films and community shows Acoustics and staff are super”
“A very understanding and helpful manager who went above and beyond when he heard that I had driven 20 miles to get the items for an Edinburgh Fringe Show. Now I will go to Hobbycraft first when looking for anything arts and crafts.”
