All the staff have been so kind, attentive, caring and supportive, diligently exploring and discussing all treatment options when needed. “The community rebuilt this park cafe and it is an excellent facility enjoyed by everyone who uses the park and Claygate Primary School. On a sunny weekend you will see many groups and families playing games, having fun, eating ice creams, with drinks etc. Food gets 4 stars only because it is not Michelin starred.”

“A Truly Wonderful Stay – Even with a Rocky Start What a fantastic experience from start to finish—even though our trip began on a difficult note. My wife was injured on the way to The Bear, and we couldn’t have been met with more kindness and care. The staff went above and beyond, and Tracy was an absolute gem—warm, genuine, and made us feel like we were staying with friends rather than in a hotel. This stay really highlighted the contrast with one of the sister hotels we visited, which lacked the same warmth and charm. It’s our second time at The Bear—we stayed last year, and although my wife was initially hesitant about staying in a pub setting, she ended up loving it so much that it topped her list for this year’s trip. We noticed several subtle improvements since our last visit—small touches that really add up and elevate the overall experience. It’s clear that care and attention to detail are a priority here. If we had one minor complaint, it would be the limited parking, but it’s a small trade-off for such a welcoming and comfortable stay. Top rated—we’d love to return again.”

“My dogs Yaya&Didi really enjoyed staying here! They are normally slow but they love every staff here! We had boarding with reactive training - Kelsey and Romeo is very responsive in our whatsup group chat and will post video everyday. We then had a handover session to went through everything my dogs learnt. Absolutely love it❤️ We also had daily updates on Royvon system about their diet and regular message about how are they. This will be the place to go if we need to board our dogs next time.”

“My goodness this restaurant is incredible and delicious! We had a big party of 8 people and service was remarkable. Beautiful atmosphere and wide variety of menu options and lots of gluten free options! Alex took such great care of all of us and went out of his way to make sure all of my dishes were celiac friendly! I highly recommend this spot. The Patatas Bravas were particularly delicious! “Fabulous stay at The Foley. All the staff are amazing, lovely relaxed atmosphere. Nothing was too much trouble. Room was large, clean and well decorated. Very good complementary toiletries in bathroom to use. Ate in both nights and food was delicious. Would definitely go back if needed to stay in Surrey again.”

“Sue helped me understand how to deal with my rescue dog’s reactivity towards some other dogs. I’d already been to one dog behaviourist who, to be honest, had no idea. Sue’s plan was simple and made sense. 4 years on we still revert back to training occasionally but I now have a “normal” dog and we have great worry free walks.”
