“We have had food from here a long while ago, and to be honest I wasn’t impressed. Hence not ordered from here for a long time. On Monday 13/2/23 we thought we’d try the fish and chips for 2 offer… 100% we would order again. Well done you guys. Fish was a decent size, loads of chips, so nice and ‘clean’. You even rang to apologise for no curry sauce and offered us a different one.”

“We discoved KUKU during our first visit to Plymouth and had a lovelydining experience! Conveniently located in the city centre, we managed to get a table without a booking on a Sunday evening, which was a pleasant surprise considering how busy it was. We were celebrating our anniversary, and KUKU turned out to be the perfect spot. The atmosphere was lovely—cosy yet elegant, with a warm and welcoming vibe. Despite the bustling crowd, the service was fast, friendly, and genuinely impressive. Our waiter was polite, attentive, and took the time to engage in a nice conversation with us. We shared a bottle of white wine that was crisp and refreshing. The miso soup was rich and comforting, and the Tokyo Special my partner ordered was so delicious. The noodles were perfectly crispy, and the sushi platter we shared was beautifully presented and absolutely delicious.The sushi was truly some of the best we’ve ever had - incredibly fresh and full of flavour. To top off an already fantastic evening, the staff surprised us with a complimentary ice cream dessert with chocolate sauce after hearing we were celebrating our anniversary - a thoughtful and heartwarming gesture that made the experience even more special. We would absolutely recommend KUKU to anyone visiting Plymouth.”

“Plymouth Miller & Carter as always, was outstanding! We go a few times a year and it’s always amazing. Nikki has served us here a few times and is amazing! Very attentive, couldn’t do more to help, makes sure everything on our orders comes out correctly. Nothing is ever a bother and she does it all with a smile and a laugh. Lovely meal for our 1st anniversary and of course we will be back soon.”

“I have been coming to this restaurant for 49 years and I can honestly say that I have never had a bad experience. I have travelled all around the world eating at some very nice restaurants, ranging from 2* to Michelin star and I always try to compare them. A fantastic range of food catering to everyone’s needs and tastes. I’m a steak man and they do the best cuts around, Cooked to perfection and the flavours are phenomenal. So if you are hungry and want the best, give them a try.”

“Area that this place is located looks a bit on the rough side (first time in Plymouth so please take that with a pinch of salt). This place is split into 2, one part is a pub with pool table and tvs to watch football, the other part is a sit in restaurant. Ordered the southern fried chicken burger meal and a few beers, I was impressed with the great customer service and lovely food. My bun was slightly over done on the toasted side, but I liked it, no complaints from me. Plenty of parking available too”

“Greta place to dine and great atmosphere The restaurant is on the first floor and overlooks the harbour and quay. Some quirky architecture makes this place fun and spacious, large glass windows give good views of the yachts docked in the harbour. Food was lovely, served quite quickly and of good portions. Had burgers, carbonara (with chicken) and Milanese chicken. All really tasty meals. Good selection of desserts too. Service was good and staff were attentive. Would recommend a visit and eat here. Has its own parking so no need to pay parking elsewhere. Though one part of the car park says 3 hours and the other says permit only. The one car park has both and you can stay for up to 3 hours for free when dining at the restaurant”

“Excellent, very tasty and filling Sunday lunch. Three of us and we each had something different: for starters, Caprese salad, Arancini with beef n Ragu, Arancini with mozzarella, and truffle. Then different mains: lamb, chicken, and roast beef. We each commented on the taste, with hickory which made it very pleasant but it was all cooked v well, esp the meat and the roast potatoes, I felt. Excellent latte coffees to finish, too. (We were too full for dessert!) We had a window table so very light, which was good. The service was very good, patient and informative when asked. The ambience was relaxed and chatty - bistro type pub? Toilets were modern n v clean too. Would definitely recommend.”

“We stopped in for breakfast on Saturday and were so impressed by the quality of the food and service that we came back the very next day for a Sunday roast. Breakfast was served quickly with a delicious coffee, and the quality of the ingredients was superb. Everything tasted fresh and well-prepared. Sunday lunch was absolute perfection. I had the lamb, which was beautifully tender, while my partner had the beef — both were excellent. The Yorkshire pudding was light and crisp, and the roast potatoes were spot on. A wonderful experience on both visits — we’ll definitely be back!”

“8 of us on a golf weekend. Booked months in advance but on the night they had no record of booking. Fortunately, even though it was a Friday, they weren't busy so could fit us in. We chose the banquet for 8 (c) and the food that was served up was amazing. High quality from the sweet and hit soup, to aromatic crispy duck pancakes, starters and many, many main dishes Serve throughout by the waitresses was excellent. Highly recommend.”
