“The food is made to order with fresh ingredients, the food is presented nicely and there is more than enough for 2 per course per person, the lady who took our order and served us was really nice and explained the dishes we was looking at and advised us on a few things as well, she took the time to have a chat with us inbetween courses, over all the food was excellent and we had food to take home with us too for later. There was only us in there so we had a good 2 hours to enjoy each course and enjoy our own company, we would definitely recommend to all our family and friends and we will be using this for our takeaway food as well as going back to eat in.”
“Nice food, good portions and good price, but what is more special about this place is the staff. They were super friendly and helpful, always with a great attitude but letting you feel relaxed (I hope you guys feel genuinely happy to work there and your employer recognizes your effort!). Certainly I’ll pick this place for a next meal for the whole experience.”
“We had a great family meal in November. Food, atmosphere, service and festive decorations were all fantastic. (We did not stay in the rooms - just visited the restuarant)”
“We had a lovely time at Bevano on Saturday evening. The atmosphere was relaxed and welcoming — perfect for an evening tea. The staff were friendly, attentive, and made us feel really comfortable. The food was beautifully served and tasted wonderful, and everything was presented with such care. It’s such a cosy spot to unwind and enjoy great service. We’ll definitely be coming back soon!”
“I have been here twice now. A real authentic Italian experince. The food is excellent value for money and really tasty. The staff are friendly and polite. I will definelty return again.”
“Had a few roasts in the old venue which were stunning Been few times at the old cock and Sundays roasts fab too - I do miss the lamb shanks on the menu but enjoy the other meats we had Have to say the cheesecakes are the best I’ve eaten absolutely gorgeous Would also like to comment the young girl running the floor ( maybe the chefs daughter ) so lovely with a gentle caring and kind approach that always tries to make your experience as positive as possible Only negative be the venue seems so cold :)”
“Great atmosphere, where history is tangible. Pub is worth a visit and the food, particularly the carvery, is delicious. Try the raspberry and strawberry sundae. Best ever. Great entertainment laid on some evenings. Excellent venue for birthday parties.”
“Great local pub and a fantastic pint of cask bitter. Pub feels clean and welcoming with really nice decor. Will definitely return for a lovely pint of cask bitter. Compliments to management and staff.”
“The best Sunday roast lunch in the Prestwich area? I think so! We came randomly as we were looking to walk in the forest nearby, and were hugely surprised by the quality of the lunch - for £28 it was three courses (we had halloumi fries for starter, turkey with stuffing, and a sundae for dessert) and it was excellent. The Sunday roast comes in a fun tapas style, and the sides were really really good, especially the rich cauliflower cheese and the crispy potatoes. The gravy with the turkey was also delicious. Everything we had was great, and so was the service. Well we'll worth a visit, and looking forward to trying the weekday menu at a later date. A real hidden gem for the Prestwich area.”
“New Sunday lunch menu is delicious!! Really good gravy, lamb/beef/pork/vegetarian options all looked great. Bar staff unsure which is their favourite - always a good sign!! Haha very friendly bar staff too. Very full and content now :) vegetarian pictured. Looks like not enough gravy, but plates are huge so there was actually plenty. Thanks! :)”
“The best pub in the NQ, great layout, atmosphere and outside area that’s perfect for all occasions. We’ve been here a few times for bottomless brunch and it’s been faultless, great value, great food and even better service. They also have a good happy hour on cocktails and pints. Recently we went specifically for food, trying out their new spring menu. The food was fantastic, classic British menu done to perfection and it’s an absolute bargain in comparison to other pubs of a similar calibre in Manchester. The fish and chips was huge and absolutely delicious, the batter was so different to any other fish and chips I’ve had and it was thoroughly enjoyable. The steak pie was full of meat and incredibly fresh and rich. It really superseded our expectations. Given the quality of the food and the portions I’d say they could charge more but they keep it at great value. The service was also fantastic considering it was busy, our server Katie S was excellent, attentive and even wished my mum a happy birthday which I’d forgotten I put on the booking notes. Thanks for a great afternoon, we’ll be back to try the rest of the menu. It’s a must visit for anyone in Manchester.”
“Had our Christmas do here on Friday. Staff were SO lovely and efficient, food was phenomenal. The vegan mushroom pie was excellent, plenty of extra gravy provided. Really nice night thank you.”
“My partner and I had a great time at the Station Bar watching 6nations game on Sunday. All the ladies working were welcoming and friendly. It was moderately busy and the vibe was relaxed. There seemed to be a good number of regulars enjoying either the rugby, the footie or a good chat. Most importantly, Guinness was spot on!”
“Delicious food!! It was lovely atmosphere in the Red Lion and the staff were extremely welcoming. Cara who waited on us was positively lovely and polite it made our evening even more enjoyable. Definitely will be returning!”
“This is one of the best pubs I’ve been to in years. The food was amazing (I had the chicken kebab on a tortilla wrap with salad and shared salt and pepper topped fries). Brilliant prices for food, the staff were brilliant and very attentive. The decor of the place is spot on and the seating very comfortable.”
