“What a find just along from Penny Lane. A real hidden gem of a restaurant. Unassuming from the outside but tastefully done on the inside. Very well themed very clean and a very pleasant setting for an afternoon tea and cake, glass of wine or cocktail, small plates, or in fact an excellent range of starters, main courses, and deserts. All good portions, well presented, and delicious. The staff were all very friendly and attentive, offering an excellent service. We will definitely be returning soon. Highly recommended.”

“Went for lunch here with my sister, would highly recommend. We had the scallops, king prawns, steak tartare and beetroot to start and all the dishes were well presented and packed with flavour. We then shared a ribeye with the gravy, cauliflower cheese and cabbage. We paired our food with dirty martinis and spicy mango margaritas. Absolutely flawless food and incredible drinks, we couldn’t fault it. We were looked after by the lovely Dan, who had the perfect balance of attentiveness without being overbearing. We felt really well looked after and was able to sit back, chat and relax. Thank you to Dan for ensuring we had the perfect meal. If you’re looking for a high end dining experience with high quality food and drinks, RBG is the place to be!”

“Lovely calm atmosphere. Staff are very friendly and quick to seat you and serve drinks. Food is amazing, it was our second visit this year and I had the same food as the first time. It was just as good, I wish we lived closer! You're not waiting long for food either. Just great all round!”

“The pizza here was phenomenal, excellent quality which is nice as you feel like you’re still getting a premium type experience despite the fabulously casual vibe of the restaurant:) the prices of the pizzas were reasonable, around £12-14 from what I remember and were definitely worth it. My partner and I also tried the Iced Bailey’s Latte (a cocktail) which was stunning and something a bit different! Would really recommend coming here, it can get quite busy on a weekend so would also recommend booking just to be on the safe side! Overall an amazing experience:)”

“I can Highly recommend this Italian restaurant if you are in Liverpool. Lobster ravioli was excellent. Lovely staff. We were going to a concert at Liverpool cathedral ( Heather Small). Only a few mins walk away. Will definitely be back.”

“We went there for a family lunch with our two little ones and honestly, we had the best experience - great food, lovely interior and excellent service. Little touches like water specially prepared for babies or spotlessly clean high chairs brought immediately to our table made us feel very cared of.”

Had the mixed sushi platter as starter, was fantastic I had the lamb loin, was really really good, the flavour was fantastic the mint was mmmmm My partner had the chicken with chillie & garlic, that tasted delicious The side orders , egg fried rice, sauteed potato, stir fry veg, was bloody good too. The chef was incredible, dinner and a show. I've been many times , and they never disappoint. If you've never been, GO!!!!! It's not the cheapest tho, so bring your wallet. But the food is fantastic, and kids will love it too.”

“Finally booked for Sunday dinner as few people had said they were lovely. omg would highly recommend it was delicious we as a couple are quite fussy, it’s the roast potatoes for me and wow they were perfect, we went for the beef roast dinner and 100% be back again! The only thing I could criticise is were we sat it was a bit cold so had to sit with our jackets on whilst eating. But still wouldn’t put me off from booking again.”

“We just had a takeaway from here and it was absolutely delish. Particularly recommend the Peshwari naan and the lansuni lamb (had a nice kick). I had the Bhutwa chicken and was also delicious. Good portions and the meat was beautifully cooked. The seasoning really made the food stand out, really well blended and chosen spices. We will definitely be ordering again.”

“Such a nice chill vibe but not uncomfortable quiet! Food was delish and very reasonable price! Ended up ordering a lot even though I was supposed to be a light snack! Get ready for a cosy autumnal afternoon! Lentil soup was £4! No overpowering flavours just wholesome! I would have personally enjoyed some more seasoning with the Hummus maybe sort of molasses drizzle to give it an uplevel! But was still nice! £5 and come with home made pitta breads! The mixed shish wrap £10 comes with chips! Very flavourful and filling! Tacos were really nice! Good flavour!”

“This was me and my sisters first time visiting Liverpool and Byron. The atmosphere and the food was really great. Our server Sienna was so lovely and extremely thorough with our allergies. “Just had an incredible experience with the XO fried rice from my go-to Chinese restaurant. The aroma that filled the room when I opened the container was mouthwatering. The rice itself was perfectly cooked—not too dry and not too sticky. The XO sauce, with its rich umami flavor, was distributed evenly, giving each bite a bold, savory kick. Generous chunks of shrimp, char siu pork, and vegetables added wonderful texture and flavor. The balance of ingredients was spot-on, making every mouthful a delightful mix of tastes and textures. “I would recommend booking before arriving for a Sunday roast as this place was absolutely buzzing! The soup of the day was melt in your mouth delicious and flavoured perfectly! We tried the chicken, pork and beef roasts. They were equally amazing. I preferred the chicken as it came with crispy skin. The pork came with wonderful crackling if that's your bag. You cannot leave here without having pudding. The brownie, cheesecake and toffee pudding were out of this world. The kitchen is on point with timing and the wait staff did them proud despite how busy it was. Lovely, warm, welcoming and worth a visit for sure. You won't regret it!”

The staff, especially the Italian man, who i assume was the manager, were lovely and very welcoming. he was extremely helpful and was thorough when explaining the food; he was very polite along with the rest of the staff. the starters were brought out with only about a 10 minute wait, and the food produced was amazing and very well presented. the mains were lovely and were brought out in no time - everyone was full after this! this is an amazing restaurant and i have already recommended this to family and friends - will be coming here again!”
