“Just nipped in for a sausage sandwich and tea. Very nice, saw specials board and wished I had time for lunch as well”
“This a a very well kept public car park. The lifts are clean and the attendant can often be see walking around on duty. Last month I miss placed my phone and when i rang it a kind gentleman answered only to tell me I had left it on the pay machine. He had it in his office waiting for me. When I arrived back the gentleman Patrick was very polite and opened the barrier so I don't have to pay for the car park again. He is a Real treasure, lovely meeting you Patrick. Keep up the good work.”
“Overall, a good place to rest in Manchester. Despite the necessity of a new face and a general cleaning, the hotel offers comfortable beds, quiet rooms, and the staff there was very friendly! Moreover, the price was very affordable being an hotel near the city centre (5 min walking).”
“Vibrant place with fabulous graffiti that stretches all around the walls 10/10”
“I have to say I was quite impressed with this experience. We took the grandchildren to visit Lightopia in Manchester and although it was cold and drizzling, we had a ball. Parking was very easy and only a short walk to one of the entrances. Entering the park was quite simple and the smell of cooking bratwurst and hot chocolate brewing permeated throughput one of the entrances. We bought some light toys for the children and they loved them! The park is well lit and the music playing all around was quite entertaining. I’m seeing a lot of comments about social distancing concerns but it’s NOT the park’s fault, rather all the people who don’t care about social distancing. It really wasn’t a problem for us so don’t let it bother you. In all honesty it was a great experience and we strongly recommend visiting if you can. It’s quite a long walk so be sure to bring comfortable shoes. The snack bars sell tasty food and the salted caramel hot chocolate was amazing! Last but not least, the light show halfway through was also awesome! Similar to what you would see at Disneyland. Have a great time!”
“Easy to find, cheap compared to nearby NCP, very convenient for Museum of science and industry. Plus can book parking online.”
“great parking, nice staff, and most importantly, decent scran. loads of salad to choose from if that's your thing, and a really tasty doner kebab. one single point lost for playing tiktoks out loud on the tv. i felt like i was on the bus with a mindless 2020s child, but aside from that, really good, well done guys!”
“An excellent learning platform coupled with experienced teachers delivering well thought of course lectures. Will definitely enrol in further courses with them. Great and perfect.”
“We had our regular annual boiler service yesterday, and were so pleased with the attention received! Danny arrived when we were eating lunch and insisted on sitting in his van whilst we finished eating (only a few minutes), as we have a walk through kitchen/diner. He then completed the service, as planned, to our satisfaction, leaving the area as clean and tidy as he found it. I can highly recommend both Danny (service engineer) and the lovely Becky ( she always organises the date and time of the annual service). Both are so polite, friendly and accommodating. Thank you Laceys!”
“We had wanted to try this place for a while but never got round to it. So glad we finally did as the food is amazing. Backed up by lovely friendly service. Great little restaurant and we’ve already been back twice. Wouldn’t hesitate to recommend.”
“Such a cute place to stop for a rest and get a great iced latte! The cake is pre prepared, I’ve had a few different ones and some have been fresh and great, the others have been a little on the stale side, but still enjoyable. The bacon rolls are yummy!”
“I had such a lovely breakfast experience here. I pre ordered and booked the day before for a late morning vegetarian breakfast. The owner was very quick to respond to my social media messages and happily made adjustments to my order. Food was delicious and service was very quick. Condiments were offered and a toilet is available inside. Seating available outside during good weather. Takeaway orders are taken. The boat was warm, cosy and full of character. The owner was really friendly and asked us questions about ourselves and built up a good rapport. Will definitely return”
“Everyone here is treated amazingly by the staff they go above and beyond. Our first time here & the food was absolutely incredible. Everything is homemade and delicious! My new favourite place for sure.”
“Beautiful scenery, there were a little rocky/sandy beach too. Lovely day out. We walked about 5 miles. It has ups and downs, so the surface is not flat which we liked. There was a pay and display carpark but the security didn't let us in as it was full. We parked up the road. Free of charge. Went in beginning of August.”
“We visited on the 6pm session on a Sunday. Around 30 people on the sessions which wasn’t to bad. Quick sign in process. Wet suits and life jackets provided. Great fun and would highly recommend. Nice little cafe on site to enjoy food and drinks for after.”
“Stunning walk along canal and locks down towards Aqueduct and Viaduct. Some steep parts if you want to go under both. Nice and clean unmolested by rubbish.”
“Although the weather has been dry and the flow of water over the downfall was reduced, it was well worth the hike over from Edale. Not sure if there's an easier route from other points around Kinder but we were glad to have tracked across Kinder to see this phenomena. There was a good wind coming up the valley so the spray was visible from a reasonable way off, the view improving as you get closer.”
“Excellent service, food superb, Sunday lunch tempura tiger prawns best I've ever had. Roast beef medium rare was divine. Highly recommend.”
“Small hidden gem, cosy atmosphere. Staff attentive and quick service. We both had burgers, The Smoker & The Texan Show Stopper.....wow. The flavours of both were great, the portion sizes were spot on. Will be back, would reccomend to others.”
“My daughter and her friend did the 2 day level 1 sailing course and loved it. To have these water sports opportunities in the middle of a City is fantastic.”
“Great consistent quality food. If I'm passing by I'll stop and grab a smash burger. Easy to order online and the service is always fantastic and the food is fresh and piping hot. Great work guys.it is takeout only and most sit and eat in their car outside the place.”
“Very quick and good job. Would recommend and also will be using again. Thanks guys keep up the good work”
“What a lovely cafe , served by a very pleasant lady. Quality of food excellent, tables very clean.”
“Cute little cafe, lovely food and amazing ice cream! Very friendly staff and plenty of options for every occasion? Will definitely be back to Just-Ice!”
“Country park in Royton with toilets, picnic areas, playground and cafe (only open weekends which is a shame) There's a largish car park but also parking on the approach road (if there's space).Lots of routes that are colour coded. Some are quite steep but if you have the strength to push a pram/wheelchair uphill the trails are wide and in good condition - mainly tarmac or hardcore. There are plenty of narrower trails off these for the more adventurous.”
“An internationally accessible haven of tranquility providing escape from the city. Dunham Massey is a brilliant green area south of Manchester, well conectes to Manchester airport. A range of flora and fauna make for a wonderful nature trail and forage, or a humble walk passively absorbing the natural landscape including forested areas and open pastures featuring abundant wildlife. On our visit most of the amenities were closed due to a met office weather warning, but this didn’t stop us exploring the vast grounds in peace. They often talk about calm before the storm, but rarely the calm during the storm- which is what we experienced due to the lack of fair weather crowds. I can imagine on more typical days tje cafes and visitors centre complete this experience with a warm drink or a hot soup after a brisk autumn stroll. I look forward to experiencing these on a future visit.”
“A pretty little gardens, great in all seasons, especially autumn when all the leaves change colour. In spring the flowers are beautiful and vibrant. Good place for a short walk with the dog, although dogs are kept on leads which is good for nervous dogs or puppies.”
“Great location. Pricey nowadays. Showers were lukewarm. It's a campsite, not a hotel...upon which Google reviews does not differenciate.”
