“This is by far the best Nando's in the whole wide world. If you want an experience, dine in on a Tuesday. We innocently came in for our usual 10 wings with 2 regular sides. We were served by Jack. We enjoyed our heart meal then Jack asked if we'd tried their desserts and the satisfaction in my family's faces told me we should just keep doing this. The warm chocolate pudding sent me to the seventh heaven. If you haven't tried it, try it. If you've tried it before try the one from this Nando's branch. Trust me its an investment with instant returns. From my experience in retail I know it's very hard to keep a smile on ones face and inspite having a really bad day the Nando's staff and Leeds Skelton Lake brightened my day making it THE CENTRE of MENTAL WELLNESS. “Highly recommending to try the entire menu. No matter what you get. It is fresh, well seasoned, cooked to perfection, and is delicious. I have visited several occasions and every time the food quality and the hospitality is beyond expectation. It is reasonably priced, good portions, friendly staffs, clean cutlery and seating area, also they got family seating area too for more privacy, and lots of parking space. This is a must try because It is authentic, definitely one of the best Middle Eastern resturant not in leeds but in The UK. Vegetarian options available too which also mouth watering. I certainly will visit again.”

“Nice Decent Place for Food + a Great Variety of Drinks. Been going here for sometime now for drinks or dining and always enjoy our visit. Last two visits I've noticed that the service was not up to the level which it was before for example staff taking time your order or not getting around you regularly to check up if anything needed also even after paying the bill I noticed that table was not cleared for sometime. Don't know if it was because of the less staff or just in general. The venue wasn't busy either. One thing for sure was that food was once again top notch. I'd definitely keep going here and recommend others to try this gem of a place on street lane.”

“Great Indian restaurant! The food was great: very tasty and spicy and they also have kids meals so you can go with the family! Staff is very nice and helpful, they especially made a typical tea for me although it wasn’t on the menu. Deserts were pre-made and alright and I would have expected more traditional options. But still had a lovely evening!”

“Starter - Royal Mixed Kebab Main - Chicken Nihari - Asian Style, with Pilau rice. Very intimate restaurant with a relaxing atmosphere. Perfect to bring your spouse if you want a nice romantic evening dinner, without the noise found in those large Indian chain restaurants. The food... Delicious, authentic. Reasonably priced. Curries catered to both the western palate and those that desire more authentic food, can be found here. Parking available on site.”

“The atmosphere was calm, cool and welcoming. The welcome we received from all staff was everything, I absolutely loved it. The food was great, you can eat as much as you want for less. I particularly loved the rice, chicken and the fish. The dessert was complimentary for us and unfortunately I don’t know the name but I tell you the best was saved for the last because I loved it (you can check my pictures for the dessert). You have to pay extra for your drinks. It was a really lovely time there and I’d definitely be visiting again. I recommend! You may book for a group as large as 10, we all had a lovely evening. It was a very busy Friday night and I'm sure on any other night food would have arrived more quickly. “We went on 5th December before seeing Miss Saigon. It was very festive, all tables were taken and the atmosphere was joyous. The staff were excellent, one of our meals didn’t have enough chicken in it. As soon as we raised this with our waiter he apologised and solved the problem. More chicken was presented to our table in good time as we were all still eating. Very reasonably priced and good food for the centre of town and an excellent service”

“A family-style Hong Kong-flavoured restaurant with a warm and friendly atmosphere. The menu includes clear photos, so you can easily order just by looking at the pictures. Highly recommend the roast duck and roast pork. We also ordered the crispy noodles with pork ribs — the portion was generous and it was absolutely delicious. The iced lemon tea is also a must-try. If I visit York again, I’ll definitely come back here for dinner.”

“Wow..... Food is incredible and amazing service. My steak was so good, cooked to medium and the hake was so well presented. The wine was beautiful but the port was served at the perfect temperature, along with the cheese!”

My wife has severe allergies and everyone was super accommodating from the moment we arrived, even the chap behind the bar knew about them and the chef could explain all the changes made to each dish - very reassuring. We had the tasting menu and the food was excellent, not as excessively and unnecessarily posh as some places - no foamed essence of unicorn - just the best version of each food item you've ever eaten, served with a smile and a warm welcome. Will definitely be back next time we have something to celebrate!”

“Great Central location, decent happy hour offers in the bar, and the nicest Hotel food I've ever tried. Breakfast buffet had hot cooked, continental including smoked salmon and various cheeses, cereals, juices, and multiple different milk options. Rooms were spacious, clean, and had everything we needed.”

“Very convenient location in the wharf behind the train station if arriving by train - in fact from one side of the hotel you can see right into the tracks! I had a King room on canal side, extremely clean, quiet and a good bed. Shower has a small step and bathroom a normal door which has pros and cons. Could hear some corridor noise but not disturbing. Reception helpful. Solid breakfast, if not exceptional - good croissants and attentive service. Only caveat maybe on rooms on station side which perhaps could be noisier. Didn't have time to try Sky bar unfortunately. Overall, exceeded my expectations, would recommend.”

“Rooms were clean and tidy and the beds were comfy, hotel was quiet and the staff were really approachable and friendly and the breakfast was good. The main reason for feedback is because we didn’t realise (as we were travelling to a different destination and hadn’t unpacked) we had left a teddy our son had had since birth until they rang and asked if we had left something. We offered to collect it on our way back in a few days but they offered to post it out to us, we feel this was going above and beyond as we didn’t expect to even be notified of leaving something. Our son was so happy and we’re so grateful. Thank you!”

The setting is stunning, with such a stylish and welcoming atmosphere. Even the restrooms are worth a mention – so elegant and spotless, really adding to the overall experience. The only slight issue was that around 4pm the music seemed to get stuck on repeat, which became a little noticeable. Aside from that, everything was perfect. The staff were attentive, the service was great, and I’d highly recommend it for a special meal or night out. Birthday Celebration”
