“Great place. More like a large microbrewery than a pub. Limited selection of draft beers, but there's something for everyone. Service and staff are great, very friendly. Average prices for the area, and a nice little courtyard in the back and some unusual upstairs seating. A really nice place to visit.”
“Nice Friendly Pub & Staff. Been here quite a few times for Clay Pigeon shooting and food. Always a warm welcome and friendly.”
“Fantastic room, staff, atmosphere and I would definitely book a function there without hesitation!! It was an amazing day and everyone who attended was delighted X”
“Absolutely beautiful buffet provided by Elaine for a christening.”
“1st visit today and already booked for the next one. This is what I'd call a proper pub, felt realy at home . The food was delicious, we had the small potions, and there was well more than I expected for the price. The selection of drinks is also good . Can't wait for our next visit”
“We booked ahead for Miller & Carter at the Albert Dock (definitely recommended as it was busy) and went as a party of three. From the moment we arrived we were welcomed and greeted really warmly, which set the tone straight away. Despite how busy it was, the service was excellent – attentive without being pushy. Our food order was taken promptly after we were seated, giving us time to settle in without feeling rushed. We all ordered steaks, and each one was cooked exactly as requested – absolutely spot on. The quality was great, and it’s clear the kitchen takes real care. Having visited several Miller & Carter restaurants before, I can honestly say this is one of the better ones. Definitely worth a visit if you’re spending time around the Albert Docks area.”
“My wife and I had function for 30-40 people. The food was buffet style, with plenty of choice, few types of meat, salads, dips, mezes, all fresh and super tasty. The dedicated bar was serving only our area, plus waiting staff for our function only. The best part was that we, could play our own music. As my wife is a part of Bulgarian folk dance group, this was a great opportunity to practice their skills. We were left to enjoy the food and party without any pressure from the management. Our family had time of our life there, and I will look forward to use this restaurant in future. Thanks a lot:)”
“We recently visited for my son's lunch. We didn't have a reservation, but was seated straight away. He ordered the famous Scouse that came with warm crusty bread and chopped beetroot. Food came quickly, it was piping hot and tasted really good, beef and vegetables were really tender. Friendly service and we will return.”
“It is decades since I was last at the Kicking Donkey. Went on a whim on a late Saturday lunchtime. Turned out to be a great decision - the food was lovely at reasonable prices for quality and portion size. The service was spot on; helpful and pleasant without being over the the top. And it's dog friendly which is a bonus. We will be back.”
“Had the most amazing evening in miller and carter in aughton. How the lovely Lucy kept up with the menu choices was beyond me. We had a choice of festive, Xmas and a la carte and ordered from them all so goodness knows how she did it. Hope she’s here when we come back which we deffo will xxxx”
“Had a great evening. The building is beautiful being situated right on the river, but the internal decor is just fantastic, giving real redneck American vibes. From the moment I arrived all of the staff were great. Really friendly and attentive without being over the top and annoying. I had fajitas which were incredible - genuinely tasty! I finished off with a rum milkshake. Not going to lie, I felt like I was going to have a food coma when I left. Really great evening. Great food and great service. Thank you!”
“This place is consistently spectacular. Amazingly authentic Turkish food, family run by the most beautiful friendly people and an incredibly fun and vibrant atmosphere. We come from Manchester every year for our wedding anniversary and this place never disappoints. We had the mixed meat platter for 2 and wowzers, come hungry because the portions are huge but so so delicious. We finished the evening talking with the owner into the early hours. She is a lovely lady and we will be back next year”
“Absolutely delightful pub and setting, we stopped off after a short walk on the canal. As my daughter loves live music they let us stay for a little while to little while and listen to it. We are very grateful to them, thank you. Is probably more catered to the hipster student types but if I was 15-20 years younger I would have loved it there. Excellent.”
“Went for lunch on recommendation of a friend and wasnot disappointed. Had the 3 course fixed price lunch. Lovely fresh cooked food, generous portion, great value for money. Friendly staff, though did seem to be a little short handed. Lovely environment, nice and clean, plenty of parking. Will definitely be back.”
“It's the staff who make The Druid Inn a terrific place to visit. We stayed for 3 nights while doing Offa's Dyke Path, and were made to feel very welcome. The staff transported us to the start of our walk each day and collected us in the afternoons - with plenty of conversation to keep us entertained. The restaurant menu was extensive enough to keep our interest, and the food excellent. We appreciated the big breakfasts and packed lunches. The rooms are compact but well equipped and comfortable.”
“Steak and chippy chips what more can you ask for. Oh wait unlimited chippy chips is what. Great tasting steaks to pair with unlimited chippy chips will definitely be back.”
“I've eaten here a few times now and have always found the staff, service and food to be excellent. I've popped in on a weekend without booking and they've very kindly found us a table, not that I'm recommending just rocking up unannounced of course, but they do go above and beyond to help you out. I'm sure you'll enjoy a nice quite meal here. Sunday lunch for four, with an alcoholic drink each £80'ish.”
“The best restaurant on the Fylde coast! The food is served so quickly and it is delicious. The staff are very friendly and attentive. I have been going to this restaurant for years and the standards have never slipped. I love the complementary breadsticks, dip and olives! 100% recommend the Penne Al Forno and Garlic Mushrooms (starter)”
“Another update with pictures of chicken wing appetizer and the chicken and beef Sunday dinner - as ever great food. An amazing selection of beers at a very reasonable price. Service is exemplary and nothing ever seems any trouble. Even a taster of a new beer is given with even asking about it, like they read your mind when not sure. Atmosphere is perfect for a snug brew house. And of course the food is great as well anything for a quick bite to Sunday lunch. Well worth a visit or two.”
“A hidden gem in Liverpool city centre. Awesome place to come for a few drinks. Open late. Great atmosphere, friendly and helpful staff. They also have a small whiskey shop which is well worth a visit.”
“Absolutely lovely pub and the food was amazing. Very friendly and attentive staff, I can't wait to go back here again!”

“Called in for quick beer and bite to eat , I knew they had some nice beers. Was made to feel very welcome and enjoyed the food we ate. Great little stop if you're passing.”
“Pet friendly restaurant. Tasty food and good vibes.”
“This is real ale heaven. Huge range of beers. Only complaint being only one bitter and a lot of strong beers. Ate here a while back in the upstairs room. Yum. Can get noisy for old people like Paulicarus and I. The type of pub you can live in and beer will come too you. Tv's for footie etc.”
“Excellent experience, last minute booking, the staff couldn't do more for us, even though the restaurant was full, they really looked after us, the food was exceptional, real authentic Turkish food. Will definitely return in the future. A must if your ever in Southport.”
