“Very kind lady in today who understood my situation and let me use the toilet- I DO NOT want to get her into trouble, I know it's a weird time, but she recognised it was urgent and no one else let me in anywhere else, which I think is awful as I am female (I don't need to explain I'm sure, when we need we need a restroom!). I left my bag outside the staff door etc. I don't want her to get in trouble at all, but she helped a client with a medical issue and I bought something to say thank you. I will recommend this store and Boots, and I would go back because of the staff kindness in this tough time. Thanks you for your help this week!”

“I've lived nearby the entire time this place has existed here, yet never once stepped inside for a meal until today. ...I regret my past self's ignorance. Myself and my parents, 3 very different meals but they nailed them. My burger tasted great, wasn't oversized and they knew how to make a good chip. The curry we asked for a little heat to it (as it was advertised as being mild) and it came out at the right spiciness, and the kare kare was quite light but great tasting as well. Desserts were pretty large, obviously homemade and delicious. Sit in prices were pretty cheap, the takeaway option looked like it would be even cheaper! I'd certainly label this somewhat of a hidden gem. I attach the photo of my dessert, the combination of my two favourite desserts, cookie dough and cheesecake. A thing of beauty, if not exceptionally sweet!”

“Didn't expect much as a chain at the front of a big shopping complex but was pleasant surprised at how fresh and well prepared my salmon poke bowl was. It was well dressed and loved that the dressing was on the side and I could control how much to put in. The miso soup was no frills but it was also well seasoned and didn't cheap out/hold back the miso like some places do. I went a little before midday and food took actual seconds as they're all premade. Great option for a convenient, fast and healthy meal !”

“I’ve been to many hotpot and BBQ buffet places in Edinburgh, but Lian Pu is the best so far. The service is great, and ordering is simple,, some BBQ items need to be ordered separately, but there’s no extra charge. The broths are delicious (I tried the Pork Tripe and Extra Hot & Spicy, and both were amazing). For BBQ, I recommend the Korean Style Beef. They also have beef and lamb thin slices, but unfortunately no pork slices(instead they have korean pork belly) . However the food and experience were fantastic and worth every penny!”
