“Entered the store and was met by Sam the cheery security guard, always makes sure I'm eating well, walked up the first Isle with him, as we got to the end we could see a wee auld lady waving frantically, Sam and I went over and she asked Sam to reach for the 1 litre bottle of milk she needed, unfortunately Sam, being just a little taller than the wee auld lady, couldn't reach it either, meanwhile, at the tills Diane noticed what was happening, tied more knots in her t-shirt (for aerodynamics) and sprinted up the freezer isle, with one stride she mounted the last freezer and flipped onto Sam's shoulders, Diane, balancing perfectly, urged Sam towards the fridge, Diane retrieved the carton and her graceful back flip dismount from Sam was something to behold, she presented the wee auld lady with her milk and walked proudly back to the tills while the whole store erupted in cheers, amazing.”

“I took my 88 year old mum for a bra fitting at the M&S store at the Gyle. The lady who helped her was called Margaret and she was absolutely wonderful with my mum. She spent over an hour and a half trying on different bras with a variety of attachments until the perfect one was found for her. My mum was absolutely delighted and I can't praise Margaret enough for having the patience and kindness to ensure that she felt and looked great when she left.”

“I live nearby and I often go here. The staff are all really friendly and warm and helpful. They often say 'hello' when I walk in. The selection of Asian goods is good and priced well. I often buy Chinese vegetables and noodles that you can't get at other places. The store also has kitchen and milk tea store. The food they sell ready to eat is what they call sticky rice and its cheap and tasty. The milk tea bar is also pretty good and has a wide selection of drinks to offer. The lady who makes the milk tea is also very warm and friendly. I enjoy the chance to ask her how her day is if she has time. Overall, it's been nice living near this store. I'll miss it when I move away from Edinburgh.”

“I’m not a huge fan of craighleith retail park - it’s a sadly depressing place and given it was built on one of the most important quarry’s - they completely overwrote its history. However, M&S is the shining light - everything is done well here from customer service to the cafe and the clothes store. I once witnessed a woman fall over faint in 2024 and the speed and kindness the staff treated her with deserves to be commended. My go-to in Edinburgh if taking the family for a cafe outing.”

“I went into the store after having lost some weight following an illness and needing new bras. I was at a total loss and everything I tried on seemed to be wrong in some way... step in Mercy! Despite having not booked a full bra fitting appointment Mercy could see I was lost and stepped in and patiently helped me find exactly the right shape and size, and then 3 different styles! I left so happy with my purchase and so grateful to Mercy for her time, care and attentiveness.”
