Park in Glasgow

“Great country park plenty of miles of paths taking you off in all directions we usually start up at top and work our way around. Garden centre, cafe’s, coffee shops, play-parks, toilet facilities, picnic benches, plenty of car parking.. even an observatory and much more. Miles of paths taking off in every direction over fields, through woodlands and across marshland. The Castle ruins are a must see whilst visiting too. The park is different depending on the season you come. Different wildlife and vegetation bursting into life.”

“Awesome park in the west end of Glasgow with great facilities and restaurants nearby. Playground for kids, skating rink and small football ground makes it a fun place for everyone. A popular and beautiful Hindu Mandir is close by and attracts lot of visitors from the Indian community.”

“Most beautiful park ive been in. Vast area. In August the floral displays were outstanding (Well done West Dunbartonshire Council). Playpark area. Nice walk too along shoreline, with benches. Nice wide pathways for cycling No litter lying about.”

“Went to Halfords to look for a bike for one of my sons. Was helped by a very helpful chap named Brian. After asking us some questions, we settled on a Carrera Crossfire 2. Brian was quite happy to explain the differences between the 3 models. At no point did we feel under any pressure from Brian to make a choice or to hurry up. He was more than happy to answer all our questions. It was a delight being served by Brian. We came back two months later and bought another bike for one of my other sons. I expect to go back and purchase another bike for my daughter soon. Can't thank Brian enough for his assistance and his knowledge is excellent, as is his attitude to customer service. Thank you Brian. Fantastic !!!”

“Great day had by the family at the science centre! Lots of interactive activities to get brains of all ages ticking. Lots of areas in different STEM topics, all of which we enjoyed! On top of the entry tickets, we also booked tickets for the kids planetarium show which came at a small additional charge, but would recommend as it was brilliant.”

Junior is clearly very good at his job—professional, friendly, and always ready to help. He made the whole experience smooth and convenient from start to finish. “The teachers are all native speakers and are very good teachers. They make the classes interesting. There are some courses which are not just language courses, for example one which I did about France's overseas territories - very interesting but also very good for my language skills.”

“Initially had a bad experience here with an emergency prescription but since then have never had any issues. The pharmacist has been helpful when I've asked questions. You no longer have to wait outside unless there's already a queue in the shop (it's a small chemist, so indoor space is limited)”

“I recently visited Pollok Park with my family, and we had an absolutely fantastic time. The park is beautifully maintained and offers a perfect mix of natural beauty, open spaces, and interesting views. Children play area was really nice and had lots to do. The kids loved seeing the Highland cattle and exploring the woodland areas. A great spot for a picnic, family walk or just some quiet time away from the city. Highly recommended.”

“Lovely place to go for a walk. Nice car park with plenty of spaces. Good signage of the different pathways you can take including horse trail and nature trail. Has toilet facilities and a big play park for kids. There were a good few benches dotted about on the pathway I chose to venture on which was nice to sit and enjoy the flowing water beside the pathway.”

“Lovely peaceful place for a walk or cycle. The paths are well maintained and easy to follow, with great views across the water and surrounding woodland. Plenty of wildlife around – swans, ducks and lots of birds. Good for a family stroll, dog walk, or just some quiet time in nature. Picnic spots available too. A real hidden gem in Clackmannanshire.”

“Beautiful escape from the city! Easily accessible by car with numerous parking spaces, some small, some larger. Gorgeous views of Paisley, Glasgow, and the mountains. The terrain is not challenging and is suitable for young children. Most of the areas are not wheelchair accessible but the view point has a parking lot, so it's a very good spot for people who would struggle walking long distances.”
