“Hidden gem close to home! Lovely walks down by the river. Great for walking dogs off leash. However, there is an open field where there can be cows, so make sure your dog is on the lead for this part just incase.”

“My favourite local park, always enjoy a saunter around with my dog meeting other dogs and their owners. Cafe has lovely coffee too.”

“Great place for a walk and picnic. Stunning views of loch lomond. Grounds are spotlessand well maintained. The castle is closed to the public but if you have an interest in history or just like to visit beautiful buildings then its worth a visit if in the area. Public toilets are in the castle. If you walk down the hill towards the pier there is a kiosk if you want to grab an ice cream.”

“Great place to take the dogs for a run around - particularly if they have limited recall or are reactive with other dogs. Plenty of space, high fences, sheltered area and picnic table as well as water facilities, bins and spare poo bags if required. Our dogs love it! It is worth noting, the car park is pretty bad for pot holes, but this is (I believe?) a council car park and outside the control of off the lead, just a bit of an FYI for anyone planning a visit, but certainly accessible enough and right next to the entrance for 2 of the fields which is really convenient!”

“Beautiful and rugged. I cycled from Wemyss Bay along the aqueduct, a tough ride on my bike but it would make a great walk too. Be prepared for the weather though.”

“Huge Park, great for taking the dog, going for a walk or having a jog. Beautiful views right next to the water and often see cruise ships and other boats sailing on the river.”

“Lovely place to visit for the whole family. Very much enjoyed a walk along the pond and river, seen deers and a nice castle, also enjoyed playground and all for free. Definitely worth coming back once in the area again.”

“Quick delivery, all food was excellent - the buffalo chicken pizza was a real favourite of mine. Stood the test of a pizza-obsessed 8 year old; we will be ordering again! PS great to see Pietro's (rightly famous) locally produced Italian sausage on the pizzas!”

“Great pub near the park for watching sport. Plenty of screens and they put on commentary which can sometimes be quite hard to find. Drinks are reasonably priced too. Also, on a warm day it's nice to sit out in the beer garden area but there aren't many tables.”

“GREAT SELECTION, GREAT STAFF This place has never let me down in terms of service or price. I was in yesterday for some sealant and, due to the current national pothole problem we are experiencing, jokingly enquired if they had any pothole filler. Have to say I was quite amazed to be shown several different types of it! I was also told that it was very popular item with customers. ( Maybe the local council could get their trade card!).”

“Had the pleasure to stay at Premier Inn peel park, Clean and cozy rooms ,service was exquisite .The receptionist was really polite and friendly checked us in very fast and easy.”

“I wish I could add more stars because this is honestly the best place I've ever stayed on Glasgow. My room did upgraded to the family suite even though it was just myself but the room was practically big enough to live in and be comfortable. Breakfast was also the best breakfast I've had in my entire life. 10/10 Definitely recommend to friends and family.”

“This hotel is attached to the train station and centrally located in downtown Glasgow. It is a very elegant hotel with all the expected amenities. Breakfast buffet was well stocked and delicious with attentive wait staff. Location is great for restaurants, stores, etc and walking around was easy. Highly recommended.”

“The best Travelodge I’ve stayed in. Recent refurb makes it feel brand new (though a bit more obvious they haven’t replaced the carpets). Is still a travelodge but a very good one. You’ve probably got to drive if you want a selection of food places or shops”

“Perfect spot for the Royal Concert Hall, Sauchiehall St, Buchanan St, Queen St Station Immaculate rooms, with plenty of extra pillows & duvets. Lots of sockets, charging points. Hand/shower gel provided. Kettle & tea/coffee/milk in the room. And a full length window letting in natural light. The breakfast was lovely, plenty of offer. Highly recommend.”

“Perfect place which was close to the job we had. Everything we needed was there and the apartment is close to a range of different shopping options. The rooms are spacious and the beds are plenty big enough. The living room was great with a balcony and the seating is plenty. 10/10 would definitely recommend and stay again”

“This was a trip to see the Christmas Markets in Glasgow and Edinburgh to include my wife, myself and our dog. We were all made most welcome. The duty staff were very helpful and answered our varied questions politely and if they didn't know the answer they found out for us. The room was super and the breakfast very good for the price. The hotel was superbly situated for the Christmas activities and the station for our trip to Edinburgh. I suspect that parking could be a problem but we have a blue badge which meant we could park outside for as long as we were there.”

“This park is great! It has something for everyone and is big enough that even when it's busy, everyone still has space. The park is clean and has a nice pond too. There's toilets, a cafe and a carpark on site.”
