“Superb, if you haven't tried you really need to go, best fillet of beef in peppercorn sauce I've tasted so far, my hubby said beef stroganoff was amazing also, will defo be returning very soon. Nice relax atmosphere.”

“We enjoyed an afternoon tea at the Castle. It has a "Highland Castle" feeling inside and outside, despite being 10 mins from city centre! The Christmas and overall decor were very cosy, and the service was excellent too!”

“Had a birthday lunch today in the bar area. We took our wee dog with us and he was given his bowl of water immediately. The wine was lovely, service was 1st class and the club sandwich was the best sandwich I have ever eaten. Will definitely be coming back.”

“Went with some colleagues. I got the chicken, cooked beef, and rare beef pho on our waitress’ recommendation. A good portion of noodles, well-marinated chicken, well-cooked beef, and deliciously flavoured broth. Not “special” per se but certainly delicious, exactly what you think a yummy beef pho would taste like. My colleagues also liked their stir fried beef with egg fried rice and coconut curry with vermicelli. All round great meal. Service was friendly and food came really fast. They also offer fruit smoothies/milkshakes - we enjoyed the mango and avocado ones we tried.”

“Such a relaxing place to dine. The staff are warm, friendly and really helpful. Ask for some advice on what to eat, and they'll surprise you with something interesting. The food is off the charts amazing. This is my 4th time there and each time is a treat. Lovely surroundings (check out the ceiling!) and quiet background music. Food is delivered promptly, but nothing is rushed. Absolutely my favourite Glasgow restaurant.”

“Attended a Christmas do with friends here and the dining room they prepared for us was breathtaking. The food was very good, but service fairly slow. Each course took an hour to come out and the drinks were a bit inconsistent with the arrival times. We were a very large party though, so I appreciate this may not be the standard for them. One of our party weren't able to make it due to illness and I was able to get their meal packaged up so they wouldn't miss out. Unfortunately their dessert was not included in the food parcels (which has been paid for in advance as part of the course) but I still really appreciated that we got most of the order and that they gave it to me towards the end to ensure it didn't sit for too long. All in all, it was a wonderful experience and I'd recommend them for a function if you want to wow your guests.”

“Busy place on a Saturday lunchtime. Lunch menu is available with a decent selection. Staff are friendly and there was no rush to get the table back. We ended up with three courses along with a couple of bottles of red wine. Will certainly be back”

The mango drink was also really good as it was not too sweet and had nice chunks of mango. The service was even better as I felt like I was back in MY with all the warm hospitality from the staff. So glad to see that there is such a place to make you feel a home away from home.”

“We had the 2 course and 3 course set and they were fantastic!! Although steak in seafood restaurant usually disappointing, it's not the case with Shucks! The steak was very nice and tender. My partner enjoyed the mussels saganaki and the prawn and lobster roll. For us, the star of the meal was the roll. We also had an amazing time with the recommendation and a warm service from Jean/Jane (apologies for forgetting your name!). Will definitely come and visit again.”

The staff were attentive, warm, and genuinely interested in ensuring an enjoyable experience. They even gave me a complimentary sauce that perfectly complemented the meat's taste. I highly recommend them if you're visiting Glasgow.”

“Me and my partner went here for our lunch the other day and omg we were not disappointed my partner got the salt and chill wrap along with Cajun fries and a drink and was an amazing deal, I went for the bacon and cheese foundue chips and a drink and I was only £5 I thought was an awesome deal! The chips with bacon and cheese omg I highly recommend absolutely delicious and so filling, my partner says his order was perfection and he enjoyed everythin! Big shout out to Emily the girl who served us she is such a lovely girl and very polite and professional and well mannered! If your served by her then your lucky . “First visit to the Maldron or the group and was impressed by the experience. Staff were all first class, communicative and industrious with a pleasant demeanour. Quality of finishings was excellent, very comfortable bed and very clean room and public areas. Breakfast selection was as expected, was regularly refreshed and plenty available. Look forward to my next visit.”

“Fabulous location! Right within 5-10 minute walking distance to shopping, theater, and tons of pubs and restaurants. One of my favorite things about this hotel is they have a couple of filtered water stations to fill up your bottles. It’s a small thing with a huge and welcomed convenience while traveling. The staff were extremely friendly and accommodating.”
