“What a lovely place... I'd call it a cafe, but it's much more than that! The food is great, well presented and delicious. The girls are friendly, welcoming and efficient too, and there's a lovely ambiance. They don't just sell great food, but they have really unusual gifts, cards and some groceries too. I've only tried the eat in service, but they also provide a take out too. Five stars all the way!”

“Great food at a great price. It's small and cosy and always busy so make sure you book early. They don't serve alcohol but you can bring your own. The staff are super lovely too. Honestly would recommend it to everyone. They also accommodate kids!”

“Great vibe in this place. Lots of cool and quirky little touches such as the conversation starter jars on the tables and the option to purchase a hot drink for a homeless person or person in need. Very child friendly with lots of toys and some comfy couches for breastfeeding. There are guitars for people to play and the staff are very friendly. Great menu and the prices are very reasonable.”

“Wow, best ice cream ever. Service with a smile too. We had just missed the TV cameras by about 10 minutes. I had the Mint Choc Chip and Lemon n Lime so delicious. Definately recommend if you are in the area, cant wait to visit again !”

“This is a proper locals pub, I only ever found about this place because a mate told me about it. The pub itself from the outside looks like it isn't open lol, and the sign is half hanging off but when you go in there it was rammed packed and quite big inside. We sat out the back on these beer kegs which had been converted into seats. The pub itself I don't think has been renovated in a very long time but I like that kind of stuff. I would recommend coming here.”

“So much choice here, it's a bit baffling but the waiter was so helpful and took loads of time to run though all the options with us. Brilliant for vegan 'junk', loaded fries, burgers etc there are also a few home cooked meals like a shepherd's pie and Mac & cheese. Good Chinese from the Woo Tan Scran menu and you can mix and match from both menus for any meal deals. The restaurant is in the basement, so it's got a cosy vibe but no views. The family who own this place obviously put in their heart and soul , thought and a lot of hard work and it really shows. So happy to have visited and also seen amazing Carl Warner art work again!”

“Ordered here for lunch. Food was absolutely delicious, quite literally the best food I've had in quite some time. Delivery was quick food was still hot when it arrived, sauces came separately from the main so it wasn't soggy at all. 10/10, would recommend.”

The food is divine and the staff make each visit so wonderful and memorable for us and it makes us want to visit time and time again. There is no other place in this city that will ever beat the dining experience of the art school. “Great find on Bold Street. Greeted warmly when we arrived. We hadn't booked, but that was ok. The menu was explained to us with regards to allergies. If you have a gluten allergy, it's great as most of the menu is gluten-free. The atmosphere was nice and all the staff were friendly and smiley. The food we had was delicious. My wife had the meat combo rice bowl, and I had a Vietnamese noodle soup with beef three ways. Recommended by the girl that served us and it did not disappoint. As authentic as you like, with the aromatics on a separate plate to add if you wished. The desserts were banana fritters with chocolate sorbet and a chocolate waffle with coconut sorbet. A nice end to our meal. Would definitely recommend and will most definitely return.”

“I celebrated my 40th here and my friends couldn’t have chosen a better place. We had upstairs to ourselves, so we could catch up to our hearts content. The service was fantastic. The ladies couldn’t have done more for us and they even gave me a birthday card which was such a lovely touch. The food was so flavoursome; we had loads of different foods but I can suggest the mezze and the halloumi. I can’t wait to come back when I’m back in Liverpool.”
