“We loved this place in the Albert Dock in Liverpool. We had the Pad Thai and Massaman beef curry. They were both great. The place was bouncing at 8.30 on a Sunday night so the atmosphere was great! This is somewhere we would definitely go back to!”

“Went for lunch here with my sister, would highly recommend. We had the scallops, king prawns, steak tartare and beetroot to start and all the dishes were well presented and packed with flavour. We then shared a ribeye with the gravy, cauliflower cheese and cabbage. We paired our food with dirty martinis and spicy mango margaritas. Absolutely flawless food and incredible drinks, we couldn’t fault it. We were looked after by the lovely Dan, who had the perfect balance of attentiveness without being overbearing. We felt really well looked after and was able to sit back, chat and relax. Thank you to Dan for ensuring we had the perfect meal. “Husband and I went for an early tea as we had the opportunity of a baby sitter! Food is always fantastic here, I have literally never had a bad meal after visiting for 15+ years. Marc heads up a team of exceptional chefs whilst the waiting-on staff make sure you are well looked after. Michelin star quality food but with better portion sizes. The mix of French classic cuisine with some Asian dishes and top notch Italian pastas never ceases to amaze me. The menu is small (ish) but executed perfectly. There is a reason this place is booked up weeks in advance, but if you're in the local area you simply must visit”

“We had a fabulous evening at Cargo. The staff were absolutely lovely and the food was delicious! Well worth the money. So glad we chose this restaurant. We could hear a very rude, entitled man talking to the staff very badly. It was his birthday and we had no idea what his issue was. It just seemed like he wanted to complain about anything. His wife seemed very embarrassed by him and it transpired that they had visited the restaurant many times. The staff were so polite and managed the man very well. Bravo!!”

“We had an incredible dining experience at The Fat Italian in Burscough! From start to finish, every dish was a delight. The starters were impressive - the garlic bread, goat cheese and pine nut bruschetta, and pane olio were all delicious and perfectly prepared. For mains, the prawn pasta was good, and the salmon and asparagus was a standout - the white sauce was absolutely amazing! But the real showstopper was the dessert! We were blown away by the Daim butterscotch sundae, it was truly unbelievable!”

“Delicious Japanese food! I had the pork katsu don, the pork was crispy, the egg silky and the sauce was flavourful and savoury. Staff were friendly and efficient. Overall, authentic, tasty dishes and a wide range of options guarantees at least an 8/10, not the best I’ve had but definitely up there! :D”

“Stopped by on a work trip to Chester - the hotel restaurant was busy and they recommended this place and I am really glad I went! The food was lovely - everything tasted very fresh and authentic. It was really busy but they were still able to find a table for me, and the food came out very quickly. Despite being busy, they were very attentive. I ordered the linguine al pesto and the tiramisu and both were fantastic. If I'm ever in Chester again, I'll be sure to pop by again!”

We received a warm welcome, enjoyed stunning oer d'oeuvres and fizz, before moving into the restaurant for the exquisite 7 course tasting menu which was accompanied by superb well thought out drinks pairing. A social mention to Sommelier Boris, whose knowledge and passion shone through and made sure that we had a memorable experience. Hats off to Chef Elliot and team. Chester should be proud! “Beautiful restaurent, locating the entrance was a bit daunting being alone but once I was inside, it felt like a hidden gem. There was an excellent efficient service with hard working young, polite gentlemen. The restaurant had a lot of character and beautifully decorated. The heating made the booth nice and cosy which made a big difference as it was near the enterence. The tables were clean and had very comfortable seats. Lovely range of curries, however there was no drinks menu but staff were well trained enough to let us know the available beverages. It would have been better with some background music as other tables got understandably very festive and loud. Overall we all enjoyed the food and will be back. The biriyani was amazing, one of the best ones I have had in a long while. The curries were all lovely but surprised that the tikka masala was unexpectedly sweet, tasted good still so I was happy.”
