βExcellent food, quick and polite service. The 2 meals for one is brilliant and they donβt get shy on the portion size. Definitely go again.β
βThe Ivy on Buchanan Street is an absolute showstopper! The moment you step inside, you're transported to a world of glamour and sophistication. The decor is simply stunningβvibrant, art-deco inspired, and filled with beautiful details that make every corner feel special. It's the perfect setting for a celebratory meal or just a luxurious treat. The food is equally impressive, with a menu that offers a fantastic blend of classic dishes and modern twists. Every plate is beautifully presented and bursting with flavor. The service is top-notch; the staff are incredibly welcoming, attentive, and make you feel truly valued. From the creative cocktails to the delicious desserts, The Ivy provides a fantastic dining experience that is well worth it. It's an unforgettable spot in the heart of Glasgow's Style Mile.β
βHad a brilliant 3 course lunch for 2 people and two drinks for just Β£20. The food is really good, the soup was perfect, the macaroni and chips and peas were brilliant and ice cream to top it off for only Β£7 is incredible. Would recommend if in glasgow.β
βFamily visit 5 adults starters and mains with drinks and coffee to finish nice friendly staff and service a lovely dining experience and interior decor.β
βLiterally one of my favorite meals ever, let alone of a month in Scotland. World-beating hummus, fantastic sambousek, the βSpicy Saladβ one of the best salads Iβve ever tasted. Fantastic mixed grill (the chicken wings and lamb chop particular standouts but everything good), big portions, all terrific. Finished with a knafeh that was delicate and absolutely delicious. Incredibly friendly, super-casual service. Expect to have to flag somebody down, and pay at the counter. A true highlight and absolutely a must-try in Glasgow.β
βWhat a wonderful surprise in the heart of Merchant City! I'm a huge fan of Turkiye and Turkish food, and stepping into this place is just like being transported abroad in the best way. The service is characteristically warm and friendly in that way that all Turkish people are, the food is exceptional, the complimentary bread is delicious, and the portions are huge. Delighted - I'll be back!β
βWas looking for a nice restaurant for my mums birthday and we stumbled upon this place. The service was amazing, the staff even helped us with a tiramisu and candle to celebrate. The charcuterie was to die for and the food we had was delicious. You can tell they use fresh produce and know how to treat it well. If youβre looking for a nice dinner or even a cocktail and nibbles I would highly recommend.β
βI've stayed in Glasgow for a few days. I discovered this restaurant on my first night. Loved it, so I went every night after. Food it's amazing and service too. I will come back 100% when I'm back in Glasgow.β
βWe had such a feast in Mother India! We order so many things so these are my highlights: Delhi Style Lamb (flavorful and meat cooked to perfection), Vegetarian Thali with Dahl, fried aubergines, and the garlic naan. This is also such a cool location: lit by candles and designer furniture. Will try it out again next time I'm in Glasgowβ
βCompared to another Thai restaurant located on a main road in the city center, this restaurant's location isn't quite as ideal. Nonetheless, after a recommendation from a friend, I decided to pay a visit. In my personal opinion, this is, without a doubt, the best Thai restaurant in Glasgow. The prices are reasonable, and the food is exceptionally delicious. While I cannot say for sure if the restaurant has tailored its offerings to suit local preferences, I can say that as someone who loves Thai cuisine, I thoroughly enjoyed every aspect of my experience at this restaurant.β
βA lovely, dog friendly restaurant with a varied menu to suit many tastes. The house wine was lovely as were the meals. We dined very early, so it was fairly quiet and we were lucky to get so much attention from the staff .... especially our dog who was made a real fuss of. The food was well cooked and just what we expected with good portions. My wife's vegetarian meal looked wonderful and she said it tasted really good. We would certainly go there again.β
βI personally love the place. Good atmosphere and people who go there are pleasant. Food quality is pretty good, especially for Glasgow standards. Only downside for me is a few members of the staff who I donβt find fitting. But overall I am satisfied with my visits all the time. Do not recommend beef tartare, itβs lacking in flavor and serving. Love vote for quick lunch.β
βPasha Glasgow is honestly a gem! The food was excellent from start to finish. The kebabs were on point β fresh, juicy, and packed with flavour. The highlight for me was their lamb kabsa. It was cooked perfectly, tender and full of rich, aromatic spices. It also comes with a soup on the side which was amazing and paired so well with the dish. Great service and good atmosphere too. Definitely one of the better spots in Glasgow for quality Middle Eastern food.β
βGreat venue, staff are really friendly and attentive asking if we needed any help ordering or anything else. Drinks are the usual BrewDog drinks so great quality and a good price. Really fun atmosphere and great place to chill outβ
βWhat we tried was delicious. One of the best burgers we've ever had. The place was nice and well-kept. The staff was very friendly and made you feel at home.β
βGreat for big groups or intimate dining. Extensive menu for all tastes as well as vegan veggie gluten free. Staff extremely efficient. Orders spot on and attentive to empty glasses and water jugs. There was a birthday party and a baby shower but discrete areas prevented disruption to private dining. Great private parking. Give registration to restaurant on arrivalβ
βHad the most wonderful meal here last weekend. Food was beautiful. The service was amazing. Owner and all the staff took their time to attend to us, even though the restaurant was busy. The nicest meal I've had in a long time and can't wait to come back! We ordered loads off the menu rather then a set meal and was so pleasantly surprised by the price!! Picture of mains (was too eager to get one of the starters)β
