“Surprisingly large room with plenty of space and amenities. Incredible value with faultless service from the host who was continually attentive to all of our needs. Free parking right outside and easy access to public transport into the centre. A comfortable and clean room in an establishment that I will 100% recommend to anyone travelling to Edinburgh.”

“Highlight of our Edinburgh trip! Tour guide Coco was engaging and knowledgeable, sampled lots of different chocolates and learnt about the history and the making process. Was really fun and also got to make our own chocolate bars to take home! Would recommend for anyone visiting Edinburgh.”

“We had an exceptional stay in Scotland thanks to Nicolas and Anastassia, who were able to listen to our wishes and prepare a tailor-made itinerary for us over 7 days. With our two children aged 8 and 5, we visited Loch Lomond, the Isle of Mull via the ferry to Oban, Fort William, Pitlochry, and Edinburgh. Always available and responsive, we communicated very easily in all circumstances. Their experience allowed us to discover splendid places and very pleasant addresses. “Excellent breakfast place! Cute and cozy decor. We tried filled croissants, porridge and this lovely pistachio cardamom cake. And also, probably the best coffee we had in the whole of Edinburgh!”

“Our stay at Ceilidh-Donia was wonderful! The staff were very kind and helpful, always ready to give advice and with a smile. Breakfast was delicious and varied, and the room was clean, tidy, and comfortable. The area is quiet and pleasant, perfect for relaxing after a day of sightseeing. There is a very good bus connection to the Royal Mile (about 15 minutes), and if you prefer walking, it’s around 30–40 minutes on foot. I highly recommend this place to anyone planning a stay in Edinburgh!”

“Really great service from Alice and Kevin. Our train up from London had been delayed massively due to issues which meant we arrived very late at night. They arranged to pick us up from the station. Really friendly and a good place to stay. Room was comfortable and breakfast delivered to the door.”

“We had a fantastic time ! Our bedroom was lovely and very comfy. The house is not in the city centre but there's a bus stop just outside the door. The breakfast buffet was amazing and the hostess super helpful. Definitely will stay there again!”

“Split level apartment relatively well equipped with breakfast hamper a nice touch! Our hob was broken so we had a portable one for the 9 days we stayed, a little inconvenient as it took up more space but still functional for making meals. Good wifi. Good water pressure and temp in shower. Bedrooms are small but functional. Note there are no windows to open for breeze. Was granted access to do laundry due to length of stay. Staff was very friendly and checked in daily if we needed anything. Location is perfect in the center of town, next door to the museum and across the street from The Cross and Palace. Would recommend and would stay again.”

“Absolutely loved my time here and only moved out so I could be close to work otherwise I would have definitely stayed longer! The team were really friendly and welcoming! And I really felt at home and well looked after. The building itself was really nice, and it was great having a gym. It was always easy to order food and deliveries straight to your door. The apartments were quite cozy inside, well done up and lots of storage space too, and I loved the little water of leith river runs that were on the doorstep! “Royal Mile is the most popular street and it can be too crowded because it’s cultural history. The architecture of the buildings from medieval era to current is significant to Edinburgh historical background. There’s tons of restaurants, stores and most of tourist attractions is along the Royal Mile including St Giles and the Royal Castle.”

“We had a wonderful tour with Highland Experience! Kenny was a fantastic tour guide in every way. A great mix of sightseeing, history, humor, and culture. Mr. Kirk quickly established the individual circumstances of folks in our group and customized the experience perfectly. We appreciated his extensive familiarity with the locations, including less traveled roads, amazing scenic stops, and every detail - right down to where the best toilets are! While driving, Kenny provided insight, stories, history, and local music that enhanced the drive and sights. Selecting the music was a particular skill - ranging from energetic at times to reverent as well experienced Culloden Battlefield. The local bookings were great - we felt lucky to have dinner and attend a Ceilidh! Kenny was fantastic! The tour bus was clean and comfortable! The weather was very nearly perfect (OK, Kenneth may not control that, but it was great). Highland Experience was a great choice.”

“A small museum serving as an interpretive centre for Roslin Glen. It provides context on the area's natural history, geology, and industrial past, particularly its historic gunpowder mills. The exhibits enhance understanding before exploring the adjacent woodland paths and sites like Rosslyn Chapel.”

