“Needed an emergency accommodation due to Dv and I was booked in to the hotel at the last minute, At first I was afraid when I was told it is an hotel due to my terrible experience some years back and to my surprise it was the best I have ever gotten. No discrimination plus I needed Ramadan timetable calendar. Because where I was coming form, the time is different plus google keeps giving different time. I was afraid to asked the staff but to my surprise when I asked he told me the time and also gave me a picture…. Overall it is the best place ever especially if you have children the room is so big and accommodating I just wish their is a cooker but even without that the hotel is the best and cleanliness hotel I have ever seen and best location.”
“Airport Padzzz! A very lovely and accommodating place to be. The room was portable and very neat. The beddings, towels and other accessories were so neat and on point. The heaters worked fine. The fragrance of the facility was welcoming. The shared kitchen was neat and well equipped. The beautiful thing about this property is the location. Very close to the Manchester Airport and easily accessible. A lovely place.”
“I dined here for a special meal and it was fantastic. The building is cosy and very traditional decor making it feel very British and quiet luxury. The service was very quick and the food came out at reasonable intervals with no drawn out waiting. I had the steak and ale pie and chocolate fudge cake and wow it was wonderful. The pie filling was tender meat and lots of flavour and the pastry was lovely too. The mash and gravy and veg was perfect and had lots of flavour. The cake was like a better version of a school pudding and felt nostalgic. I was so happy overall it really is a little gem this place to eat. The atmosphere was quiet and warm and the outdoor area was filled with people enjoying drinks peacefully. Great car park too and away from main roads. Just overall fantastic and I can’t wait to return. The pie and cake was so good I feel I won’t end up trying other items because I quite literally could eat that every day!”
“Wow what can i say we had our wedding here 2 weeks ago and it really was the perfect venue. Lucy was amazing and really helpful during the planning and on the day everything went exactly as it should all the staff were amazing on the day! jake was so helpful the night before accomadating a big party for food and was amazing on the wedding day too. John our master of ceromonies was fabulous too. All guests commented on how lovely there room was. We used the Delamere suite to get ready and for our wedding night and it was perfect. Thank you so much to everybody who made our day amazing ❤️”
“Came for Christmas Dinner and from the minute you step in the door you are met by a friendly welcome. Staff are lovely and cannot do enough for you. Not in your face. Service and food were excellent . Would recommend it to anyone. Mrs donna Astles .”
“We had our Ruby Wedding celebration in the same place we were married, exactly 40 years to the date, Statham Lodge. As always, the venue, food and service were excellent. Thanks to Daisy Kate for the musical entertainment, it made a special day even better especially when she duetted with our son Nathan. Many thanks to the staff at Statham Lodge, especially Beccie and Chris.”
“Had afternoon tea at the Midland. Booked as a Christmas treat by my daughter. Both the exterior and interior are beautiful. Christmas decorations were fantastic. Afternoon tea was lovely. Good selection especially because I am gluten free. Fantastic staff, very friendly helpful. Would definitely go again”
“Lovely birthday lunch here yesterday. Yummy selection of veggie starters. We ordered the offer of 6 starts for around £30-ish for two of us and was more than enough for us both (we couldn't eat it all). Had to try the 12hr baked potatoes just to see what that was all about and they were absolutely divine! Def a recommend from me.”
“This hotel it great! Really close to shops and amenities and very clean and nicely done up. The only negative is having no hot drinks facilities in the room... and only being able to get a hot drink by visiting the restaurant downstairs :( A very special mention to staff member Lee who went out of her way to bring my food order to my room for me on the first day of my stay! Exceptional customer service which I hope will be rewarded when her superiors read this :)”
“Amazing spa hotel that caters so well for families. We come here every christmas and the atmosphere is so warm and festive The whole place is super clean and smells so nice too. we never eat there other than the snacks and coffee. The facilities are amazing and the bedroom is so spacious.”
“Great value, Martin the landlord was super helpful and accommodating with our check in times, calling me to say he was happy to open up early so we could drop our bags and grab the key allowing us to head off for the start of Rockstock. Nice pub too with a friendly atmosphere and great pint of Madri. Thanks guys.”
“Very decent budget hotel. Can’t fault the location. Right next to the train station. But I parked in a very new looking multi-storey NCP a 2 minute walk away. There’s also a handy Sainsburys Local next to the car park. Fairly standard Express room. But everything was in good order and very clean. Nice big walk-in shower with great water pressure. Breakfast quality was very good for this class of hotel and the 2 ladies running the breakfast service were very friendly and efficient.”
“Attended birthday party in the Gold Suite and stayed overnight. Food was amazing at the party and the staff were very helpful. Breakfast was very good value and again the staff were great. Lovely rooms, if a little dated. Overall a lovely stay.”
“Stayed one night with my partner, had the dinner for two deal. Stud bar was excellent, barman friendly and made a mean cocktail. Reception and restaurant staff were also friendly and helpful. The food and atmosphere in the restaurant were of really high quality and the breakfast was also amazing. Would recommend. Rooms and facilities were first rate.”
“The Wilmslow Lodge is in a good location, quiet and just minutes from the town centre. We had a nice ground floor room with a good comfortable bed, great TV and it's just feet away from our pub/restaurant.The carpark is just outside the door and there's plenty of space. An ideal place to stay for a great weekend away.”