βWe got married here last Saturday and what a day it was. From start to finish the team at this hotel have been super attentive and helpful. A massive thanks to Sarah-Jayne and Louize for being with us every step of the wedding planning process. The general manager Adrian (AKA Hype Boss) is a credit to this venue! He was on the ball, super organised and able to make our wedding run the way we had dreamed it. Scott the guests have not stopped talking about how amazing the meal was. Thank you to all the staff at the Eglinton Arms hotel.β
βHad a fantastic stay here! - Check in was really easy even when we were hit with a slight issue. It was sorted swiftly and easily with plenty of help! - All the staff we encountered and interacted with were kind, accommodating, friendly and really made me (a person with severe anxiety) feel at ease! - the living space was a relaxed atmosphere and comfortable, great place to chill if you donβt want to be confined to your room. - The rooms are small but all the space is utilised perfectly! Everything is controlled via the hotel iPad or the app on your phone which makes it feel so fun and exciting. - The bed was huge and unbelievably comfortable with spare pillows available in the drawer. My partner who sleeps terribly in hotels, slept like an absolute log. Iβve never known her to sleep so well away from home! - Breakfast was delicious, I was especially a fan of the scrambled egg. I can also vouch for the mochas - the perfect temperature and coffee to chocolate ratio. - everything was lovely and quiet, we even had construction going on outside our bedroom window and we didnβt hear a sound from them. What I will say is if you do plan to come here with someone else, make sure itβs someone your comfortable with because, while not crystal clear, the shower has frosted glass so you can see a relatively clear silhouette of whoever is showering. And the only negatives I can say is the water temperature was a little hard to manage at times but it wasnβt anything scandalous and one of the lifts wasnβt working which was completely fine but definitely slowed things down a smidge. But honestly none of these things negatively impacted my stay so I maintain my 5 stars. We will be back!β
βI stayed as a solo business traveller on the 22 - 24 October and was very pleasantly surprised by how friendly the young staff were from the reception desk to the bar and restaurant. They went above and beyond to have a chat, hold my bags, direct me to bus stops. etc. They were genuinely warm and welcoming and made it feel like a four star experience. The bar and lounge area are very comfortable for a business traveller looking to do some work while having a drink or bite to eat. It's a cosy environment and the veggie burger was quite tasty and generous. While the rooms are a bit basic, the bathrooms are well maintained and the friendliness of the staff and downstairs bar area more than made up for that. I would definitely return again - thanks all.β
βA very nice place to eay and drink. Im supporting all local business in our area so if you have a chance try Sams for a beutifull meal.β
βI opted for the crispy roasted pork with noodlesβa choice that left me thoroughly satisfied. While the price leaned slightly above average, the culinary experience proved well worth it. The crispy roasted pork, though not as juicy as I had hoped, found redemption in a delightful combination of barbecue sauce and soy sauce for dipping. The noodles, on the other hand, were a true highlightβflavorful and expertly prepared, they served as the perfect accompaniment to the pork. Portions at Same Same are generous, ensuring that hunger is never a concern. Moreover, the friendly staff added to the warm and inviting atmosphere, culminating our visit with the delightful tradition of a fortune cookie.β
βToday i wanted some food to eat on the way home, i got the chicken Jalandhri to take away I requested extra chillies, and they were quite accomodating. I also requested a bit more salt on my food, as i have a medical need for it, and so they obliged By filling an entire dip tub with salt and including it in my bag! They took no chances with dissatisfaction I could not have asked for more, and i ended up devouring the entire thing on the way home, it was lovely, rich, and full of coriander, my favourite herb! Service was surprisingly quick, i did wait inside the restaurant while it was being prepared, it seemed a very cosy and intimate place, quiet and comfy, dark and moody lighting, it felt quite romantic i'm very pleased overall!β
βGreat afternoon in the Southside. Fabulous service, great food and wonderful cocktails. Lovely atmosphere and with music at a level you could still have a conversation with. Will be back to check out their live band evenings. Greek salad and Mango chicken with coconut rice.β
βFrom the moment we stepped in, the owner was incredibly welcoming and helpful re: food allergies and questions. The food was INCREDIBLE! My friend and I did the prix fixe menu for 2 and got papadam, veggie samosas, chicken pakora, chicken tikka masala, dal makhani, garlic naan, and pilau rice. Absolutely delicious, more than enough for 2, took some leftovers home, and only Β£36. Best experience we couldβve asked for.β
βIβm from England. I come here for every visit to glasgow. This place has one of the best burgers and grills in the UK! Professional and Brilliant service by the Owner and Alishaβ
βHave seen many Chinese restaurants in the UK This is by far the best i have ever experienced Food quality, speed and service great Not the cheapest but fantastic qualityβ
βThe service was truly breathtaking. I have yet to experience a restaurant with such good quality as Tandooriβs Choice in Glasgow. Was there on a holiday but I am now thinking to fly back from The Netherlands for their great food. Truly worth itβ
βBest Indian food locally, so fresh and flavoursome. Never had a bad meal been going for years now. Would highly recommend.β
βA quiet and convenient location, really close to the subway into town centre and also next to the Kelvin river. Room was clean and beds were comfortable.β