“Cracking place in an up and coming area of Stockport. Great vibe inside with plenty of seating. Good selection of food on the menu with gluten free option. Cocktails and wine choices. Service was quick, friendly, Wendy was just lovely and made us feel looked after, thank you! Lovely style of decor with art and lighting. Food was great and tasty, well presented. We had the tapas and cocktails. The squid was delicious! Very reasonably priced. Definitely going to return and good start to the evening before walking into the centre for drinks in other bars.”
“A great pub with amazing staff, especially Millie! Prices are really really good. £19.05 for Dbl JD & Coke, Dbl Jamesons & coke and Dbl Armeretto & Coke. Very clean, welcoming and friendly pub, no issue was to small with happy faces all around and sport on the TV. Also a dartboard which is rare in a pub these days and great slot machines. Will certainly be back to try the food which smelt and looked amazing.”
“Just had a lovely family lunch here, I can highly recommend the fish and chips, although all the meals looked delicious. The staff are friendly and helpful, the pub is cosy with a great beer garden that has a selection of climbing frames for the kids. Would definitely recommend a visit.”
“This is our 2nd visit here ( we dont live locally) so our visita are far apart. The food on both occasions was delicious. We shared the CAMEMBERT for two, with 4 slices of toasted Ciabatta and red onion relish. Extremely tasty. I had the Lentil Cottage pie with vegetables. Really tasty. Hunters chicken was very tasty too. We ate outside. Then went inside for a coffee and to investigate this lovely old house. I read and looked at the photographs on the walls and found out it had belonged to The Boddington Family. Staff were lovely. Very helpful and friendly.”
“My recent dinner experience at The Rising Moon Restaurant Pub was absolutely fantastic from start to finish. Everything, from the moment we walked in to the time we left, exceeded our expectations. The food was simply amazing. Every dish we ordered was prepared perfectly, delivered piping hot, and tasted incredible. It’s clear the kitchen takes great pride in the quality of their ingredients and cooking. Beyond the food, the atmosphere was delightful. There was a lively, warm buzz amongst the other diners, creating a very welcoming and comfortable environment that made our evening truly enjoyable. What really made the night memorable was the exceptional service provided by the entire team. All the staff members we interacted with were incredibly nice, polite, and attentive. In particular, I must give a special mention to Adam, who was truly great. Adam was not only very friendly and professional, but he went above and beyond to make our visit special. When he learned it was my mother's birthday, he kindly and thoughtfully brought out a slice of cake for her. This gesture of genuine care and attention made her day and demonstrated a level of service that is rarely seen. The combination of great food, wonderful atmosphere, and exemplary service ensures that we will definitely be returning to The Rising Moon Pub again very soon. We had a lovely evening, and I highly recommend this establishment to anyone looking for a superb dining experience. Thank you to the entire team, and especially to Adam, for making our evening so memorable!”
“Absolutely love this place. The food is second to none, the cocktails are amazing and the staff are extremely helpful polite and quick. I love the decor, it creates a lovely atmosphere. Very warm and welcoming place, with great live music almost daily. Plus the prices are fair, All round brilliant and definitely recommend.”
“This is a great real ale pub. Totally unpretentious- great beer and food. Also the pub dog is rather fabulous!”
“Really excellent food staff and atmosphere food was quality service was second to none the atmosphere was really friendly and family orientated”
“Went there last minute as our other plans didn't work out. I have to say I was shocked by how good the food was as I hadn't heard anything about the place. First of all I love the decor. They have made a really nice and cosy environment. And the food was just beautiful. I will definitely go back. The young staff were so good and well mannered.”
“Excellent service all round. Restraunt area full but spaces available in the bar area. Well worth a visit. Pensioner portions are the correct size and not over facing you. Meals delicious. Staff very warm and welcoming. Ample parking.”
“I booked a party for my son's 6th birthday and the staff couldn't do enough for us. Grace was a brilliant host! She explained how the party would run, double checked the food orders and ensured we had everything we needed (including unlimited juice and hoardes of food!). My son and his friends had the best time. Thank you so much! I would highly recommend.”
“Gluten free menu attached as I couldn't find it online. Some good options, food came quickly and was hot. I wished there were chips on the gluten free menu but jacket potatoes were a nice change. Service was slightly slow but was rectified quickly. They have gluten free beer which is nice. It was very busy which was nice to see considering it's tucked away.”
“I had a couple of guinness. No food. Didnt see they had Murphys until late so i will be back for a pint of that They have tayto Great atmosphere here, people enjoying the craic or watching the GAA. I visited this pub when it was the Tavern. I wrote a bad review amd critised whoever was running it, as it seems like a nice wee spot. The new people who have taken it over have put some love into this. Well done. I went in with low expectations and was proved utterly wrong. I cant understand how they can offer a free buffett. I would urge you to give this place a go.”
“We both had fillet steak and I can only say it is spot on, and for dessert we had chocolate orange cake realy nice. All the staff are really friendly and pleasant this is a really nice place to visit. ( thanks again for the cake )”
“We had a great time at Roti in Sale. We’d tried Roti in Chorlton before, but this was our first time in Sale. The dishes were very tasty and mild spicy, and the portions were generous – you’ll need three or four plates per person to fill up. The prices were reasonable, and we paid £60 for two people. The staff were really kind and the service was fast. We’ll definitely be going back!”
