Staff incredibly friendly (sorry I didn’t catch your name!) and came running after me when I left my ring on the table. Can’t say thank you enough!”

“Stayed here for one night, agree with the other reviews, Dave was really friendly and helpful when we checked in, the room was at the top of a Georgian house, very quiet, very clean and with a very comortable bed. En-suite shower room was clean and there were complimentary toiletries. If you are fine managing stairs I would highly recommend room 5! Lots of options for breakfast in the cafes and pubs locally. Hope to stay again next time we are in Chester.”

“Lovely Sunday lunch served here. Part of the college so unsure what it's like during term time but of a Sunday it's really nice, quite full but we'll spaced so didn't feel too busy. Food couldn't be faulted”

“We went last Sunday 10th March for Mother's Day. Food was fresh, tasty and wonderful as always. The roast lamb and beef dinners are outstanding. Service was impeccable.....friendly and professional with all food coming out piping hot. We visit here often as it's such a gem.”

“This is a classic venue with 60s and 70s vibes tucked away on Railway Road, it's just a great place to get a coffee they do food as well, it's a proper trip down memory Lane with all the pictures on the walls and the music that's played at reasonable level, so you can chat, and you inevitably end up talking to everybody in there, because it's so friendly, it's also a music venue, where he has entertainment on upstairs in the evening at weekends. Overall, this is a gem of a place and it's a shame to pass it by.”

“Cannot praise Casa Carlos enough. Right from being greeted by the lovely Sophia the atmosphere was second to none. Feeling relaxing, comfortable and at home it took me back to my many times abroad visiting tapas bars certainly could have been anywhere but Wigan Town centre. We were offered drinks then later ordered our food at no time did we feel rushed and our personal requests were taken into consideration with no fuss. Oh my days the food was delicious and presented so well and good portions compliments to Callum the chef perfection on a plate! Deserts were delicious almost too nice to eat as they were presented so well. As we wrapped up our dining experience we all agreed we would definately be returning . A beautiful place amazing staff and wonderful atmosphere with fantastic prices to top it off. Thankyou Sophia, Callum and Casa Carlos”

Our daughter recommended this fantastic place to us,my parents visited before they went to Thailand and they enjoyed it. Now we have tried it.I was hooked after just 2 mouthfuls of my chicken panang. The spring rolls, fishcakes and the stuffed wings exquisite. We are celebrating our 27th anniversary and this was our anniversary meal. I guarantee we will be ordering again thank you so much.”

“Took my amazing girlfriend for a surprise treat before going to chester. Well worth the hour and a bit drive. What a gem. Quirky tearoom set back from the road. Service was amazing and people very chatty and genuine. Even had a free library for you to take a book home with you or swop on your next trip. We had an afternoon tea. It was delicious and plentiful. We can highly recommend this place. Great value for money.”

“Got a Juke Burger at GPO Liverpool and the food was amazing. Last time we were at GPO my wife got a burger and I was sooo jealous that this time there was nowhere else I was going. Staff were friendly and knowledgeable when asked about allergens and really helpful. Good range of items on the menu. Wife had the Cluck Norris and I had the Brooklyn and they were both amazing and cooked perfectly. Had Cajun Fries which were crisp and perfectly cooked. Deffo would be my first choice when we go back to GPO!!”

“Amazing place to go perfect for families couple or any one who wants a treat. Gluten free options for nearly all options. The chicken waffle picture is GF, the chef totally understood Gf and came over and discussed and told us everything. The chips were also gluten free. The portion was so big we had to get a doggy bag which they have cardboard boxes for. The little one went for orios option and it was amazing also she had a milk shake that has 4 scoops of ice-cream perfect lunch. I went for the fish finger waffles again amazing. The staff were really helpful and friendly. Went out of there way to help. All in all an brilliant experience - suggest you book though. Its a small venue which helps build the atmosphere.”

“Went to Black Door this morning. I had the breakfast my friend had the avocado, both meals were beautifully presented and tasted delicious. The staff member was great, very welcoming. We had gone for a catch up and weren’t made to feel rushed at all. Highly recommend this cafe.”

“Amazing food....I was about to venture out to Miller and Carter when I happened upon this takeaway. The food was 10/10, I had the squid for starters and beef ramen, couldn't fault anything. Finished off with a brownie and ice cream. Credit where its due, one of the best takeaways I've had ever. When I visit work site next time I'll definitely be repeating my order.”

“The best burger spot in town. Food is always piping hot and fresh. Side note if you are looking through the reviews there is a false one from last year of a raw burger. That burger is from McDonald's and if you just search raw McDonald's burger it comes up on Google images from a news site. Please don't be put off by the fake review.”

“What a lovely place... I'd call it a cafe, but it's much more than that! The food is great, well presented and delicious. The girls are friendly, welcoming and efficient too, and there's a lovely ambiance. They don't just sell great food, but they have really unusual gifts, cards and some groceries too. I've only tried the eat in service, but they also provide a take out too. Five stars all the way!”