“Beautiful park, great for kids and adults, bring some nuts as the resident squirrels eat them right out of your hand, The parking is free, disabled parking is next to the bandstand, drive through the first parking lot and follow the road through, You could also park in the main street and get access to the front entry of the park, just be mindful of any parking fees or time limits, it is easier to park in the parks, parking lot, There is an old church with an old cemetery, look up to the big square tower of the church and see king Bruce, carved at the top, im not entirely sure but there is a connection to robert the Bruce, from the cemetery the views are absolutely stunning u can see the 3 bridges over the firth of forth Next to this church is the ruins of dunfermline abbey its stunning i prefer ruins, it is free to visit both the church and abbey but for the Abbey they said u had to go online and book your ticket and show the arcade to the staff member You don't need to go into the Abbey grounds to appreciate it, u can look down on it from the cemetery, dogs are allowed into the Abbey but not the church, it is worth going into the church its beautiful beyond words inside A wander around to the glasshouse its full of exotic plants from around the world there is also formal gardens right next to the glasshouse, a bit further up the path heading towards the peacock cafe is a sunken Japanese garden it sadly is a bit over grown and the pagoda thing is falling to bits, its still worth going down there though, Near the cafe, which seemed popular on the day I visited, you will find the peacocks wandering around freely, so its best to keep your dog on a lead in this area, from the cafe its only a short walk back to your car, Overall this park is a must visit especially if you are a history enthusiast, all around the park is hidden remnants of historical buildings My only problem with this park is the chronic lack of signs telling you where to find certain areas, so its just a matter of wandering around until you stumble along something historical There are some pretty steep hills and steep paths made of rocks, but most of the main paths are in good condition but not really suitable for someone in a wheelchair There is an old train engine that kids can climb on, as well as a few large kids play parks There is loads of benches or grassy bits to stop and have a picnic, just keep an eye out for rogue squirrels they really aren't afraid of humans The park is big, around 75 acres if I remember but u can do a short or long walk depending on your fitness Stepping into this park feels like u have stepped back in time, u can feel and imagine how it was like back then, take your time and enjoy the atmosphere of this park xx”

“This charming and comfortable restaurant inside the Scotch Whisky Experience is a wonderful place. Staff are friendly and welcoming, and service throughout our dinner was exceptional. Both my husband and I got a 2-course meal. We started with the sea trout, which was very fresh and perfectly cooked. It was served with a potato cake, and fresh peas with fennel and a lovely white sauce. The dish was beautifully composed and presented. My husband had a 15-year-old whiskey, while I had lovely craft whiskey cocktail. For dessert, I had the chocolate whiskey tart and my husband had the sticky toffee pudding. Both were excellent. A perfect dining experience.”

Had the 2 course lunch menu, excellent pate served with quality toasted bread and breadcrumbed veal with a spinach and cream sauce, followed by tiramisu from the a la carte menu which was incredibly good. Great service from "Meemo " the lone waiter.”

“Best dude ever Joey is an absolute character, his amazing creations adorn the walls of his studio/shop. It's like entering a museum! He creates whacky clothes and sofas and bags with recycled materials and bits and bobs you wouldn't expect! What's created is a unique and unusual item that no one will ever have. Huge hidden gem in Edinburgh Even visiting the shop is a must see”

“Watched AC/DC here August 21st, what a great music venue this is, whilst it's great for rugby it's nice to see the stadium being used for music as well. No issues getting in and out, all the staff we spoke to were pleasant and helpful.”

“Plenty too do my girl loved it no bad price too get in good variety of animals too see only thing a felt was it was waste of££ for train ride as we only seen couple of horses and sum sheep couple of ducks another down side was the wasps that was going about still five star for me”

“We had an amazing stay at The Knight Residence by Mansley. The rooms are quiet and rather well-maintained, and the apartment was spacious enough for a family of four. The apartment comes with a washing machine, which is ideal for those who wish to stay longer here. Although it’s a bit warm at night due to the recent heat wave, the helpful staff supplied us with an electric fan to cool the apartment down.”

“We had a lovely 3-night stay at Sonder Royal Garden. Smooth check in, great location, and very happy with our “superior two bedroom” room — it was clean and well-stocked. As mentioned in some of the reviews, the hotel does not have AC; however, the windows open and the hotel provided a box fan for each bedroom (which effectively cooled our rooms down and served as a sound machine for the street outside). Excellent hotel for independent/self-sufficient travelers.”
