“Bertie has been to the groomers three times now. Each time, the ladies have given him a good brush, good ear and eye clean and claw trim. As Bertie is long haired, he also has a trim round his back area to keep him clean, tidy and respectful. He's always come home smelling lovely with no signs of anxiety so must enjoy himself ❤️❤️. Cat groomers are rare, so its fantastic to not only find one, but for them to be a complete gem. I would highly recommend anyone to come here for their cat grooms.”

“We stayed in the Alpaca, Ranger and Hamlet (hamlet pictured below) safari tents for my sister's hen this past weekend and whilst the weather tried to put a dampener on affairs the accommodation was well equipped with everything we could need to celebrate and to keep warm with plenty of blankets, hot water bottles and the toastie log burners, the beds were comfy, shower piping hot. Honestly couldn't recommend enough, would just like to go back when it's abit warmer and dryer.”

“Ecton house is absolutely stunning,in a perfect location. The house and gardens are amazing with the added bonus of a hot tub. I had the best weekend there with my girl friends and would definitely recommend staying here. The hosts were so welcoming and friendly and I will definitely be back”

“Fantastic B&B, run by a warm and friendly couple. Jane and Charles cannot do enough for you. So much so, you feel like part of the family - especially if you here for a long-term stay. The Annex accommodation is excellent and so is the food. The cleaning standard and attention to detail reflects the conscientious attitude of the owners and the "nothing-is-too-hard" approach strengthens the appeal of this B&B. With three friendly pubs, a couple of down-to-earth convenience stores and easy access to the M1, West Haddon is an ideal place to stay - especially at the Shepherds Row B&B.”

“I have a very difficult dog who refuses to eat in kennels, so far for up to 3 weeks! Hazel Tree staff noticed where other kennels, with great reviews, have failed despite my raising it as an issue. Hazel Tree also addressed it and he was willing to eat there. He is normally anxious but thrived at Hazel Tree Kennels and ran off happily when I dropped him off without a backwards glance. I cannot recommend them or praise them highly enough and so wish I hadn't moved away. I have failed to find a kennels this good either before with my previous dog or since. 10 out of 10 if that were an option!”

“We had decided to go on holiday a bit last minute and because the dates changed, our usual kennels didn't have availability. We have two large dogs, both rescues and one of them is a bit reactive until he gets to know you and also doesn't like other dogs. I'd sent some web requests for availability (explaining about my dog's behaviour and that we were his 3rd and final home) because it was late at night so I couldn't ring. The next day I had a response from Rebecca at Sunrise Kennels saying they had availability but also inviting us to view the kennels beforehand. We did so and were greeted by Honor, who introduced herself and told us about the kennels and gave us a tour including the lovely big field where they dogs are walked. There are heated beds and the dogs could share a kennel which was great. She also said feeding them separately wouldn't be a problem as one is a grazer so the other would have his food too! On the day, our reactive dog went off with the kennel staff and didn't even look back! I managed a week before I emailed asking how they were doing and Rebecca said my reactive dog had come out of his shell and had become very playful and both were enjoying cuddles. When we picked them up, they kept running back to Jess for pets and she also let us know that they'd been fed and walked that day. For us, it was important to find a kennel that cared and would take the time to get to know our reactive dog. Even though it was a 3 hour round trip for us, it was well worth finding a kennel that we felt happy with so I'd definitely recommend Sunrise Boarding Kennels to anyone looking for a kennel. They also have a cattery.”

“Both our furbabies were nervous when dropped off, however they soon settled well. The chalets are comfortable, heated/air conditioned, with multiple areas for them to roam around/ play in. They enjoyed plenty of interaction, and fusses from the owners, Sue and Alan. They were well looked after. Would definitely recommend and would visit again.”

“I have been using Tynehill for about 9 years, usually about 3 times a year. I have recommended their service to other people as John and his team genuinely care about the dogs, and I have always felt totally relaxed leaving my dogs in their care. More importantly than me being impressed by them, my dogs are always excited to arrive on their ‘holiday’ too and happily run in which tells me all I need to know. A high quality service with a friendly atmosphere.”

“My boy Arthur has been coming to Wooden House kennels since he was 8 months old. It's the only kennels I have used. I always check the availability of dates before I book our holidays, as I don't want to Arthur to go any where else. Arthur is always happy to be there and equally happy when I pick him. The living area was very clean with plenty of toys for Maisie to play with The sleeping area was comfortable and safe. “Kay looked after our 4 month old kittens brilliantly. We were quite anxious about leaving them as they are still so young but we needn't have been. We were sent regular picture updates on WhatsApp, they had both grown so were clearly well fed and watered and Kay was fantastic with keeping hold of them last minute for two extra days as we were caught up in the Gatwick airport drone delays during the Christmas period. Would thoroughly recommend her to any who has a kitten or cat, and will definitely use her again for our future holidays. Thank you.”

“My husband and I stayed to visit Peterborough. What lovely bed and breakfast. In a picturesque village. The room was very warm and most welcoming. I was really suprised to find decaffeinated tea in the room. There was so much choice for breakfast it took me a while to choose, it was quickly served and certainly kept us full until the evening too. The staff were very friendly and nothing was too much trouble. We hope to visit again.”

“Modern and stylish B&B, renovated to an exceptional standard, with well thought out interior design. The host (Adam) was super friendly and couldn’t do enough for us. Our bedroom was beautiful, with tea and coffee facilities, cookies and plenty of wardrobe space. The towels were very luxurious and shampoo and shower gel was provided. The bed was extremely comfortable and a variety of pillows were available. Our room at the rear of the property had a Juliet balcony, with views over the garden. The breakfast provided included cereal, toast and boiled eggs, with orange juice and tea/coffee. We would certainly stay here again.”

“Converted stables on small family run farm. Well equipped. Clean. Great Wi-Fi. One bed cottage with sofa bed in lounge. Well equipped kitchen area. Good location with easy access to surrounding areas. Hosts were friendly and helpful. Would definitely recommend and use again. Booked direct with hosts as we stayed a month but also bookable online.”

“We wouldn't trust anyone else with our Feline Family. Carol and Emily are extremely professional and we are so lucky to have them so close. The grooming side of the business is a Godsend, particularly as we have semi longhaired cats.”

“I spent one night before my nearby wedding at The Clock Tower with my bridesmaids and the following night with my new husband in June 2024. The rooms were big enough for our wedding party to all get ready together. Lizzie and Dave are the perfect hosts and nothing was too much trouble. They are polite, friendly and very very welcoming. All communications were spot on! The bedrooms and ensuite bathrooms are fully equipped with everything you could need and more. The rooms are spacious and spotless, the views to front and rear are to die for, the gardens are beautiful, the bathrooms are the very large, the breakfasts are plentiful (and all locally sourced produce) and were delicious. Its such a relaxing peaceful haven of calm and happiness. We cant wait to find an excuse to go back again. They have two beautiful dogs who are a pure delight.”
