“We went for our second time recently, a year after the first time. The first time was OK, but this time the food was really great and tasty. Both times were on a Saturday for a late lunch. We took quite a few yakitori, including the aubergine, which was so good we took another one. Also had a fried rice to carb load. Great food, very fast. Not overly friendly but efficient. Good choice of sake too.”

“Great pub, gotta be the best in the village I’d say nowadays. Always busy, had great food, something for everyone. Great garden, always has been: the place is and has been amazing since the refurb! The real ale selection is a bit lacking but that’s not their main attraction, if you want that, go to other pubs in the village! Now for the star of the show: Lawrence! He’s great, and is an amazing waiter. He takes great care of you and his customer service is always on point.”

“Wow! This Carvery was amazing! Even though we are Liverpool Fans, the Chef gave us a huge Welcome and a generous amount of meat (I had the Beef and Pork). We moved onto the Vegetables and honestly, I can't think of a single Veg that wasn't present. All of them looked fresh (2pm ish) and replenished regularly as well as being crunchy and piping hot. The table staff were welcoming too - it was worth the drive and, we'll be back. I have a modest appetite so, don't let the size and selection of my plate put you off - there were Yorkshire's, my bro had 2, and potatoes - you can have as much as you want!”

“I came to this place with my friend on Wednesday as she has been there before and she said it was really good. So we went there and to be honest I didn’t think it was going to be that good l. However I was completely shocked how good the food was in fact I was i element eating the food. The starter nachos was amazing the nachos was proper nachos they put the right amount of cheese and sauce on. The calzone was absolutely amazing. The portion size are big portions. The staff were lovely. The owners are lovely. I would 100% recommend this place to anyone.”

“Popped in on a Tues at 2.30pm. Luckily they serve food whilst loads of other food places in Nottingham were closed. Ordered lamb kofte and burger and chips. Food was served quickly and was delicious. Decor and atmosphere upstairs is very well decorated with posters, large screen tv and plants. I would recommend popping in.”

“The food was amazing. We had a chicken and lamb Sunday lunch. A good sized portion and very reasonably priced. We had GF Chocolate Fuche cake with custard and sticky toffee pudding with custard. Both were delicious! I would highly recommend a visit! We had booked an outside table and were running late. We called to let them know and they were very understanding. Service was excellent. “10outof10 from start to finish We went for the tasting menu which was just perfect Every dish was so delicious and well presented from the sourdough bread (the marmite butter was divine) to finish off with the waygu steak but the chicken pate was something extra.. by far the best dish I had in my life!!! Big shout out to Chris which looked after us so well and make us feel so comfortable and btw the wine he recommended us was spot on.. My only wish would be for the vegan options to be listed on the main menu, but they have plenty of options- you just need to ask. “Tried for the first time. They started doing a buffet option on Sunday only, which I tried. You still have the option of ordering from the main menu if you prefer. In my opinion, the buffet menu was really good value for the money £20 per person, To start with, They brought prawn crackers out with a sauce, while we waited for the starter, the starter came out on as a platter, which you can order more of, the mains you go up as much as you like, afterwards they offer a tea or a coffee on the house, I would highly recommend the food was delicious, constantly checking and filling the buffet station up, inside is stunning, drinks plenty of choice, the staff are very friendly too they can't do enough for you, I've got to say I will be returning again.”

“If you're wondering how good the Earl of Chesterfield is under new ownership you have no need to worry - it's fantastic! We've just had an absolutely wonderful meal - the food was beautiful and the staff were brilliant. The manager (I think his name is Joe) is superb!”

“Had a meal booked with my partner as we were staying the night a few doors down. Service was flawless. Very attentive and friendly and ensuring we had our water topped up. Food was absolutely delicious and flavourful. Very reasonably priced :) Had the prawn crackers, cocktail soup (enjoyed it so much forgot to take a photo until the last few mouthfuls), mocktail, chips, sweet and sour chicken and coconut rice. “The perfect local cafe, lovely staff, clean tables, gorgeous food. went in to grab a drink with a classmate to get some work done for university, whilst it was busy part of the duration we were there, it was quiet and we were able to focus on getting our work done and still be able to hear each other despite talking in low voices. quick service despite it being busy, an ideal location to hold a meeting.”
