There was no Turkey available on the Christmas menu, but there were plenty of other options available so we chose Gammon. The food was excellent quality and so delicious. “Been coming in the George for few weeks now after not being here for couple of years. Food menu has changed and is really good. Two meals for £12 on certain days. Can not complain one bit. Bar staff actually have a smile on their faces and make you feel welcome. Quiz nights music pool table live football all a bonus. Dog friendly”

“Stayed over Thursday night and had a very cosy and hospitable stay. We ate there today and the food was exceptional with great portion sizes. We were very impressed. “We visit Chorley almost every month and love to eat at Hartwood Hall. Our favourite is the filet steak which is always cooked to perfection. All the staff are friendly and helpful. On our latest visit we were served by John and Pippa, always a delightful experience. This is a popular restaurant and yet there is always a parking space and it’s free. You know you can relax and enjoy the gentle atmosphere. In summer there are tables outside, a bit close to the main road for us, so we stay indoors. So are there any problems? Only two as far as I am concerned, they don’t offer blue cheese as a cheese or a sauce and pouring cream is not on the menu either. Despite this we keep coming back for the great food, try the Mac & Cheese as a great side dish, it goes with anything.”

“We visited in a family group. The carvery food was basic and straightforward food. It isn't gourmet food but it was tasty, very affordable and generous. The staff were attentive and helpful. Booking is recommended as it is a popular place to eat. I would definitely go again thanks to the affordability factor!”

“Best curry house by far, food always 10 out of 10 and super value for money. We live in North Wales and everytime i visit my Dad in Wythenshawe we always get extra meals to take home and freeze. Chaana Saag side is the best i ever tasted and favourite curry is the Dopiaza. Thanks guys”

“The Carousel has recently had a makeover and I attended their VIP opening evening. There was a buzzing atmosphere, friendly staff and taster bites of the menu going around the room. The renovated space is lovely and is a perfect choice for a casual drink or bite to eat!”

“Great place, lots of different areas to sit, lovely food at a great price, great outdoor seating at the back, very friendly welcoming staff. Went there for a drink in the weekend and it was packed. Really appreciate the service as it was way faster than I was thinking. We will have to pay as you buy which is a great way as we don't want to worry about the bills and tips. Food is amazing I ordered a cooked chicken which as very juicer and well cooked and tasty. We have ordered a couple of drinks which was in a reasonable price. Loved the place and atmosphere definitely suggested to everyone want to have a good time. Only problem I think was with the parking, they don't have any parking as we have to find places in the nearby streets, which isn't so nice, but it's ok as it sits on the main road.”

“So, fundamentally this was a really nice place. The atmosphere is modern yet comfortable. I felt it was clean and well-looked after and I did not find anything obvious out of place. Our party was there for a wedding reception and there were quite a lot of us. We ordered a lot of food and although I felt that the service was a little slow perhaps, I didn't find it slow to the point of questioning it as, after all, they were cooking approximately 20 meals from scratch. I ordered lamb shank and crème brule and I really enjoyed the lamb. I found it to be well cooked and definitely enjoyed my meal. As far as I am aware most of our party enjoyed their meal and we found nothing to complain about with the food at all. The service was actually really pro-active and helpful and I got the impression that nothing was too much trouble and the staff were really polite.”

“A decent Marriott Hotel, which has had good investment over the years. Well presented with nice external / outsourced dining of a good standard. Well worth a stop if using the airport to go on Holiday. Good for when you need to entertain at a restaurant. “I recently ordered from L.A Pizza and Grill, and I must say, the kebab was absolutely excellent! The delivery was on time, which is always appreciated. I also liked that they used paper packaging, which is more eco-friendly compared to plastic. The portion sizes were generous, and the meal offered great value for money. “Today was my first time dining at this restaurant. On a Saturday evening, it seemed a bit understaffed. I had attempted to book a table through their website, which showed it was fully booked until 7:30PM. However, when I called the restaurant directly, I was able to make a reservation. I suspect they might have shown full availability online due to limited staff. The male staff members were very polite, but I felt that one of the female staff, who appeared a bit heavier, seemed somewhat impatient when I was ordering. The food was decent, nothing extraordinary but satisfactory. This experience left me with mixed feelings about the restaurant. The disparity between the online booking system and the actual availability was puzzling, and the varying levels of service from the staff members were noticeable. While the food met basic expectations, the overall dining experience could have been enhanced with more consistent customer service.”
