“This review is based on their curries, fried rice and naan breads. This takeaway has a very vast menu to choose from. We’ve tried some local Indian takeaways before such as The Rani Indian (hit and miss with quality and delivery) and Mango Indian (delivery time is atrocious; hours). However, after several orders, this takeaway is consistent in quality and delivery. The curry is thick and not loaded with vegetable oil served with a large portion of meat and the serving size is large. I would highly recommend this takeaway!”

“We had a lovely meal at The Royal Spiceland in Sawtry. All the food was hot, well-cooked, and full of authentic Indian flavours. There was an impressive variety to choose from, and everything was covered with lids to keep it fresh, hot, and hygienic—no chance of anything going cold or attracting flies, which we really appreciated. The selection was generous, and the hot dishes in particular were absolutely delicious. The only small improvements we’d suggest would be the addition of warm plates to keep the food hot while dining, and perhaps a few more dessert options. Overall, it was a very enjoyable meal with excellent quality and variety. We’ll definitely be returning!”

“This place is absolutely amazing! The food is outstanding, We started with the Tandoori Grill Chicken, which was perfectly marinated, juicy, and cooked just right with a nice smoky flavor. The Chilli Grill Prawns were another highlight — fresh, succulent, and packed with a great balance of spice and taste and I can’t stop talking about their Naans—so soft and flavorful. The Chicken Tikka Masala is hands down one of the best I’ve had, rich, perfectly spiced, and incredibly satisfying. Definitely a must-visit!”

“I'm American here to visit family. I always come here cause it's close and delicious. Naan is great, lamb Naga, lamb Madras. Some of the sauces are a bit sweet but it seems most currys in the UK are sweeter than in the US. The only other thing is the spelling is off from what I know on the menu. I thought it was a UK thing but the grocery stores go by Panner not Poner. I asked for Basmati rice but he had never heard of it. Perhaps it's my accent. It's plain rice here.”

So many reviews and filtering through what's real and made up is tough. Sometimes you have to bite the bullet and just go for it. So we went with Ecton Tandoori after spending the last 12 months being pretty disappointed with our previous efforts. What a revelation! The consistency of the sauce, the succulent meat, tasty vegetables, beautiful soft bread. Best we have had in a very long time. Well done to the whole team. One thing we would suggest on your online booking is you include a preferred delivery slot as although we asked for 7pm the confirmation suggested 5.38, and we had to send a separate email to confirm which you ever responded to.
