“Well I arrived at the store in Coatbridge,to collect a PlayStation 5 ,5 went to checkout desk asked by a lady called Stacey what I was in for told to collect parcel, so showed her the order ,n asked for the digits off the card I use couldn't remember ,3rd card was correct by this time shes getting frustrated, so she got order still hasn't engaged n asked how's ur day going, still hadn't smiled sat the goods on counter, n I asked for were phone cases were,she pointed behind me n just kept pointing,so went over couldn't find the size n 1 there to help. A member of staff was sitting talking to 2 customers so I stood, till he eventually said can I help told him what it was, said he'd get a member of staff. So I waited no1 came. So went bk to check out n my items were right at end of till. N I had asked her to keep them till I came bk I couldn't hold them. So asked for a bag,she looked nodded her head served a other man. I had to wait till she was finished ,walked up n put a bag on counter n walked away, ive bought all my electric stuff from currys. But that sort of customer service is unacceptable, I suffer from anxiety depression PTSD, used to work in retail for over 32yrs n never seen anything like it, n the last item before that was my Dyson that I left in currys in Hamilton last yr still under warranty, stood on a phone for over 2 hrs to Dyson shop closed, never heard a other word bk still waiting only paid £280, the yr before, so no after that I won't be bk ill just be paying for the insurance ive took out on everything.”

“I purchased a USB Dock to go with my new computer on Click and Collect and went down to pick it up excited to pick it up and set everything up. Unfortunately, when I turned up I was told I had mistakenly ordered it to the Fort store. At the end of a stressful day of work that was all I needed. However, what did brighten my day was the lady behind the counter named Jen. She without missing a beat tried to see if they had it in stock for me to buy at that time and failing that she offered to set me up with a new collection for tomorrow after work in the stockwell street store. She even offered to cancel the Fort's order and arrange the refund for me. She wasn't over the top or pushy, just anticipated every need I had before I even thought to ask. Extremely happy with her service and it really did help cushion the blow of my own stupidity.”

“People think that Brighthouse is a place to avoid because they think the prices are too high but I use my local store when I need something that I can't afford to buy out right and if you look at it in a logical way it's like having a big catalogue what you can walk in too. There isn't many people who can buy something with ready cash but doing it the Brighthouse way you will get what you want when you need it and spread the cost of it over so many weeks. Just like you do with a littlewoods or graten catalogue. I find the staff in Brighthouse in Hamilton very helpful and they always work with you to get you a decent deal on the things what you want and they help you with the financial side of things. So people go speak to Mark, Andrew, Paula and see how they could help you get the things you need. They don't bite if that's what is worrying you they make you feel most welcome. I have never had any problems with the team in Brighthouse in Hamilton. They are worth more than a 5 star rating.”

“Nomination for Outstanding Service – a special member of staff , MD, ASDA Hamilton I would like to nominate Marry D for exceptional customer service following my visit to ASDA Hamilton on Friday evening, 28th November. During my visit, I had already spoken with a couple of team members and through no fault of their own, I still hadn’t been able to find the specialist products I needed and that i didn't even know that i needed. I was just about ready to leave the store thinking the trip might have been pointless. Then I met Marry. Marry immediately stopped what she was doing and gave me her full, undivided attention. Her excellent product knowledge, understanding of product placement and her natural desire to help customers meant she knew exactly what I was looking for and where to find it. Thanks entirely to her, I left the store with everything I needed, something that simply wouldn’t have happened without her assistance. Marry is a special person and a genuinely valuable member of staff. Her warm, professional manner and dedication turned my whole experience around. I also spoke with Martin, one of the on-duty managers, who was equally fantastic. Martin saw exactly where i was coming from and he had an Immediate appreciation for Mary's customer service contribution. I hope this nomination contributes towards any in-house ASDA recognition or rewards for outstanding service, because Marry absolutely deserves it. “Currys is a very good company with friendly and supportive staff, and overall they provide a great service. However, the payment and finance process for purchasing items could be improved. Mobile phone companies have a much smoother and more efficient credit-check and payment system, which allows many customers to get approved easily. Currys’ current system feels a bit difficult and less flexible in comparison. If Currys can update and improve their payment/credit approval process, it will make things much easier for customers and greatly increase the value of the service they already provide.”

“I bought a new Apple Ipad yesterday and paid for all my information to be transferred over. When I got home I noticed that none of my outlook /mailbox info had transferred. I returned to the East Kilbride store and a lovely young girl called Katie spent a long time trying to transfer the data. Thankfully with a lot of patience and persistence, she managed to do it. I cant thank her enough. She was brilliant.”

“Visited this Tesco superstore and had a generally pleasant experience—except for one slightly unsettling detail. There was this granny who seemed to be following me around the store like some kind of produce-obsessed shadow. Every aisle I turned into, there she was—staring at the same apples I needed, inspecting the same carrots, and somehow bumping into me at every turn. It felt like I was in an unspoken race for the last bag of potatoes, and she was clearly winning. I tried to speed up, but she was always a step ahead, as if she had some sort of mystical connection to the store layout. Maybe she was just really into her shopping, or maybe she was secretly hunting me down for my top-quality tomatoes—who knows? Apart from my granny stalker, the rest of the store was a dream. The staff were incredibly helpful and friendly, offering assistance without me even having to ask. The aisles were well-stocked, the shelves neatly arranged, and the checkout process was quick and smooth. Despite the odd encounter, I left with everything I needed—and a few extra glances to make sure the granny wasn’t secretly following me to the parking lot. Would I return? Absolutely. The service was great, and I got everything on my list. But I’ll be keeping an eye on that mysterious granny next time—just in case she’s planning to shadow me again in the dairy section.”
