“This Indian restaurant is great! Open until late, food is DELICIOUS and just as spicy as you wish it was. The Gentlemen working there were extremely professional. Price is incredibly low for the quality of service. Not the best red wine I tried but you probably shouldn't be drinking it with Indian food. Also so many different dishes available. Top level! “I visited Lounge India in Marston Moretaine last week for a catch-up dinner with some close friends, and it turned out to be such a great evening. The staff were really helpful with recommendations, and everything we ordered was spot on. If you’re unsure what to go for, I’d definitely suggest letting them guide you. To start, we shared a few plates — the tandoori king prawns were absolutely delicious, the vegetable samosas were crisp and full of flavour, and the paneer tikka was a big hit with everyone at the table. We also tried the mixed grill, which was packed with different meats and cooked beautifully. For mains, I went for the chicken tikka masala, which was rich and creamy, while one of my friends had the lamb balti that was full of spice and depth. Another stand-out was the prawn korma, which was wonderfully smooth and fragrant. We paired everything with a mix of pilau rice, mushroom rice, and some fresh naan breads — the garlic naan in particular was incredible. I’ve been a few times before, and the warm welcome from the staff is always consistent, which makes the experience even better. My friends really enjoyed their evening, and it was a perfect spot for us to relax, eat, and have a good time. I’d definitely recommend Lounge India to anyone looking for authentic Indian food in a friendly setting.”

“My Dad & I went to Purple Mango last Tuesday & Wednesday- opting to go a second time because the Tuesday was brilliant. Granted we have been to Purple Mango previously but there has been a massive gap and we are talking years. On the first night of us going I noticed a change to the inside and it looked great. Very inviting & spacious, and we picked the right time to go as the first night it started to fill up very quickly- party booking. The poppadoms and pickle selections was great as a small starter before the main meals, and all I can say is Wow. The flavours were intoxicating, and you could tell by just one bite that there were prepared from scratch. Going out to other Indiana restaurants I could tell that there there were but not with Purple Mango. And it was the same on the second visit too, even when ordering different meals. The staff were both friendly and welcoming. And once again the restaurant began to fill up about half an hour or so after we arrived. Emphasising how great a restaurant it is to go to. Highly recommended establishment to go to for a excellent authenthic meal.”

“stumbled across this restaurant tonight and have to say the service and food was Fantastic , we placed a large order for our family of 6 and went to pick up the food, a little cautious as this was our first time ordering from here. the service was fast and friendly and the food was amazing, the chap explained they are new owners and a few other kid bits. ever so friendly . Meals got thumbs up all round too! bloody gorgeous . we will return!”

Me and my partner spontaneously decided at 10:20 that we wanted to go for an Indian somewhere, we rang and asked if we could still be seated in the restaurant as it was so late and they said they were happy for us to come in. We arrived with beautiful service greeted at the door shown to our table, seen to in perfect timing, drinks and poppadoms were delivered quickly. The food was absolutely superb everything was delicious and fresh, we took everything we couldn’t finish home with us and we can’t wait to go back!”

Had a lamb madras and chicken madras - the restaurant adjusted the heat of the latter for my guest. Good range of drinks. Kingfisher and Cobra beer and spirits, liqueurs etc. Food served at table on heated metal plates. Gave us a free side dish (sag aloo). Little chocs at end. I always come here when staying in the area. Nice evening.”
