“Interesting and informative to walk round. Steps for better viewing, well maintained for picnics on the grass. Special events so check their website. Cafe and toilets plus kids park, really good few hours! Car park nearby (I parked in morrisons as shopping after) and you can walk around the outside, on paths and over the road.”

“We are now the new landlord & Landlady of the whinney moor pub and will be taking over as of from 23rd July Tuesday. We will be upgrading the pub bringing in new entertainment, foods, new opening and closing times they will be No more late night partying on a weekend if you want that go to a nightclub! “1996 was a bad year for me but I got sent to this place. Mr. HANDLEY was incharge back then. A super guy. All the staff were great. Back then it was mixed males and females. I wound up on the girls landing because it had a self catering room. They helped me get a job and a flat. But me being young and stupid I wound back there a second time. The staff deserve lots of respect. I realy enjoyed my time there, they made us feel safe. And No worries about bills and I made many good friends inhouse. We all used to go out together. It was a great restart point for us. Peace, Love and Respect.”

“This is not a 5 star hotel but for the price I honestly don’t think you can beat the service of the staff (they were incredibly accommodating, engaging, and strived to make the time efficient and enjoyable). The food was adequate for dinner and breakfast was more then we were anticipating. Again, it isn’t the ritz, but we just kept commenting to each other, dang, this place is clean, organized and more than we would expect for the price. Well done!”
