“I recently visited a Greene King pub and ordered the rather large crispy chicken sandwich, and I was blown away by how good it was. The chicken was perfectly cooked – crunchy on the outside, juicy and tender on the inside – and it came in a generous portion that definitely filled me up. The bun was fresh, the toppings were full of flavour, and everything worked so well together. It’s the kind of pub classic that feels comforting but still made with care. Paired with the sides, it was a really satisfying meal and great value for the price. The atmosphere was relaxed and welcoming, which made the food taste even better. I’d happily recommend Greene King to anyone looking for hearty, tasty food in a friendly setting – and I’ll definitely be coming back for that chicken sandwich again!”

“Lovely meal and catered for a large group last minute yesterday as we got cancelled on July another venue. Lovely staff, we even had our own area so the kids could enjoy too. I had king prawn starter, with sea bass to follow. My child had pasta, with corn on cob and peas, and my partner had fish and chips.”

“Great Garden centre and gift shop which also sells food, toys, pet food & accessories and more. There's a lovely cafe with a play centre for kids. It's reasonably priced too - definitely worth a visit.”

“Took my niece for a meal. The food was very good, the staff friendly and helpful. I couldn't finish my steak sizzler meal the portion of chips was large but excellent value for money. Millie checked everything was OK. Thoroughly enjoyed our meals. Will be visiting again soon.”

“Visiting the area with family, it was a REALLY busy Sunday!! Our waitress Bernie was really efficient and made us feel very welcome. Ordering and service was smooth and seamless, atmosphere in restaurant was nice, its light and nicely decorated with plenty of space between tables, even when super busy we could still hear each other when talking. Food: we ordered Pizzas and Cannelloni with a side salad. Everything came nicely cooked and well presented, I love when you get food exactly as described on the menu. I definitely recommend Pixxa Express if you are shopping at Rushden Lake. Prices are on the higher side but is matched with quality.”

For just £10 per person, I wasn't expecting much, but the night exceeded all expectations. ​The Highlights ​The Food: The price included a full 3-course meal. The portions were generous, and the quality was surprisingly good considering the ticket price. ​The Entertainment: After dinner, there was a disco that kept the energy high all night. The music selection was great and perfect for seeing in the New Year. ​Value: Brilliant. In an era where many venues charge triple digits for New Year's Eve, getting a meal and a full night of entertainment for £10 is unheard of. ​Final Verdict ​If you’re looking for a night that offers a fantastic atmosphere without the "holiday markup," this is it. “Visited Towcester for the weekend, popped in on the 10th October for evening dinner, was pretty busy but food came out quick and hot. We sadly did have to rush as our table was booked for another group shortly after us. We decided to return on the 11th with a booking this time. Food was honestly 10/10, service was amazing and couldn't have asked for a better birthday meal. Many thanks to the staff for an enjoyable experience!”

“Basic room, but clean and sufficient to lay your head. Linda and staff made us feel like locals! Very welcoming and super customer service, room wasn’t ready so she gave us a discount voluntarily!which was so lovely , busy pub full of well behaved young people having fun…… but by midnight not a sound . “Me, my husband, our 4 young children and our pooch really enjoyed our lunch at this warming village pub. There was a lovely beer garden outback perfect for our dog, with a climbing frame and slide for the kids. We ordered 2 adult mains and dessert, and 3 childrens meals with icecream which cost us less than £25 (drinks an extra £16) the woman who served us was very polite and helpful. We would defenatly recommend and we will certainly be back the next time we're visiting the village.”

“Mo's kebabs are amazing! We went for the mixed kebab, chicken shish, lamb shish, chicken doner, lamb doner, kofta, salad, 2 pitta and sauce, absolutely delicious. All came served separately so no soggy bread or hot salad. It had a charcoal Mediterranean flavour reminiscent of happy holidays. Next time we'll order 2 extra pittas and 2 extra sauce as it definitely feeds a family of four. Well done Mo!”

“Brilliant service from the waitress. She was new and still did an amazing job. Amazing sirloin steak cooked to perfection and a fantastic tasting shrimp curry. The atmosphere was classy but relaxed. We had a 50% off deal which meant the food was reasonably priced for such nice food. You get what you pay for I guess. However, without the 50% off deal it is not just a casual dining experience but more of a special night out kind of price. I will be going back again and will be recommending it to my friends and family.”
