“Friendly, attentive staff. We were asked where we would like to sit, which was nice as we preferred a booth rather than benches. Easy to order, easy to pay bill via QR code (no app required) or in person if preferred. Food arrives from the kitchen as and when its ready - I love this as we tend to order dishes we can share so it makes for a very sociable meal with family or friends. Loved all the food we ordered - great selection of starters and mains. Love the drinks menu selection - it's nice that is not the same as every other restaurant. There are toilets upstairs for those who are able - accessible toilet is on the ground floor. Our bill came to around £20 per head, not cheap but very enjoyable.”

“Had a great stay but you need your own car in this location. Though, it ia stunningly beautiful and very quiet in the middle of nature and pastures. The hotel and rooms were tidy and up to good standards. The kitchen food was good with good variety and fresh ingredients. Hotel staff was very friendly and super helpful. I would really recommend staying here, either for a group event or foe yourself. Don't forget to visit the nearby railway museum and pitoresque pub!”

“I honestly don't know what people are moaning about. We pulled up on the boat. Free of charge And were greeted with great hospitality. We had the best cider and food was delicious the fish and chips was the best ever fish was nice and thick. Chips were awesome cooked perfectly home made tarter sauce hot. Butter to melt over extra crusty bread. My cheese and chicken leak pie was hand made cooked in an oven skillet pan , beautiful and ate outside before falling asleep on the boat woke up had cappachino and cooked breakfast. Claiton was lovely my cappachino was taken to a sunny table in the garden. Best experience ever.”

“Booked a table for 6, seated promptly, extremely busy time of the day and every table full, they still managed to serve quickly at the carvery station with lots of choice and replaced anything that was running low immediately, the atmosphere was very pleasant, family dining at its best, the food is fresh and filling, the cake after was delicious but no way we could eat it in 1 go. Its huge but from start to finish a real pleasure. And the staff are speedy. Friendly and efficient”

“Great village pub with cosy open fires. Seems to be a little short of staff these days but they keep smiling. The manager Mark is always there to welcome you or to say goodbye when you leave even when he's having a beer.”

Probably it's combination of all: the amazing park (it's inside Bedford Park), the restaurant building (old-ish), the natural style decor & cleanliness, relax & friendly atmosphere, last but not least can order eggs benedict, which not too fancy, but quite delicious. Food fingers also available. I'm a tea drinker but not a sweet tooth person. The yogurt is rather too sweet for my liking. Wished they aren't, because I like the taste.”

“This asian grocery is a great spot if you're craving authentic Asian flavors. They've got everything from fresh seafood to perfectly roasted ducks. Love their fresh veggies, fruits, and yummy Asian pastries too. The store is super clean and well-organized, which makes shopping a breeze. They also have a cool selection of frozen dim sum and fish balls for easy hot-pot / dim sum / meals at home. And don't get me started on the snacks—they're tasty and super cheap! “Fabulous room and location. I eat in the restaurant first night and the menu didn’t really have anything I fancied so I just ordered the chicken wings. They were greasy and soggy so I left most of them. Waiter was very attentive. Plenty of decent restaurants very nearby so I ate out for the rest of the time. Lovely hotel. Beds extremely comfortable and I loved having six high quality pillows. Would stay again. Very convenient for train station.”

“Popped in for a Massala Chai (which was gorgeous) We were made to feel so welcome & comfortable to ask questions. We ended up having a couple of snacks as well because the food smelt too amazing to not have a little something. Value for money, especially considering the portion sizes. I will be back. ❤️”

“Visited Towcester for the weekend, popped in on the 10th October for evening dinner, was pretty busy but food came out quick and hot. We sadly did have to rush as our table was booked for another group shortly after us. We decided to return on the 11th with a booking this time. Food was honestly 10/10, service was amazing and couldn't have asked for a better birthday meal. Many thanks to the staff for an enjoyable experience!”
