“We took our family out for dinner. There was 5 of us. Katie our server was great. She was very attentive without being intrusive. There were a couple of issues. 1) my chicken was warm not hot, 2) the bowl of custard my mother-in-law had, the bowl had a big chip out of it and 3) my custard was flat cold. Katie sorted my custard for me and even got me some extra. Although this was disappointing we still all enjoyed ourselves. We Will definitely be back at some point.”

“Another pub we visited that used to be a favourite from my time in the RN 1980's. Still a nice sized pub with a decent selection of alcoholic drinks. No outside seating areas at all, so smoking is outside the entrance doors on the street.”

“Stopped off here for a coffee while on my daily walkies and I'm so glad I did as the coffee was what I expect a decent coffee to taste like - hot, well roasted and rich. The staff were really friendly and very knowledgeable about the food and drink available to buy. The Greek also has its own seating outside which offers exquisite views of the harbour and is ideal for people watching. Didn't get to try the souvlaki wraps on offer but The Greek is now on my favourites list for lunch served by staff with great personality.”

“Delicious meal. Cheap midweek menu. £6 a meal Mon-Fri 12-6pm. Love the fact the calories are next to the meal on the menu. Didn't have to wait too long. Only criticism is when you arrive and are seated it would be nice to be told what's not on the menu that day instead of waiting until you've decided what you want then telling you and you have to rethink your meal choice under pressure.”

“i was visiting england for the first time and this was one of the first bars i got to experience. i stopped by for just a couple of drinks with friends but the atmosphere was really nice so we ended up staying even longer. we had a lot of really good conversations with our bartender rob and it made the night really enjoyable! can’t speak on the quality of the food as we already ate but overall good experience”

“We recently stayed overnight in the Premier Inn, Plymouth East Hotel and were delighted to find the Marsh Mills Beefeater so conveniently close to the hotel. We enjoyed our evening meal and was served by a very efficient and helpful young lady by the name of Judith. The meal itself was thoroughly enjoyable, reasonably priced and the table that we sat at was comfortable and had a lovely warm atmosphere. We also thoroughly enjoyed our breakfast the next morning and we were served by a very efficient and helpful young man by the name of Gabriel. The meal itself was really enjoyable, reasonably priced and set us up for the rest of our busy day. We can thoroughly recommend the Marsh Mills Beefeater as a delightful, comfortable and reasonably priced place to enjoy some hearty, well prepared and tasty food.”
