“Homeshow event was great, at some points it was really busy and hard to see stalls but there was a lot to look at, cafe with coffee and tea, vendors were so helpful and friendly.”
“A fantastic restaurant with amazing and attentive staff, our first visit and we all had the taster menu with the wine flight which was all outstanding.”
“Ruqayya was so polite and lovely. So welcoming and made us feel at ease. Food was beautifully presented. The most gorgeous dessert. Would definitely recommend for a special treat and above average delicious treat. ❤️”
“Great NT place, visited lots of times but this time, as well as using the very good cafe, we walked through the estate onto the path by the runway. Saw lots of planes taking off and landing. The grandchildren loved it!! Family membership well worth it!”
“Popped in for food and it was AMAZING!! I think new owners have taken it over about a year ago? I'm not too sure, but the menu is fabulous and everything that got brought out of the kitchen looked amazing. The staff are so friendly and accommodating. We will definitely be back.”
“Happy Valley is a lovely area just outside Bramall Park but following the same river (The Ladybrook though it does change its name a few times). Enter from Valley Road or Headlands Road and quite a few other places. Roadside parking unless you enter from the lay-by on Jacksons Lane. The Valley itself is a peaceful walk through ancient woodland and fields. Unspoilt but the path is partially paved so wheelchair friendly from Valley Road and upon reaching the bridge you cross it for further paved surface. Or don't cross the bridge and walk up the other side of the river which has plenty of benches but can get a bit boggy after sustained rain. This is my dogs favourite place and I'd guess many other dogs favourite places as they get so excited jumping into the river. All off lead walking btw. If you're not a dog walker it still holds the same beauty with plenty of room for everyone.”
“Great place for a walk. Keep in mind that It's a bit muddy this time of year.”
“Great selection of sandwiches snacks and cakes. Lovely service everytime. Brilliant take out service also!”
“Lovely place to get away from the city and enjoy some fresh air. Easily accessible by tram”
“This has been the loveliest service ever! Also, I'm Spanish and GOD, finally I found real Spanish food here in England. Their Spanish evening event was just AMAZING. I'm speechless and I will definitely come back here like, don't know... Twice a week minimum??”
“We had a lovely time at the Lakeside Adventure Park in Heaton Park yesterday. The children enjoyed playing for an extended period, and Heaton Park itself is truly beautiful.”
“Childhood walking area, nice field at the start where dogs can run around. Small stream that dogs can get a drink or play in. You can walk further into the wooded area and up to a disused rail line and reservoir, leading further onto the moors. Dogs and people are able to get down to the water.”
“Lovely nature reserve with well maintained hides. Nice cafe, and reasonably tidy public toilets although they are only open when the cafe is open. Ample parking, reasonably priced. Look forward to the reopening of the lower car park as enjoyed the walk up to the lake. The Bunting hide is my favourite. There is also a great upgraded kids play area.”
“I love these gardens so much. They are beautiful, very well tended to. Lovely benched everywhere. Nice for a short run, a promenad-y walk, a picnic, watching people with their dogs.”
“Aqua Babies: A Weekly Dose of Joy and Confidence Building. Aqua Babies Timperley has become the absolute highlight of our week, and I can't recommend it highly enough. From the moment we stepped into the pool, we were met with a truly warm and welcoming team. Their genuine enthusiasm and gentle approach immediately put both my son and myself at ease. Our instructor is fantastic, demonstrating a real passion for what they do. They create a nurturing environment where little ones can explore the water at their own pace. What's truly wonderful to witness is my son's growing confidence. Each week, he's becoming more comfortable and adventurous in the water, and it's all thanks to the patient and encouraging guidance he receives. Seeing him progress from tentative splashes to happy, independent movements is an absolute joy. The classes are thoughtfully structured and always include fun songs and games. It's clear that the team has a deep understanding of child development, and they tailor the activities to suit each child's individual needs. Beyond the excellent instruction, it's the friendly and supportive atmosphere that truly sets Aqua Babies apart. The team remembers each child's name, celebrates their achievements, and makes every session feel like a special occasion. It's a pleasure to attend, not just for my son's development, but also for the sense of community and connection we've found. If you're looking for a baby swimming class that combines expert instruction with a genuinely warm and welcoming environment, Aqua Babies Timperley is the perfect choice. It's been an absolute delight to watch my son flourish, and we look forward to our weekly swim with immense anticipation. Gemma & Jude Brookes”

“Amazing authentic guest house. Location is ideal as it's central to Hollingworth Lake and Littleborough or Smithybridge Station. Rooms are spacious and ensuite. Tea and coffee and nibbles in the room and a big old bay window. Really friendly owner who couldn't do enough for me . Fully recommend as a solo, couples, or family visit.”

“Fantastic quality and service! I recently shopped at Hollands Country Clothing, and I couldn’t be more impressed. The website is easy to navigate, the product range is excellent, and everything arrived quickly and beautifully packaged. The clothing quality is outstanding — classic, durable, and stylish. Customer service was friendly and responsive, making the whole experience a pleasure from start to finish. Highly recommended for anyone who loves quality country wear and great service!”
“Great little spot for the kids. Easy to book online. The staff were nice, the toilets and pool were clean and the pool was great for the kids. Would definitely come back.”
“Amazing Ribs, it go well with any of the 4 sauces. If only they can open the whole week for us to enjoy everyday!”
“Great place to learn to sail. Coarse was over 2days at the weekend and this one was run by Chris. He explained all that would be involved for us to do throughout the coarse. We spent half the time each day out on the water and the only issue was lack of wind but was still able to get practice in to pass the coarse. Very relaxed friendly place and the young volunteers who help us were very understanding of us being novices. Due to issues of lack of wind had been offered couple free sessions when we want to help us get more experience. Would recommend this outdoor centre to all wanting to learn to sail or do other water based activities.”
“A small restaurant, with an outside area at the front. We had a main course only, the menu while not large was interesting and the tasty food came hot to the table. We had the house wine which was good an enjoyable evening. Would return there again.”
“Love Etherow park some really good walks.”
“A great local cafe serving a variety of food by friendly welcoming owners. I would recommend the porridge, Persian or Turkish breakfast and omelette.”