“Really clean and in a quiet area. Large comfy room with no carpet on floor (big bonus). Friendly staff. Breakfast included, bagels, toast, yogurts, juices, fruit etc (no cooked breakfast). Bus stop just opposite the entrance with direct lines to Manch Victoria”
“Lovely, small hotel. All of the staff were friendly and helpful. Nice pub too, Excellent breakfast. We stayed one night for the standedge tunnel canoe trip. Stayed here on Friday night and then the owner gave us a lift to marsden on sat morning to join the canoe trip. Diggle end of the tunnel is 200m from the hotel. Recommended.”
“This venue is absolutely incredible. I’ve now been to two weddings here and thoroughly enjoyed both. It’s a proper hidden gem tucked away in the heart of Saddleworth, you honestly wouldn’t expect it to be quite so impressive from the outside. Inside, the décor is tasteful, elegant, and beautifully thought out. There’s a stunning balcony that overlooks the main dining area, and the outdoor space is massive, perfect for weddings and, I imagine, other events too. I also had the pleasure of meeting the owner. I ordered some drinks I wasn’t supposed to, but he handled it really politely and respectfully. It's easy as a business owner to become jaded and not speak to people as individuals or talk down to them, but he's obviously a good dude and gives people the benefit of the doubt.”
“⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Fantastic Evening at The Bulls Head, Hale! We had a wonderful experience at The Bulls Head in Hale! The service was absolutely excellent — Vicky and Josh were both friendly, attentive, and made us feel really welcome from the moment we arrived. A big thank you also to the night manager, David, who made sure everything ran smoothly and added a personal touch to the evening. The food was spot on — the scampi was perfectly cooked, the fish and chips were crisp and delicious, and the deserts were absolutely lovely. Everything was fresh, piping hot, and full of flavour. A great atmosphere, great service, and great food — we’ll definitely be coming back soon. Highly recommend!”
“I’ve had an excellent stay in the hotel, the location is perfect, easy access and quiet. Bed is super comfortable. Staff are friendly and welcoming, food is great too. I’d definitely come back to stay again, thank you so much.”
“The Guinness is good. Very good.”
“Another great 2 for 1 Fish for Friday.2 excellent meals and 2 soft drinks for less than £20. Excellent food served by efficient staff. Well recommended.”
“Incredible food, service and prices! Would definitely recommend! Their homemade chips were thick so I was expecting some hard ones, but no! Every single once was light and fluffy! I don’t know what sorcery they use in that kitchen but it’s amazing. The quality of all of their food was really good and they have to softest chocolate fudge cake, you’d have to try to understand! They use proper vanilla ice cream with it too, not the cheap stuff! It’s not sickly either, they make it perfectly. (Not stayed in their hotel, only been in for food)”
“Amazing value for money, lovely large well equipped rooms. Helpful and friendly staff. Lots of choice for breakfast including pancake machine! What’s not to love! Will definitely book this hotel again.”
“Lovely hotel, top notch leisure facilities. Rooms could be a bit larger (king size bed but not a lot of room after that), and wine pricy at the bar. Breakfast was fantastic, very tasty, wish I could have e had two each day but can't eat that much :-). Helpful and friendly staff, could t do enough to help, thanks folks”
“Easily accessible, just 6 minutes walk from Crumpsall metro. On arrival I was greeted by a very friendly lady, who throughout my stay was very nice and helpful. We checked into the room and immediately noticed how clean the room was, the whole hotel in fact was immaculate. Our room was well equipped with iron hairdryer, tv, fresh towels, and coincidentally my favourite biscuits, just everything you need. That evening after a night out I was quite cold (wet September) and the moment i got into bed, I warmed up so quickly, the bedding was fantastic, and the mattress was honestly the best mattress i have ever slept on in my whole life. It was fantastic! Annoyingly i naturally woke up early but had a lovely bath and started looking forward to breakfast. When i went down, the corridor smelled like fantastic home cooking but i made a mistake and didnt realise i had to prebook the night before. Judging by everything else in the stay, I'm certain it would have been excellent. Checkout was easy at a great time of 11 with an equally friendly gentleman. 5 stars isn't enough. It felt like a family run businesa that was managed perfectly with care and high standards. If i find myself in Manchester again, i would gladly avoid the centre and stay here. Highly recommend.”
“10 min walk to Trafford Centre. 5 min walk to pub next door. Not a scenic part of the world. Views are A-roads or vacant plots. Clean, large rooms. Modern feel. Ensuite with soap/shampoo. Breakfast was part of the deal and this was selection of help yourself hot and cold items. There is a bar in the hotel. The hotel does serve food until 9.30pm and pizzas are 24hrs room service. Car park gets busy - £5 for one night. Arrive early to get a space.”
“Great night, lovely staff. I Will be back for more. Cheers”
“Beautiful hotel. All lit up it looks amazing. Great location. We had a big comfortable room with a bath. Friendly, helpful staff.”
“We stayed in room 214, room was clean a bit on the small side, bedding and towels were clean, bed was firm and the pillows were very firm, not much of a view, we had 4 pidgeons keep in us company outside the window,we didn’t get a good nights sleep because the thermostat which was next to the bed kept clicking all night, quite loudly so we didn’t get much sleep. The soap hadn’t been re filled in the shower, we asked at reception and it was filled, staff very pleasant but overall well worth the money”
